"Sushi Mitsukawa" has its main store in Higashi Chaya District in Kanazawa. At the Roppongi Hills branch, Mitsukawa Hiroshi himself, the chef from Kanazawa, showcases his skills as the head chef. The course we had was a combination of appetizers and sushi for 19,800 yen (tax included), with smaller-sized sushi rice. The course included ingredients such as nodoguro, baigai, and saba from the Hokuriku Kanazawa region, showcasing the top-notch taste and supreme hospitality cultivated in Kanazawa. The variety and quantity of appetizers were also satisfying, making it a highly enjoyable experience. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Mitsukawa" is a restaurant located on the 5th floor of West Walk in Roppongi Hills. I visited for the first time after seeing their lunch course menu, which seemed quite reasonable. I ordered the weekday lunch course, which includes 7 pieces of sushi, a roll, and a soup. Reservations are not available for the lunch course, but you can reserve the omakase option. The sushi was served one piece at a time on a beautiful plate. The sea bass sushi was a great start, followed by a refreshing squid sushi with salt and vinegar. The sweet shrimp sushi had a light vinegar flavor, while the simmered shrimp had a rich taste. The yellowtail and amberjack were also delicious, with a unique presentation of a rice bowl with bonito and amberjack. The quail egg sushi was a delightful surprise, and the hand-rolled eel sushi was a perfect combination of textures. Overall, Mitsukawa offers high-quality sushi sourced from Kanazawa and Hokkaido, making it a must-visit for sushi lovers.

I visited the Roppongi branch of "Sushi Mitsugawa," which has its main store in Kanazawa, in hopes of discovering sushi restaurants in Kanazawa. It is located on the 5th floor of the West Tower in Roppongi Hills. The initial setting reminds me of patrolling the jurisdiction ( •̀ω•́ )✧. The red seabream had a crunchy texture with a good chew, but lacked in flavor. The sushi rice had a slightly salty and refreshing taste, with a hint of sweetness. The size of the rice was just right, which was confirmed by the chef, a thoughtful gesture that I appreciated. The squid was sandwiched between seaweed, and was surprisingly delicious. The sweet shrimp was tender and not overly sweet, with a hint of yuzu flavor. The abalone was seasoned with salt, which was a first for me to try as sushi, and it was quite tasty. I also tried the dried and soy sauce grilled scallop as a side dish, which was not too salty and had a nice sesame flavor. The seared mackerel had a strong saltiness but melted in the mouth. The medium fatty tuna was tender and had a slightly unique aftertaste. The horse mackerel was incredibly delicious, and the sea urchin was of high quality but unfortunately, the saltiness of the rice overpowered its sweetness. The chawanmushi was soft and lightly seasoned, which I enjoyed. The young sardine was refreshing with the large shiso leaf, but the saltiness of the rice lingered. The lean tuna marinated in soy sauce was sweet and sticky, while the salted eel with cucumber had a delicate sweetness. The miso soup with seaweed and tofu was subtly flavored, highlighting the taste of the tofu. Lastly, I had an eel and cucumber hand roll, which was elegantly sweet and served as a perfect ending to the meal. Overall, the sushi was light and delicious, and I believe the lunch set is a great deal. The restaurant also provided a refill of cold tea without extra charge, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was enjoyable, although I couldn't help but feel it was a shame to have my back facing the Hyatt's atrium and water wall at the counter. Nevertheless, I could still enjoy the sound of the waterfall.

Kanazawa Higashi Chaya-gai Sushi Tokyo branch has 3 counter seats and 2 second-floor seats. According to their Instagram, the head chef seems to be in the Niseko branch today. As a result, even with same-day reservations on a Monday, there is plenty of space at the counter. The appetizers include high-quality ikura, olive oil, and Chinese-flavored dishes, showing ambition. The sushi rice is on the thinner side. The shari (sushi rice) is quite small, so it is recommended to request larger pieces.

