Nagasakiya Obihiro store has various dining options on the 1st and 2nd floors, but the original restaurant floor (4th floor) has been seeing closures over the years, and now only this soba restaurant remains. I felt like having soba, so I decided to go in. Despite the lack of people around, there were actually quite a few customers inside, including some ladies who seemed to make it a routine after shopping at Nagasakiya. From the outside, the interior looked a bit dated and dimly lit, but it had a stylish, sophisticated grey-toned Western decor from the early Heisei period. The quality of the wall materials was also high. Now, onto ordering. It seems like this soba restaurant is a sister store of "Ichifuku" at Fujimaru Department Store, as the menus are quite similar. I ordered the large mori soba for 780 yen. The soba was served promptly, and while the portion seemed slightly smaller than Ichifuku, it came with a sufficient amount of tempura. The noodles were well chilled and drained, and overall, it was just delicious soba. The staff worked efficiently, and I left feeling pleasantly full. I didn't notice any negative points mentioned in past reviews on Tabelog. While Nagasakiya Obihiro store has many vacant stores, it's good to see that the variety of dining options is being maintained. I silently support them. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely come back again.

I went to the soba restaurant Ikkyu-san! It was my first visit to this place, as I like to try new soba restaurants. It is located on the 4th floor of Nagasaki-ya in the south of Obihiro Station. There are only three food and drink establishments in this corner now, including Hageten. It felt a bit lonely with only one more shop. The restaurant was crowded due to the 10-day holiday, but I was able to find a seat quickly as there were about two empty seats. The menu is very small, which was convenient with pictures. I ordered the Mori Soba for 650 yen. The customers today seemed to be mostly older people. The soba arrived in about 7 minutes, and I started eating. The draining of the soba was a bit too sweet, and it lacked the crisp coldness. The soba itself was quite ordinary. The dipping sauce was not cold either, but the flavor suited my taste. Overall, I felt that it could have been a bit more refined. Thank you, Soba Restaurant Ikkyu-san, for the meal.

I visited for the first time. It was crowded even though it was a weekday. I had the soba set meal. The side dishes were homely and good.

I splurged and tried the eel rice bowl set for 1300 yen. It was my first time trying it and I enjoyed it. ☺️

The soba bento and shrimp tempura were okay. However, the potato salad and cold simmered dish were not good. I will never go back again.

A while ago, I visited this restaurant but didn't post a review due to disappointment. This time, I had a hard time getting around due to the Kachimai Fireworks Festival in Obihiro city. I went through a bookstore to reach this shop. The neighboring shop, which also serves pork bowl, already had a line forming. Using the process of elimination, I entered this shop. Just like last time, I ordered the mixed soba. The broth had a nice aroma and was not too sweet or spicy. It was okay. The issue was with the soba noodles. The presentation was messy, with the noodles tangled up, making it difficult to pick up without lifting the chopsticks about 50 cm high. Normally, soba noodles should be arranged neatly in the steamer, but here they were placed haphazardly. Even though I may sound knowledgeable, I only learned about this from a manga called "Sobamon." Isn't it ironic that a novice like me noticed something that the professionals overlooked? Goodbye.

I went to Nagasaki-ya to buy fugu, and surprisingly, the items here are quite cheap. Oh, by the way, the fugu I bought was not for eating, but for viewing. The Abe Nipuffer is cute. I ordered the pork bowl set. Since I can't eat soba, I changed it to udon. The taste was okay. The thickness of the meat was just right, but it was a bit tough, maybe overcooked. My child ordered the tuna bowl. The tuna seemed to be marinated. There seemed to be less fish compared to the amount of rice. But considering it was in the 800 yen range, maybe it's reasonable. The menu. The restaurant is small. We were seated in a raised area, but the tables seem close together in the main seating area. The udon and rice bowls were just average, so I wonder if their soba is delicious! However, I have allergies so I couldn't confirm. Overall, everything was just average, nothing really stood out. Based on what I ate this time, I probably wouldn't come back.

After having some errands to run, I decided to stop by a soba restaurant called "Ikkyu" in Nagasaki-ya because I felt like eating something quick. It was past 6 pm and there was only one group of customers inside. I saw a sign at the entrance advertising a vegetable tempura rice bowl set for 750 yen (with the choice of hot or cold soba), which seemed like a good deal. However, since I was planning to go for drinks later, I decided to avoid the forbidden combination of carbs and fried food and ordered the zaru tempura soba for 750 yen. It arrived in about 8 minutes and I thought, "Here we go!" with a wry smile. I tried the soba, which was a new style for me, and the condiments included green onions, grated radish, and ginger. I read on another website that they use bonito or mackerel in the broth for a rich flavor, but my unsophisticated palate couldn't really tell. The website also mentioned that they hand-make the soba with care every morning, but I couldn't discern any particular craftsmanship in the dish. The tempura, especially the shungiku (chrysanthemum greens), was delicious. I also noticed that the three people in the kitchen were chatting while cooking, which was a bit distracting. Next time, if there is one, I might try something different. Thank you for the meal.

