[Food Review] McDonald's Tomakomai Paseo Store Location: Chawanomachi, Tomakomai City Menu items: Big Mac, Spicy Chicken, French Fries, Cola

I stopped by for a snack at 3 o'clock and had the usual "Big Mac" and "Fries" set. The taste was consistent as always, but there was an acrylic barrier that wasn't there a few years ago, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The location is McDonald's Tomakomai Paseo store.

I'm studying hard for an upcoming exam, so I'm holed up in McDonald's, working and reading. I love spicy chicken McNuggets, so I'm happy they're back. This year, there are two sauces: zesty lemon tartar sauce and three types of chili sauce. The spicy chicken McNuggets are bright red and really spicy. You definitely need a drink with them. I ordered a McFizz this time. The spiciness hits you slowly after you eat. The three types of chili sauce include habanero, jalapeno, and bird's eye chili, giving a rich and spicy flavor. These sauces are also really spicy but delicious! As a fan of spicy food, I really enjoyed them! Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I suddenly felt like eating McDonald's fries so I went to the store. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a Double Cheeseburger. The burger was delicious, but the fries were old and dry, lacking in quantity, and honestly disappointing.

《February 2022 First Visit》I've mentioned in a previous review that my favorite menu item at McDonald's is the "Sausage Egg McMuffin." The combination of slightly salty English muffin, sausage patty, and egg is just perfect, making it my personal number one among burger menu items at various chains. I've always liked English muffins, but they are not commonly found in bakeries or stores. When I used to live in a place where they were available nearby, I would toast split English muffins, fry eggs and bacon, and make muffin sandwiches. At McDonald's, the morning menu offers five types of muffin sandwiches until 10:30 am, with the "Sausage Egg McMuffin" being my favorite. I find that just sausage or egg alone, or even two sausage patties, feel a bit unbalanced. Interestingly, with the morning menu exclusive "McGriddle," I find the "McGriddle Sausage" without egg more delicious, showing how taste preferences can vary. In my late teens, I used to work at Lotteria during the day and at a high-class club in Susukino at night (^◇^;) I loved Lotteria, but I couldn't find their stores easily (^^;; So, I also love McDonald's and Dom Dom (^｡^) Is Dom Dom still around? This time, I tried the "Double Cheeseburger" and the "Ebi Fillet" on my way home from work through the drive-thru. Now, for the taste test! It was irresistible (≧∀≦) I ate too much before going to bed (＞＜)

In the morning, I left my parents' house in Sapporo and walked through Yunicho and Anpeicho to reach Tomakomai City. I took a little break here... About 40 years ago, I used to be a resident of Tomakomai City, but back then this area was surrounded by wilderness despite having roads. It has changed a lot since then. In the midst of this transformation, there is a McDonald's located in a small independent store in a shopping center based on a cooperative. The store is small, but it has counter seats with power outlets. There is free Wi-Fi available, although there is also a paid version. On this hot day in Hokkaido, the air is dry and my throat gets dry when it's hot. So, I decided to go for the Premium Roast Iced Coffee M. When I opened the lid, it seemed like there was a lot of ice, but it's okay... as long as it quenches my thirst and allows me to take a break. After this, I will go to Shiraoi for a visit to the grave, and then take a ferry from Muroran to make a U-turn back to Saitama Prefecture.

In the fall, every year, a "moon viewing burger" that resembles a fried egg on the moon is available. Personally, I never felt inclined to buy a hamburger with a fried egg on it, as it didn't appeal to me visually or taste-wise. However, one day after a tough day at work, I ended up going through the drive-thru and ordered the "moonlight burger" for myself. I also got the "golden moon viewing burger" for my wife to go. Moonlight Burger - ¥490 At first, I thought it was the "moon viewing burger," but upon closer inspection, it actually says "moonlight." When I see the word "moonlight," it reminds me of the older generation's reaction to "Moonlight Mask"! A Japanese hero with a turban-like headgear and sunglasses, armed with two guns, was the first of its kind in Japan. However, this show aired before I was born, between 1958 and 1959! For my generation, "moonlight" brings to mind "Ninja Captor"! I used to watch this show glued to the TV! I loved it. He carried a gun but fought using shurikens and a sword on his back. Truly a ninja! Looking back, it was mainly close-quarters combat. And he wore a helmet that resembled the tank helmet used by armored units (laughs). Oops, I got off track. The burger comes with three 100% beef patties! But it's 632kcal, so if you eat this with fries, you'll exceed your calorie intake. Am I really concerned about calories now? I can already hear someone saying that (laughs). Golden Moon Viewing Burger - ¥390 The bun is yellow with butter. I tried a bit of this, and it felt slightly chewy. Why is the packaging so fancy for this?