I went for a dinner as part of social obligations. It was with someone I am very grateful to, so I didn't choose the restaurant myself. I prefer sushi with more unique characteristics. There are delicious sushi restaurants in Kanazawa that I like, but this one is not bad. I wouldn't go there on my own.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt and did not have a dinner reservation, but suddenly felt like eating sushi. They kindly accommodated me even though there was no reservation. I quickly enjoyed the meal and was satisfied. Order: Lunch nigiri (flatfish, squid, sweet shrimp, squid legs with olive oil, bonito, seared scallop, fatty tuna, kanpachi, horse mackerel, chawanmushi, seared mackerel, conger eel, sea urchin, miso soup, eel and cucumber roll. Additional: quail eggs x2, hot sake x1. Taste: Overall clean and simple. Honest and conscientious. The sushi rice is well-seasoned with vinegar, salt, and toppings are varied enough to keep you interested. The portion size is more than enough even after subtracting the beer and sake. The addition of seared and aromatic toppings adds a nice touch and keeps things interesting. The quality and quantity for 7000 yen is considered a great value. Special mention: the added "quail eggs" which were a unique twist with a soft, sweet, dessert-like texture. There is also a lunch course available for 2750 yen tax included, which seems to be a satisfying amount for women. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

I visited "Sushi Mitsukawa" in Roppongi Hills. The main branch is located in Kanazawa, a famous sushi restaurant. People from all over the country visit to taste the chef's sushi. Today, I left it to the chef's choice. The appetizers, sushi, and hand rolls were all exquisite. Each dish showed a high level of elegance. The lunch here is famous for being great value, but it's usually hard to get a seat. I came for dinner and was able to sit down easily. As a drinker, I appreciate that half of the bill goes towards drinks, and this place offers beer, highballs, and sake at relatively low prices. The sushi here doesn't use my favorite red vinegar, but the quality of the fish and the balance with the rice are just right. The service is prompt and I don't have to wait long for the next piece of sushi to arrive. This place is not like other restaurants where you wonder when the next piece will come out. It's a comfortable dining experience for everyone.

I didn't actually know that a sushi restaurant from Kanazawa had come to Tokyo. And it's in Roppongi Hills. They are making great use of Kanazawa's ingredients. It's a shame that they are not well known due to the impact of COVID-19. They should be more widely recognized.

I was invited and went. Thank you for the meal. It's a sushi restaurant in Kanazawa. Kanazawa has really delicious restaurants, so I often go, but I didn't know about this one. The fish in Hokuriku is very delicious. I like Hokuriku sushi the most, even more than Hokkaido or Fukuoka sushi.

I visited a sushi restaurant in Roppongi Hills. I usually write reviews for about 2,000 places, but this was my first time trying a high-end sushi restaurant. To be honest, I don't have a clear criteria for evaluation, but I can say that the atmosphere was calm and the food was delicious, worth the price. The only thing I can evaluate is that they had a good selection of Japanese sake from Ishikawa and Hokuriku regions. However, compared to French restaurants or sake-focused establishments that seriously consider the pairing of food and alcohol, I felt that the Japanese cuisine restaurant was lacking in that aspect. This is just a basic evaluation for now, but it will serve as a reference point for my future visits to similar restaurants.

The taste of famous Kanazawa restaurants can be enjoyed in Tokyo. It's a good deal when you consider the cost of the shinkansen. However, it depends on Mr. Mitsukawa's schedule. The dishes are unique to Kanazawa or not commonly found in Tokyo. You can enjoy dishes starting from grilled yellowtail to hand-rolled nodoguro sushi. I recommend the course with appetizers included. I forgot to take pictures of some dishes (laughs).

Mitsugawa, a famous sushi restaurant from Kanazawa, has a Tokyo branch located on the 5th floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower West Walk. The head chef often visits the Roppongi Hills branch as well. I visited for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant has counter seats with large glass windows and private rooms. The weekday lunch special is priced at 2500 yen (excluding tax), which is quite reasonable for Roppongi Hills. The service is attentive, with each piece of sushi made at a pace that suits you. I also had Kagabocha for 400 yen (excluding tax). The tea was well chilled, and they promptly refilled the glass when it was almost empty. As for the sushi... Soy sauce is provided in a small dish, but all the sushi is already seasoned, so you can eat it as is. The sea bream... The slightly sweet soy sauce complements the slightly sticky sea bream well. The rice is cooked just right, with each grain distinct in the mouth. The vinegar is gentle. The firefly squid... This squid also had a sweet taste. Sweet shrimp... The sweet shrimp had a smooth texture that melted in the mouth. The balance with the rice was excellent. Bonito tataki... It lacked fat but had no unpleasant smell and was refreshing. Flounder marinated in kelp... The flounder had a strong kelp flavor. It was very delicious. Tuna with salmon roe on top... A small dish with rice, marinated tuna, and salmon roe on top. When eaten together, the flavor of wasabi and the rich marinated tuna blend together for a satisfying dish. Seaweed miso soup... It was average. Chickpea... A unique dish from this restaurant. Boiled egg yolk and shrimp are combined and stuffed into the white part of the egg. The sweetly cooked shrimp and egg flavor complement each other well. Rolled sushi... Rolled sushi with marinated tuna. The fatty tuna was delicious. The seaweed could have been a bit better. Additional eel... Since it's the season for fatty eel, they provided two options, with sauce and salt. The eel had a melting texture, and its deliciousness was apparent. The sauce was rich and punchy. Tuna red meat... They let it sit for a while after cutting it to bring out the umami before making it. The total cost for my preferences was 4840 yen, including tax. It was a short but refreshing lunch with delicious sushi and warm service. Thank you for the meal.

