【Overall evaluation】We ordered a lot, and the bill was around 12,000 yen for two people. The clear billing system made us feel at ease while eating. Some customers who arrived before us seemed quite frustrated as it took a considerable amount of time from entering to receiving their orders. It appeared that the sushi chefs were not rotating efficiently and there was a lack of coordination between the kitchen and the hall staff. If you don't mind the wait, it's worth a visit!! That's what we thought.

Today I arrived earlier than expected (usually I line up before the store opens without a reservation) and was able to get my reservation ticket as the first customer, not knowing that ticketing starts at 4:30 PM. While waiting, I passed the time at a nearby Mos Burger. My love for Midori Sushi is strong as always... but I always end up ordering the same thing. Despite being on a diet, I couldn't resist looking forward to the winter season's shirako (milt) today, which is my cheat day. So, I decided to skip the seared 5-piece assortment and went for the salted lemon instead. It's delicious with lots of mayo, but... I opted for the salted lemon this time.

On regular days, you can make a reservation for a seat even without ordering a course, so you can easily enter without waiting in the long line. The 2900 yen set is a great deal, but you can also add extras like shellfish, large salmon roe, and red rolls (salmon roe and flying fish roe), and even the 50 yen live octopus suction cup battleship and the 200 yen huge clam miso soup offer incredible value for money.

I arrived at the restaurant at 10:55 on Thursday and found a line of over 30 people outside. It's the main store, so it's really popular! After checking in, I was number 27 in line. I waited for about 2 hours until I was able to enter the restaurant at around 12:40. The food was delicious overall, but the sea urchin had a strong smell and bitter taste. It was a bit disappointing.

The taste and cost performance are excellent. However, it takes too long for the food to come out. I reserved the course starting at 17:00, but the first sushi didn't arrive until 17:26, which was quite a long wait. I got a bit tired of waiting. Realizing it takes time, I ordered additional sushi at 17:45 while eating. However, it still didn't come out by 18:30. When I asked the staff if it was a mistake in the order or because they were busy, they replied, "Because we're busy." I don't know if it's true or not, but it's frustrating even if you have patience and time to spare.

Moving to Umegaoka was such a lucky decision because one of the best things is being able to go to Midorizushi anytime. It's a luxury to be able to eat delicious sushi to your heart's content whenever you feel like it (even if you have to wait in line). I always order their seared sushi assortment, which I love. This, along with appetizers and main sushi dishes, satisfies our big appetites. After a few drinks and finishing a belly full of food, the bill comes out to around 10,000 yen, which is truly impressive. I'll definitely be back!

I first visited Medori Sushi main store in 2017, when they still had all-you-can-eat options. I believe it was a women's party plan for 4,500 yen per person! The sushi toppings were all large and very delicious. I hope they will offer all-you-can-eat again in the future.

When it comes to Medori Sushi, a sushi restaurant with multiple locations in downtown areas like Ginza and Shibuya, I finally visited their main store. I ordered the new set menu "Hanamedori" which included: medium fatty tuna, red snapper with ponzu jelly, large red shrimp, negitoro with quail egg, salmon roe, grilled squid with sea urchin, seared scallop, mackerel with yuzu, extra-large tuna belly with pickled radish, raw salmon with yuzu grated radish and clam, and conger eel. In addition, I added a crab miso salad, seasonal side dish, tamago oboro sandwich, and red miso soup. The set was full of fresh and delicious ingredients, including their famous conger eel, and my favorite crab miso salad. It was a great value for the quality and quantity of food. A wonderful restaurant to enjoy a satisfying meal.

I visited Umegaoka Mitosushi. I went there with a friend who lives in Tokyo, and we got our ticket and entered the restaurant around 5:20 pm. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with local customers dining alone. The sushi was fresh and surprisingly affordable. My favorites were the blue fish and shellfish. The Kohada was particularly delicious with the perfect balance of vinegared rice. It was so delicious.

[Comment] It's been about 20 days since my last visit. I came at a different time this time, so the wait wasn't too long (still had to wait a bit though) to get in. Prices seem to have changed a bit due to recent price increases. I went with my usual favorites. Lately, I've been really into the tuna and fresh salmon. They are absolutely delicious. Enjoyed them with a beer. This style is just how I like it. Thank you for the meal.

After a long time, I decided to go and tried to make a reservation online two days ago, but it was already fully booked until five days later. Since I don't have many opportunities to go, I decided to go on the day and arrived 10 minutes before the opening at 5 pm. Surprisingly, there were already 16 groups waiting. As expected of Midori Sushi. Still, I decided to wait and waited for 2 hours! Finally, I was called at 7 pm. I was seated at a table and ordered the menu and drinks I had decided on. We ordered the seasonal chef's choice sushi set (3600 yen), premium sushi set (2400 yen), and a few side dishes. It tasted even better than usual after the wait. All the toppings were fresh, especially the medium fatty tuna, sea urchin, scallop, and boiled fish paste were delicious. We drank and ate to our hearts' content with three people, and it cost around 13,000 yen. Next time, I will definitely make a reservation before going.