This is a soba restaurant located on the 4th floor of Nagasaki-ya near Obihiro Station. For lunch, they offer the "Original Salted Pork Bowl" set menu for 700 yen, where you can choose between hot and cold soba. The cold soba chosen is the bukkake soba. The salted pork bowl consists of pork cooked with leeks, which is light and flavorful. However, if you are used to teriyaki pork bowls, it may feel a bit lacking. The cold soba is served with mountain vegetables in a bukkake style. The noodles have a firm texture. The bukkake sauce was a bit salty. Overall, the half + half portion provided just the right level of satisfaction.

Nagasakiya on the 4th floor has only a few food shops, so it's quite crowded. Many people seem to be there for a quick lunch, like salarymen. I ordered the cold tempura soba (large). The dish was prepared quite quickly. The soba noodles were very thin, so they probably cook quickly. The noodles lacked a bit of chewiness, which is essential for enjoying soba. The shrimp tempura was fried well and tasted delicious, but I prefer soba with a firmer texture and more flavor. It might be good for those in a hurry, but it may not be worth going out of your way for.

When I visited Obihiro from a different place, I visited a soba restaurant inside Nagasaki-ya. Although it was not on the menu, I asked for the chicken bowl and soba set that was displayed in the glass case at the entrance. Despite there being no other customers waiting, how long did it take for the food to come out? The elderly female staff member kept chatting in the kitchen the whole time. Finally, the chicken bowl came out. The moment I saw it, I thought, "What is this? A green onion bowl?" The amount of rice was less than half of the bowl size. For the size of the bowl, having less than half the amount of rice... Where was the chicken that I ordered? Was it a chicken broth bowl? There were about 3 pieces of what seemed like sorry-looking chicken breast meat. I took a bite and was surprised by the saltiness! It was as if they had boiled down a strong soy sauce for 3 days. Everyone in my family who went together had the same opinion. The soba was supposed to be a palate cleanser, but what is this?! The soba was clumped together and stuck, as if an amateur had boiled it. At home, it wouldn't turn out like this. You have to loosen the noodles before eating, unlike even in a school cafeteria where it's not this bad! The dipping sauce also had a distinctive scent. A small soba bowl compared to the chicken bowl, yet it came with a ladle, even though it wasn't a hot pot udon, which was strange. Honestly, when it came time to pay, I didn't want to. The disappointment was undeniable. Oh, I tried my best to find something to praise. The rice. The rice was normal ☆ To the owner and employees, I'm sorry but I think you should think a little more. Since Shin-toku is close by and it's in a department store, I was expecting delicious soba, but I truly haven't had such a disappointing meal in a long time. I don't intend to write negatively, but I wanted to write down the facts.

On August 11, 2014, I visited the restaurant with my mother and uncle who came from Rikubetsu. There were no other customers when we arrived, but two more groups came later. My mother ordered the tempura rice bowl set with cold soba, my uncle ordered cold tempura, and I ordered the parent and child set. The soba was firm and the taste was average. According to my mother and uncle, they have had better soba at another restaurant nearby that is owned by a classmate's father. The soba broth looked thin so I decided not to drink it. I don't think I will be visiting this restaurant again.

I am dining at the 4th floor restaurant area of Nagasaki-ya (although there are only 4 restaurants in total, and they close around 7 pm). During lunchtime, it seems quite crowded with locals. The interior is cramped with 5 tables for 4 people, 2 tables for 2 people, and 2 sunken tables for 4 people, which gives a negative impression. The basic menu options include Mori, Kake for 550 yen, Tanuki for 580 yen, Tsukimi for 650 yen, Kashiwa for 750 yen, with each having a large size option for an additional 100 yen. The prices are standard for a soba specialty shop. There are also set menu options like Tori-don for 700 yen, Buta-don for 850 yen, Tendon for 930 yen, and Soba set meal with 2 side dishes, rice, and small soba for 800 yen. Despite the quick service after ordering, the Hōtō-style thin soba lacked firmness and flavor, which left a disappointing impression. The soba broth was also weak. Overall, I had some doubts about this restaurant compared to other high-quality soba shops in the area, and it didn't quite match my personal preferences.

The umeboshi in the plum soba is perfectly pickled at the store. It's basically cold soba, but I like to have it hot. There are various toppings included, so it feels like a good deal.
