Located on a residential street, this place is very calm as there are no foreign tourists, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing drink. Unlike the bustling atmosphere of recent times in Tanukikoji and Susukino, where tourists from China and Korea can be loud and disruptive, this restaurant offers a peaceful and comforting environment.

I'm around the 15th street near the tram stop. I decided to check out a izakaya that caught my eye. When I opened the door, the atmosphere was dimly lit and there were only two customers, a couple. I sat alone at a table for four. I ordered a highball, a plate of four zangi, and five gyoza. The appetizer was a lonely looking tofu dish that I finished in one bite. It was tasty though. Next, the five gyoza arrived. They seemed familiar for some reason. They were good, but nothing special. The zangi, on the other hand, was great! They were quite large, so I cut them in half to make them easier to eat. They were juicy and flavorful, so I finished them quickly. This place would be good for a quiet drink alone or with one other person. The total came to over 2,000 yen, which felt a bit expensive. Thank you for the meal.

I had never been to this izakaya near my house because it was too close, haha. Its main feature is that it's open until 4 in the morning! The manager is a triathlete, haha. I ordered beer and their famous fried chicken, along with a fancy salad. There were no other customers at 6 pm, so naturally I ended up chatting with the manager. I mentioned that there weren't many customers at this time, and he said their peak time is from 1 am! Nurses come in and drink a ton of beer, haha. Must be a stressful job. As we chatted, the famous fried chicken arrived! So good! Fried chicken and beer go so well together, right? Definitely! Haha. I've had too much to drink, so I'll head home now. Thank you for the meal. Maybe I'll come back late at night next time? Nah, it's kind of scary, so I'll pass, haha.

I'm Aiyo, not the kind you see here and there. I made good use of the microwave even for my hot coffee, but when I came for lunch, it was lunchtime with no customers ahead of me and only one customer behind me. I chose the Zangi plate and the seasoning options were salt, ginger mayo, chili mayo, and even crispy, although it wasn't listed. I asked for a recommendation and was told that ginger mayo was good, but salt comes through well in the end. So, I went with the ginger mayo Zangi. The first Zangi was half flour, the second was different, but considering the meat quality, portion size, and cost performance, I remembered another restaurant and felt a bit of regret. The rice was sticky and clumpy, and I left about 70% of it. The Genghis Khan sauce-like condiment didn't suit my taste at all, so I retired from it. The Knorr corn soup felt diluted. The corn soup at internet cafes or karaoke places tastes better. The hot coffee was a mild type that didn't have any bitterness or acidity, just a flat taste. ☆☆☆ Coming up next time ☆☆☆ The popular fried chicken for evening parties, is it the same as the one I had for lunch?

~Revisit~ Today is Sunday, but the restaurant was open (usually closed), so I revisited for the shrimp again! As usual, my companion and the staff were in the middle of explaining the system, but I immediately decided on "all-you-can-drink and shrimp!" Well, it's a revisit, but... listen to the explanation... Anyway, cheers with a beer! The shrimp was delicious! I also ordered onigiri, zangi, and tsukune because I was hungry. The skewers were okay, but the tempura was crispy and tasty. The onigiri was big and satisfying. The place seemed to be reserved for a private event, which made it nice and calm for drinking. Thanks for the meal! ~First Visit~ I happened to stop by this place and it had a nice atmosphere like a calm café. I took a seat. Oh, they have all-you-can-drink... cheap! Of course, I ordered it. They said one item per person, so my companion wanted sashimi, and we ordered sweet shrimp. The size and taste of the 10 shrimp were amazing! I wanted to order more, but they were sold out, which was disappointing. We also ordered a skewer assortment and a crab and egg omelette. The skewers were a bit tough, and the eggs were average. But they had a variety of drinks to choose from, so it was not boring. I want to revisit soon.

A few years ago, there was a restaurant featured on TV, but it was located in a rather subtle place. The reporter asked, "Why is the restaurant named 'Aiyo'?" and the response was, "You'll find out later," when ordering, the staff energetically replied with "Aiyo!" The interior of the restaurant was unnecessarily large, mostly with table seats where you could relax and feel like a lord. The staff were middle-aged, which was different from when I saw them on TV, where they were all young, so I was a bit worried. I ordered the "Chicken Skewers" and the "Milfie Pork Cutlet." The staff responded with "Certainly." It seems like the younger staff members are no longer around. It's true that being spoken to in casual language like "Aiyo" by middle-aged people is a bit strange. The appetizer was "Bang Bang Jee," which looked like miso sauce with marmalade sauce. It was a strange combination that didn't quite go well with alcohol. The "Milfie Pork Cutlet" arrived, clearly showing layers of pork cutlet stacked on top of each other. The cutlet was crispy and dipped in ponzu sauce, which dripped down with each bite. Ponzu sauce surprisingly complemented the dish well. I love Milfie because it enhances the juiciness of the meat. I once had a pork belly Milfie and felt so happy. The "Chicken Skewers" were large chunks of chicken, with a chewy texture and a satisfying saltiness. Although the seasoning was a bit light, it was just right. The abundance of green onions on top was a pleasant surprise. Despite being in a subtle location, the restaurant only had one group of customers. But it seems they have managed to survive for a long time. "Aiyo" is a place I would like to ask about, but I feel like I would get a cold response if I did. Overall, it was an interesting izakaya experience.

We have used this restaurant for banquets with 4-6 people several times. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious. It is not usually crowded so you can relax comfortably. The menu is extensive with their specialty being Zangi and Shime Saba. The food tastes great with beer. During the winter, you can also order hot pot such as motsu nabe, collagen nabe, and shabu-shabu starting from one portion. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making it a user-friendly restaurant. When we used it for a group of 15 people, the service was a bit slow as there was only one chef and one to two waiters, but for smaller groups of 4-5 people, it is a great place to enjoy drinks with close friends.