Wednesday at 10:30, I arrived at the restaurant and used the reception machine outside to get a number. I was number 16. At 11:00, the staff started calling reservations first (4 groups), and then they called the same-day walk-ins. Unfortunately, I wasn't called in the first round of walk-ins, as they usually call up to around number 12-13. The notice mentioned a price increase starting from May 1, 2023, even though it was a weekday, the area in front of the restaurant was crowded with people. I finally got seated at 12:00, after waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The menu had to be decided upon, which took more time. I wish they would show the menu while waiting! The weekday special "Yawaragi Lunch" for 2090 yen (including salad, chawanmushi, and dessert) seemed like a good deal! The sushi pieces were large, and the rice was slightly on the larger side. The wasabi flavor was barely noticeable. The "Original! Oyassan's Chutoro Tekkamaki" for 1320 yen was smaller than expected but a luxurious treat. The "Original Anago (one piece)" for 693 yen was delicious with no fishy smell, and the eel was long and large. The uni for 440 yen and boiled shrimp for 110 yen were also good. The staff seemed busy, and it was hard to eat calmly. They didn't come when I pressed the call button, and the dessert took a long time to arrive. Despite the delicious sushi, the service aspect was lacking. There were separate male and female toilets and one unisex toilet. My first visit was in 2016 for the all-you-can-eat option. The second visit was on December 29, 2017. The third visit was on April 19, 2023, after 6 years. The restaurant remains popular and accepts credit cards.

Order: Chef's choice variety
[Comment] It's been about 13 days since my last visit. Lately, I've been coming here more often. It's just so delicious and reasonably priced. The charm of this place never fades. So, for lunch, I went with the usual chef's choice variety. This time, I added a twist with some grilled green onion skewers and other grilled items. The sushi, made by the usual starting lineup, was as reliable as ever (though the salmon portion was a bit lacking). The green onion skewers were piping hot and surprisingly delicious. Being a sushi restaurant, it's always exciting to encounter something new based on the seasons or Japanese traditions. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a sushi restaurant in Setagaya Dai-ta for the first time, hopping over from the first place where I felt a bit unsatisfied with the sushi. When I arrived at the main store that I was curious about, it was almost full. There was a lively atmosphere with families, young and old, men and women. I enjoyed the negi and tuna negima skewers, as well as various sushi pieces while sipping on a slightly sweet matcha cocktail. The sushi pieces were large and the rice portion was just right, which was nice. My friend bought a tuna roll as a souvenir, and I regretted not getting a takeout as well. If I have the chance, I would like to visit properly from the first place next time. Thank you for the meal!

I've been curious about this place for a while, and I finally had the chance to line up today. I arrived at around 4:00 PM on a Saturday and waited for about 10 minutes before entering. I had the seasonal chef's choice sushi for 3,300 yen and ordered an extra serving of blackthroat seaperch with oolong tea for 4,895 yen. I was very satisfied with the high cost performance. When I left around 5:00 PM, there were already many people waiting.

A well-known restaurant that needs no introduction. I was able to make a reservation and when I visited, there was a long line outside. However, the inside of the restaurant was surprisingly calm and the service was not slow at all. There was nothing particularly outstanding, but the sushi was consistently good, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. I wish they had a few more options for sake.

There are cheap and expensive sushi restaurants, but I think the best tasting sushi can be found at Midori Sushi. I waited for about 40 minutes to get in, but it was worth it. The limited edition medium fatty tuna roll I had today was especially amazing.

I came to Sushi Midori Main Store! As the name suggests, Ume Gaoka is famous for its plums! I came during the plum festival, so when in Ume Gaoka, I had to come here! It's about a 2-minute walk from Ume Gaoka Station, so the location is very convenient! I got a paper from the waiting machine and was surprised to see that there were 30 groups ahead of me! Even though it was Sunday at 3 pm, the popularity was amazing! After wandering around nearby for about an hour and a half, my turn finally came! The store has 3 floors, with counter seats and table seats. While counter seats are usually preferred at sushi restaurants, this time I opted for a relaxed table seat. I enjoyed a variety of sushi like chu-toro, iwashi, fresh shirasu, ikura, uni, engawa, anago... The sushi was big in both size and portion, fresh, and incredibly delicious! Truly worthy of the reputation of Midori! With a green tea cocktail and two cups of sake, the bill was less than 10,000 yen... Amazing cost performance! Recently, it has become more convenient to make reservations online! Personally, the shop in Futakotamagawa is much closer to me, but the main store also has a lively atmosphere that is great!

I waited for 2 and a half hours! The recommended sushi restaurant by a senior at work, Sushi Midori, finally made it! I arrived around 4 pm on Saturday and there was a long line outside! I got a ticket from the machine and found out I was 28th in line. Seriously?! I decided to wait anyway and finally got in after 2 and a half hours! The sushi had good value for money and tasted delicious, but waiting for over 2 hours was tough! By the way, the chef's choice sushi set cost 3,300 yen. It's no wonder it's so popular. If you really want to go, it's better to make a reservation. Thank you for the meal.
