I visited this place for work, away from my home, looking for a place to stay and relax. Although I was hoping for hot springs in Shiraoi, they were not available. However, there is a great hot spring nearby that you can enter at a low cost, so it wasn't a big downside. The accommodation cost 6,500 yen per night with two meals included, and it includes heating during the winter season. The room was spacious enough at 8 tatami mats, even for one person. Despite being near the station, the place was very quiet as it was away from the main road, allowing me to sleep peacefully at night. The meals were decent, with the boiled cod being particularly delicious. Shiraoi is known for its cod roe, and they served it generously, making it a great accompaniment to rice. The breakfast was also traditional and tasty, with plenty of furikake to add to your meal. The landlady was very friendly and had a lovely smile. I would love to stay here again if I am in the area.