After work, I often look at coupons on my smartphone on my way home and think, "I want to eat this today!" but end up just passing by without getting anything (laughs). Oh, not a drive-thru, but just ignoring it and going home. It's like leaving it on read (laughs). Well, I'm on a diet so I just look at the coupons for fun (^^;;). But this time, I couldn't resist! I ended up going straight to the real "drive-thru" (laughs). A "Double Beef Double Cheese Burger" for only 420 yen! (400 yen with coupon). Can you really pass that up? (laughs) And a Premium Triangular Chocolate Pie with Hazelnuts (150 yen) looks so good♪ I took it home and took a picture! These four layers of meat and cheese... irresistible! When you take it out, the meat loses some of its juiciness and becomes a little dry, but that's part of why I love McDonald's burgers (^3^)/. By the way, I used to work at Lotteria during my student days. - Premium Triangular Chocolate Pie with Hazelnuts This is called premium, but isn't the whole point of something being premium that you can feel the premium-ness compared to the regular version? But I haven't tried the regular version, so I can't really say... but the chocolate inside is pretty good! Maybe the viscosity is just right? When I was on Twitter, I kept seeing Ikeda Koji appearing a lot, and I was wondering why. Turns out it was for a McDonald's commercial. They compared the Tokyo Roast Beef Burger to the Osaka Beef Cutlet Burger, but that's not important. Just before closing time at midnight, I went through the drive-thru to try them out. I also got some fries and a Wenzhou Mikan McDonald's Fizz, but I ended up eating and drinking them all in the car on the way home before I could take a picture (oops). Here's my review: - Tokyo Roast Beef Burger: It's not just roast beef, there's also a patty underneath. The buns are rectangular, which is a bit different. I really liked the taste and texture of this one. - Osaka Beef Cutlet Burger: There's cheese on top of the cutlet, and sauce underneath. The cheese and sauce were good, but the cutlet was a bit too chewy for my liking. Overall, in my opinion, the "McDonald's team" wins this battle.

Usually, I use this McDonald's for everyday meals. Today, I went with my fifth daughter. Me: "What should we do? Should we go to McDonald's?" A few nearby cars were waiting for their McDonald's orders. After a few minutes of waiting, a staff member brought our order to the car. It's amazing that they can deliver it without making mistakes. We wanted to eat in the car, but we couldn't take pictures, so we took the food home. Now, time to eat! Fifth daughter: "It's a juicy beef burger with Hokkaido-grown fluffy potatoes and cheddar cheese with a special onion sauce with a burnt soy sauce flavor (tentative name), right?" Me: "It doesn't seem like there are many fries, right?" McDonald's is great, even for Americans. The light taste of the McChicken burger is nice. Now, in Hokkaido, there's a feeling of safety that comes with it. Other restaurants are good too, but there's a sense of comfort here. Let's go for the Teriyaki burger set. The drink is cola, and the fries are so tasty. I'm enjoying the Teriyaki burger so much, it's seasoned perfectly. This burger is so good, I can keep eating without getting tired of it. I'm a bit worried about the calories, but it's delicious. Yum!

I was waiting for my takeout pizza at Pizza Hut when I saw a commercial for McDonald's "Black Pepper Garlic McChicken Nuggets." I remembered there was a McDonald's near the Paseo store, so I drove there in about 5 minutes and quickly bought it at the drive-thru. I couldn't resist being that customer who buys something right after seeing the commercial (laughs). The new item costs 200 yen and comes with two limited sauces: garlic soy mayo sauce and smoky cheese sauce. I chose the smoky cheese sauce because I like smoked flavors. The nuggets were blackened with black pepper, giving them a spicy kick. The garlic flavor wasn't very noticeable. The smoky cheese sauce, with cheddar cheese, had a hint of smokiness, but it was more of a subtle aroma. I love trying new items, so I was excited about this purchase! Thank you for the meal!

Maybe it's my first time at McDonald's? According to my wife, she ate there about 30 years ago in Shin-Sapporo. Daughter: "Let's go to McDonald's!" Me: "I don't want to wait in line, so I don't want to go!" Daughter: "We can order through the app, so we won't have to wait." ??? ... I turned into a "McDonald's man"! When we entered the store, they had just finished packing the bags. We were in the store for only 5 seconds. We returned home in 5 minutes and I devoured the burgers. They were delicious! Big Mac 390 yen, Teriyaki Chicken Filet Value Lunch 550 yen, Chicken McNuggets 200 yen, Medium French Fries 280 yen. Thank you for the meal!
