The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively, with customers shouting out their orders for ikura on rice bowls. The homemade ikura soy sauce topping had a well-balanced flavor. The rice was a bit on the firm side, and it seemed like it overpowered the dish a bit. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This time it was all about seafood♪ We visited "Kaime Hachikyo Bettei Anego". We couldn't get a reservation at the main store of Hachikyo, so we went to the annex. We had the 5,000 yen course with a few people, and each dish was just luxurious☆**★~# The seafood was fresh, starting with the Shiretoko salad with salmon flakes, followed by the delicious squid shiokara served with Hokkaido-style potatoes, and then a seafood assortment with crab, zangi, half-grilled mackerel, and other delicious Hokkaido specialties kept coming one after another! (❁´ω`❁) ~♡ The highlight was the ikura tsukko meshi served at the end, a specialty where the staff keeps adding ikura until you say stop, with dynamic and fun interaction♪ The staff were lively and friendly, the food was luxurious and delicious, and the overall experience was just fantastic! (❁´ω`❁) ~♡ Plus, they didn't have the glass replacement system or rush you out at closing time like some izakayas, which was nice♬ The drinks included local specialties like Yubari melon sour, which added to the fun♪ It was a wonderful memory for our trip! Many thanks to the person who made the reservation for us☆ I would love to visit again next time and take my time to enjoy the experience.

I visited a branch of a restaurant I had been to a long time ago on a business trip to Hokkaido, this time with my family. We ordered a course menu this time. It started with a stylish appetizer, followed by sashimi, buttered potatoes, grilled Atka mackerel, and butter-grilled scallops, all of which were delicious and generously portioned! We saved some room to reach the final main dish, the coveted tsukkomi rice. The salmon roe was served with a spirited call and it was incredibly delicious. We enjoyed it very much.

On the first night in Hokkaido, we visited this restaurant as our second stop. We initially tried to go to the main branch but it was full, so we were directed here and managed to make a reservation! Since it was our second stop, we ordered modestly, but finally got to try the saltwater sea urchin and ikura max rice. The performance of putting the ikura on top was a great experience that made me feel like I was really in Hokkaido! The restaurant is a bit small and the entrance is a little hard to find, but the food was delicious and it's a place I would definitely want to visit again!

After enjoying some delicious Genghis Khan, the tsukko meshi (rice with pickled vegetables) was still tasty. The appetizers were cute, which was a nice touch after the Genghis Khan meal. The butter corn, tako vinegar, and hokke fish were all good. Overall, there were no disappointments. The tsukko meshi was just the right size for four adults to share after a meal. Today's dinner was at the famous seafood izakaya "Kaimi Hachikyo Bettei Anego" in Susukino. I couldn't get a reservation at the main store, but I managed to book a table at Anego through the internet. The entrance is small, leading up to the 2nd floor where you give your name and number of guests to be seated by the staff. The restaurant has 12 tables for 2 people each, which can be customized for larger groups. We ordered the Maru Toki course for 4000 yen, which included various dishes such as today's appetizer, Shiretoko salad, salted salmon roe with grated radish, assorted sashimi, dried Atka mackerel, daily special dish, tempura of the day, Hachikyo's original salmon roe rice bowl, miso soup, and sherbet. We started with drinks, but the highball was very weak in whiskey flavor, almost like water. The appetizer included salmon roe with grated radish and a cute Hokkaido-shaped seaweed with a refreshing salad dressing. The salted salmon roe with butter on potatoes was a delicious combination. The sashimi was fresh and included salmon, flounder, herring, scallop, tuna, and button shrimp. The dried Atka mackerel was small but tasty and crispy. The minced hokke cutlet was a first for me, and it was delicious with tartar sauce. The scallop butter grilled dish was small but satisfying. The mini-sized salmon roe rice bowl was a cute version of their famous dish. The miso soup was just the right size for women. We finished with sherbet for a refreshing end to the meal. I recommend trying their course menu with a variety of dishes, but you can also order individual dishes and add more as you like. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience at Anego.

Invited by company staff for my first visit. Seems to be a popular spot not only for tourists but also for locals! Personally, the buttered potatoes were the best. The energetic "Eisaa!" chant during the ikura donburi was so lively that I couldn't help but join in. The drink service was quick and it was a very pleasant time!

Hachikyo is famous for their tsukko meshi (salmon roe rice bowl)! Many tourists, including myself, visited the restaurant to try this specialty dish. I also had it as my final meal. The salmon roe was plump and the seasoning was perfect for the rice, making it very delicious. The shirako (milt) and salmon belly were also very tasty. It's a bit disappointing that they have a time limit, but I would like to visit again next time. Thank you for the meal.

