During my trip to Hakodate, I visited this restaurant on the first night for dinner. Of course, I had to try their Genghis Khan (grilled mutton) dish. The restaurant had a surprisingly beautiful interior and I was seated at the counter. I ordered the standard course and it was delicious. The vegetables were also tasty, and it was the perfect combination with a Sapporo Classic beer. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I was wandering around near the main gate when I started to feel thirsty. I was craving beer, and of course, the perfect companion for that is Genghis Khan BBQ! The restaurant staff grilled the meat for us, and it was a luxurious dining experience. The lamb and deer were incredibly delicious. I recommend trying the raw lamb cooked medium rare - it was so tender and tasty! Enjoy it with their homemade sauce, wasabi, and salt. I also ordered some marinated lamb, which had a slightly gamey flavor but was still delicious. The chunks were juicy and crispy, making for a fantastic Genghis Khan experience!

The restaurant Manoa Lab, operated by Manoa in Hiroo, Tokyo, sources directly from their own game workshop, so the unfrozen lamb meat has no gaminess and is delicious. You can also try Ezo deer and sometimes other game (like bear). The vegetables are fresh from a neighboring town, and the turnips were particularly tasty. The restaurant is small but the young staff provides attentive service, making for a enjoyable and delicious experience.