Mitsukawa, a popular sushi restaurant from Kanazawa, has opened a branch in Roppongi Hills. The head chef Mitsukawa himself is the main attraction here. The location is excellent, allowing you to enjoy sushi from the Japan Sea side while in Tokyo. With his background from Kyubei, Mitsukawa stays true to the basics but also incorporates Japan Sea ingredients throughout the menu. His entertaining style of sushi-making is truly impressive. Mitsukawa knows how to keep the conversation flowing and his business sense is evident throughout. I visited for dinner this time, but I also highly recommend trying their lunch menu. Both are equally fantastic!

Anyway, this sushi restaurant serves delicious food no matter what you order! The service is attentive and the atmosphere is amazing. However, because it was a business dinner, I was so engrossed in conversation that I didn't really listen to the chef. The balance between sushi and side dishes is perfect. The Tokyo branch of "Sushi Mitsugawa," with its main store in Kanazawa, is located on the 5th floor of Roppongi Hills West Walk. Situated next to the famous "Torioaka" in the Premium Dining Floor where many renowned restaurants are located, the restaurant offers only course menus. I visited without a reservation around 11:30 on a Sunday after watching a movie at Roppongi Hills. Due to the current situation, the restaurant was quite empty. They offer two options: "nigiri" or the "omakase" which includes appetizers. I chose the "nigiri" (7000 yen) which included a variety of sushi such as sea bream, squid, sweet shrimp, seared Spanish mackerel, baby sardines, fatty tuna, salmon roe, grilled blackthroat seaperch, eel, sea urchin, and hand rolls with snow crab. In between, they served boiled squid with olive oil and chawanmushi. The sweet shrimp was a bit disappointing, but overall, the sushi was delicious. The atmosphere and service were also satisfying, and the fact that there was no service charge was very reasonable. Considering the location in Roppongi Hills, the price was quite affordable. I think it's a great place to enjoy sushi casually.

Today's lunch was at "Sushi Mitsukawa" in Roppongi Hills, a place I haven't visited in a while. It was my first time having lunch there and it was a great experience. Despite the current state of emergency, I managed to visit the restaurant just in time for lunch after visiting a hair salon in Hills. The chef personally prepared the sushi for me, and I truly appreciated the deliciousness of each bite. Since I had work afterwards and couldn't drink alcohol, I enjoyed my meal with oolong tea and green tea. The "Kinmedai" was particularly delicious with its rich flavor. It had been a while since I had "Namako" (sea cucumber) and it was a pleasant surprise. The "Yari Ika", "Hakkaku", and "Gasaeby" were also very tasty. The sushi was perfectly balanced with fluffy rice and sweet toppings. Everything was delicious. I look forward to visiting again at night to enjoy a more leisurely meal. I must also visit their main branch in Kanazawa and Niseko soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I started the New Year of Reiwa 3 with lunch at Sushi Mitsukawa in Roppongi Hills. The owner was not present. The main store is located in Higashi Chaya District in Kanazawa, in a lovely renovated machiya. I used to visit the previous location in Katamachi quite often. Upon entering, I informed them of my reservation and was led to a counter seat in an L-shaped layout. The high ceiling gave a luxurious feel to the place. Each group of customers at the counter seats was separated by acrylic boards. First, we sanitized our hands. I had made a reservation for a sushi course using Pocket Concierge, but I was shown the menu. There were options for a sushi course and an omakase course starting with appetizers, as they also offer dinner courses. I stuck to my plan and ordered the sushi course. For drinks, I requested a non-alcoholic beer, Kirin Zero One. The sushi included seared tilefish, baby squid, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, and small dried fish in gunkan-maki style. The tuna belly had some sinew left. The horse mackerel was seared and served with scallops and conger eel in salt and yuzu miso soup. The hand-rolled sushi was eel and cucumber. That was all for now, as I planned to have sushi for dinner as well. Since it was over a month ago, I will only record the dishes. Thank you for the meal.