The entrance of the restaurant is designed to look like a hidden gem, but it just feels like a messy back door. The seats are extremely cramped and close together. The sashimi platter had salmon that tasted fishy, herring full of small bones, tuna that was watery and tough, and shrimp that was far from fresh. The flounder was okay. The service was incredibly slow. They would clear plates and loudly dump leftovers in the trash where customers could see. It would be better if they did it quietly in a hidden area. The only good thing was being able to see the sea urchin bowl being prepared. It was okay for a tourist experience, but I wouldn't want to come back.

I came to Susukino after a long time and visited a recommended restaurant by an acquaintance. There are many different stores here, but I found a great place on Tabelog. I arrived around 17:00, but it was fully booked until 18:15, so I had to wait for 60 minutes. I started with a hot sake called "Ooyuki" and ordered recommended dishes like flounder, sea urchin, and a wasabi potato salad that looked delicious online. The appetizer was cute with kelp shaped like Hokkaido. The salmon roe was delicious as expected. The flounder and sea urchin were also a taste of Hokkaido that I haven't had in a while. They paired perfectly with the hot sake. The wasabi potato salad was crispy and crunchy with added bonito flakes. The texture was great! When the hot sake ran out, I switched to the cold sake "Ooyuki" and ordered some octopus sashimi. The octopus was fresh and chewy. Before the last order, I switched to cold sake and ordered the zangi. Everything I tried was delicious, but the best was the Nanban sauce! It made everything taste amazing, even the flounder sashimi. I wanted to take some home. When it came time to pay, I realized I forgot to order the "Tsukkome rice" that was recommended at Hachikyo. I'll make sure to try it next time. The restaurant is non-smoking, but some Hachikyo locations allow smoking, so be careful. There are dedicated bag holders. A young woman dining alone ordered a delicious course, so it seems like a good place for a girls' night out. The entrance is a bit hard to find, almost like a test of courage, but don't worry and head upstairs. The staff were helpful in explaining the dishes. Thank you for the delicious sake and food. I will definitely come back.

I had the classic ikura donburi. The staff shouted as they piled on the ikura. At first, I thought I could handle more, but too much ikura can be tiring, so this amount was just right. There was no special excitement, but I was satisfied enough to not want ikura for a while. Laugh

I wanted to eat a lot of salmon roe, so I went to Anego-tei for the first time in a while - it was the weekend and I couldn't get a reservation at the main store! I went through the low and small door, climbed up the stairs, and finally reached my seat. The place I was led to was just for seating. Many people come here just to eat tsukko-meshi, and the lively atmosphere never ends - the staff are also shouting. First, we had the appetizer. The kombu was cute in the shape of Hokkaido♡ Then, we ordered. We got half and half of Pacific saury sashimi and grilled Okhotsk atka mackerel with salt. It was reliably delicious. Finally, my long-awaited tsukko-meshi! I couldn't stop before it overflowed, so I ate a lot! The staff's cheers also added to the excitement, and it was finished - the salmon roe was large, not trout, haha. I enjoyed the salmon roe and was very satisfied.

Popular izakaya in Susukino with several sister stores, all known for their performances with ikura. The seating is cramped with very little space between tables, making it not very comfortable. The specialty here is the ikura performance, where they will keep pouring until you say stop. However, this time we didn't order ikura and instead got scallop skewers, saltwater sea urchin, corn, and fried potatoes. The taste was average, but considering the price, the value for money wasn't great. If you're not interested in the ikura performance, I wouldn't recommend it.

When I went to the main store without a reservation, I was guided to this place. The menu is the same as the main store. In short, everything was delicious and very Hokkaido-like. The corn was sweet and didn't taste like a vegetable at all, even the potato fries were different from the ones you'd find at a typical izakaya. The herring sashimi is something you don't often see in Tokyo, and it was very delicious. Also, the tsukko-meshi is a must-try. The lively call of "Yoisyo!" when they put the salmon roe on top is entertaining. It was gone in no time. If I'm in Susukino, I would definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Sapporo Susukino has a lot of foot traffic and has completely regained the bustling atmosphere from before the pandemic. If you go to the main store at 6 PM without a reservation, you may have to wait until close to 9 PM or go to a nearby branch. Despite this, they were quick to make a reservation for us, which we appreciated. The sashimi assortment, ikura, and shrimp seafood were all incredibly delicious. If you want to fully enjoy Hokkaido, be sure to try their zangi, buttered corn, and fried potatoes. The specialty ikura donburi is a must-try, as they prepare it with a performance right in front of you, making it perfect for tourists.
