The homemade coffee shochu has a fragrant aroma and a deep flavor. When mixed with milk, it has a mild taste that could make you feel like you're in an endless loop. The daily cakes are also addictive. The acidity and sweetness of the pear tart are unique. The atmosphere at the counter where regular customers gather also tells the story of the restaurant. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The retro exterior is not the only thing retro about this place. The elevator with a push button that pops out is still in operation. This classical shop is located in a room of a Showa era apartment. I pressed the doorbell before entering the shop, and the handsome shop owner greeted me with a smile. He led me to a table where a movie was playing. I ordered a homemade coffee shochu milk cocktail and a pistachio Basque cheesecake. The daily cake selection was displayed on a blackboard. The recommended natural wines were also charmingly displayed. After drinking a lot, the cake I ate really hit the spot. The pistachio cake was moist and packed with flavor, while the nut tart had a great texture and aroma. The homemade coffee shochu paired perfectly with the cakes. The retro classical coffee milk, with a hint of bitterness, was smooth and satisfying. Vintage clothes and miscellaneous items were also on display for sale. It's a cozy place for solo diners as well. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

4th time using my friend's favorite bar. Coffee shochu and Earl Grey liqueur cocktail. I have a note saying "Adult sweet Ramune" but I don't really understand what "not sweet Ramune" would taste like. It's not that it tastes like Ramune, I think. I can't remember anymore. Pistachio basque cheesecake. I think this place is more suited for people with a variety of hobbies or those who are passionate about one hobby, rather than someone like me who lacks individuality.

I went to a restaurant that my friend recommended. The door had a welcoming feel to it. Inside, a silent movie was playing with jazz as background music. I sat on a soft sofa and ordered quail smoked rice and a gin and tonic. The seasoned mixed rice was delicious, with a hint of spiciness that I liked. The gin and tonic was cheap but came in a generous portion. I also tried a hot Kahlua milk after the meal, which was amazing. It was my first time trying warm Kahlua milk, and it made me feel warm and happy. My friend had hot wine, which I tried, and even though I usually don't like wine, this one had a gentle taste that I could enjoy. Overall, I recommend this place for a nice time with good company.

Farewell party second round. This is a restaurant that Hime had been eyeing for a while. As a regular at the ramen shop below, I was a bit nervous when I opened the door to the fancy space, thinking it might be too upscale. But the staff's smiles welcomed me. It's a calm place to drink, and the staff, though young, are refreshing. They have party plans for large groups, or you can sit alone at the counter. Today, we had the 2-hour all-you-can-drink plan with a smoked dish assortment for 3,000 yen. The smoked dish assortment was great! I had never tried smoked potato salad before, and it was delicious. I definitely want to come back here again. Thank you for the meal. By the way, Hime said she will come back with me in four days! Haha, I got drunk even though Hime couldn't drink that day!

The master's personality is wonderful. A bar where students and adults gather day and night. I recommend it to those who can't find their regular spot. The drinks are great, and the homemade smoked dishes are delicious too! My go-to is the smoked potato salad with a suitable drink.

Welcome.---------- July 2018 ----------Located at 7-2 South West, this ramen shop has a unique atmosphere, almost like a hidden gem in a mansion. They've turned one room into a gallery cafe called Oshanti, which feels like you've stepped into a different country. The interior alone could be considered a gallery, with a lot of attention to detail. The counter is manned by a friendly master and regular customers. They serve a lot of smoked dishes here, like the black mojito which has a unique color. We tried the smoked platter which included "adult potato salad, nuts, quail, oysters, cheese" - all of which were thoroughly smoked and flavorful. The potato salad transforms into something for adults when smoked. The oysters were fresh and oily, and everyone loves cheese, right? It's nice to be able to enjoy the atmosphere while savoring the dishes. The counter is cozy and the sofas are so comfortable you could fall asleep. With the welcoming environment and the master's personality, you'll find yourself staying longer than expected. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located on the 5th floor of the Toyomizu Building, just a little outside of the bustling Susukino entertainment district, this bar has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It may seem like a hidden gem, but it's actually a great place to hang out with friends and have a good time. The bar is also suitable for solo visitors.
I visited this bar again in December 2011 and noticed that the layout had changed a bit, but the warm ambiance remained the same. The bar can get quite busy even on weekdays, making it a popular spot for second or third rounds of drinks. The location may seem a bit desolate, but it's actually in an area with unique and interesting shops.
To enter the bar, you have to navigate through the somewhat lonely building and take the old elevator to the 5th floor. Once inside, you'll find a cozy and inviting space with a hint of nostalgia. The friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to unwind after a long day.
Overall, this bar is a hidden gem worth visiting for a casual drink or a fun night out with friends. I look forward to returning in the future.

It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Susukino subway station. Turn at the intersection of Jasmac Plaza Hotel, cross the bridge over the river, and when you pass the eel restaurant, you'll see a small sign on the sidewalk. The entrance looks like a regular apartment building. When you open the door with a click, you'll find a cozy BAR with a cafe-like seating arrangement. There's no cover charge, and I usually go alone, ordering a small dish and two drinks for about 2000 yen. I like to go early on weekends to enjoy a quiet drink and chat with the friendly bartender. The atmosphere is relaxed with counter, sofa, and table seating, making it feel like visiting a friend's house. It's casual, not pretentiously trendy, so you can relax and unwind.
