On October 1, 2021, a hotel called "The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park" opened along Minami Odori 2-chome. The second floor's "CANVAS LOUNGE KOKAGE" is a trendy and stylish spot popular among young women. Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 3 PM, the place was almost full. Managed to find a two-person table near the counter and ordered two iced coffees and a strawberry and pistachio sundae. The wait was about 16 minutes. The iced coffee was weak in coffee flavor and not worth the price. The sundae had a nice balance of sweetness, with the pistachio ice cream being creamy and the strawberry ice cream having a fresh and tangy flavor. The overall taste was decent, but the cost-performance ratio was not great. However, considering the view of Odori Park, it might be worth it. Even though I don't have plans to stay at the hotel, I might visit the cafe section at night in the future.

It's a bit inconvenient to pay each time, but sometimes it's nice to visit such a place, isn't it?

I was always curious about the hotel architecture using wood from Hokkaido. This time, I stayed for one night on my way back home. I had dinner and drinks in Susukino. I checked in late. It would have been nice to relax in my room, but I decided to unwind in the lounge instead. It felt like having tea time after dinner. The lounge had indirect lighting and the warm glow of the ethanol fireplace. There were counter seats, table seats, and sofa seats, but I chose to sit on the sofa near the fireplace for a while. Depending on where you sit, the light can be a bit distracting as it's in front of the check-in counter. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they adjusted the lighting for me. The location is great, right in front of Odori Park and the TV Tower, so it's a nice place to take a break during the day or night.

I wanted to go to the rooftop, but it was reservation only for Genghis Khan, so I went to the lounge on the second floor. They have cocktails, whiskey, gin, and other drinks unique to Hokkaido. I ordered a highball made with hojicha, which wasn't particularly delicious, but the space with many sofas and indoor plants was relaxing and nice to spend time in!

During Golden Week, I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while who was on a family trip from Kanto. We decided to have tea together, so I searched for a good place to meet up. Many places were fully booked, but a friend recommended the second floor of the Royal Park Canvas Hotel as a relaxing spot. When I called the restaurant, they assured me that they had never been fully booked since opening, so I didn't need to make a reservation. I arrived around 3 pm to secure a seat before our meeting time, and there were a few customers already there. Soon after, the place was reserved for us. It's a self-service style where you order and pay at the counter, then bring your drinks to your table. They serve iced coffee in large packs for self-service. There's Wi-Fi and power outlets at the counter seats. I waited for my friend on the comfortable sofa seats. The atmosphere was pleasant with moderate background music. I decided to have a herbal tea for my second drink. After returning home, I thanked the person who recommended the place, and they mentioned that it seemed different from their visit, suggesting that the restaurant may have changed its concept. They also have parfaits, light meals, and cocktails available. The location near the TV Tower is convenient and easy to find, making it a great spot for meetups.

It is also a lounge in the hotel, so there are many guests checking in. It is open to the general public as well. Located on the second floor with a great view of Odori Park and the TV Tower right in front. It is a stylish space where you can relax very well. I would like to visit again.

The atmosphere is really nice. It's a Cafe that makes you want to have it all to yourself. But they also serve alcohol, so it's a Cafe & Bar. Perfect for a relaxing time. (The photo shows orange and apple juice) Next time, I would like to try some alcoholic drinks and snacks as well.

The location is great. It's in the hotel lounge. I decided to have a parfait as a final touch. I ordered it with cash. Since it's a hotel lounge, the staff leave at certain times and it becomes unmanned, so I felt rushed. There are many sofa seats so you can relax comfortably.

There are people who are picky about fruits but seemed satisfied. I had only coffee and took one bite of the parfait. They said the appearance and taste were good.

There was a stylish fire pit on the table, it was fun! Music was playing and the atmosphere was nice! I would like to stay at the hotel too!
