I stayed at this hotel in Asahikawa in March 2022. I chose this hotel because they offered a breakfast buffet with seafood bowl, were close to the station, and had a hot spring. Since I was staying in separate rooms from my friend in a business hotel, the photo is of a single room. The room was not very spacious but not inconvenient either. There is a natural hot spring facility on the 2nd floor, which can be used by the general public. There is also a sauna, but it was not in use in the morning. There are several baths, including an open-air one, which was refreshing even in the snowy season. The snow blowing in added to the experience. I stayed for 2 nights and used the breakfast buffet on the second day of the trip. We did not have breakfast included, so we paid on the spot to use it. The buffet area is next to the front desk on the 1st floor. There are table seats and sunken kotatsu-style seats inside. Families might find the sunken seats convenient. The breakfast buffet costs 1760 yen, which is reasonable for a local business hotel. Since the pandemic, it has become common to wear vinyl gloves when getting food. As for Asahikawa gourmet, they had soy sauce yakisoba, shinko-yaki, Asahikawa ramen, and Hokkaido gourmet items such as Genghis Khan, salmon, hokke, imomochi, scallop fry, seafood bowl, and dried Matsumae pickles. I was happy to see my favorite katsu-ni and ham dishes. I would have been even happier if they had cheese. The seafood bowl had ikura, squid, sweet shrimp, salmon, and negitoro, I think. The variety was not extensive, but I appreciated the availability of vinegared rice. Personally, I enjoyed the squid the most. The curry had plenty of meat and was slightly sweet and spicy, making it suitable even for children. The dessert was Kumazasa pudding made with Hokkaido milk, fresh eggs, and cream. It had a hint of Kumazasa flavor, making it easy to eat. Considering the price, the buffet had a good variety and homemade dishes, making it enjoyable even if used for two days.
