When I was full but still wanted to drink a little more, I happened to pass by Tanuki COMISHI and saw a poster for a "Sake and Delicious Food Tasting Campaign." Each store had a limited-time set with local sake and snacks to compare and enjoy. I chose the "Goho Special Junmai Suisei" with Hakodate squid for 1000 yen. The staff generously poured the Japanese sake for me. It was a new sake from the "Hakodate Brewing" sake brewery in Shichinohe Town, which was born for the first time in 35 years. The sake had a slightly fruity flavor and a sharp taste, which I really enjoyed. The pairing with the squid snack was perfect! The regular menu also offers "Goho Special Junmai Suisei Suisei" for 750 yen and Hakodate squid for 500 yen. This is a great place for a coffee break or a casual drink.

I'm happy that Tokiya Coffee Shop in Hakodate has opened in Tanuki Koji. Tanuki COMICHI has many bars and restaurants, so it's nice to take a break while enjoying delicious coffee. They also offer Japanese sweets like oshiruko and baked sweet potatoes, which I think would be popular with foreign tourists. For more details, click here: Hokkaido gourmet gathering "Tanuki COMICHI" for drinking parties! Lunch at El Paso.

I was drinking at Tanuki COMICHI. I was quite tipsy from the alcohol, so I stopped by before going home. I ordered a cafe latte. I don't think it was because I was drunk, but it wasn't just my imagination - it was a bit lukewarm. I wish it had a little more coffee flavor. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain holiday, I stumbled upon a coffee shop in a building where I had lunch, which claims to be the oldest in Hokkaido. It is located on the second floor of Tanukikoji 2-chome Tanuki COMICHI. The shop is immediately up the stairs and consists of 4 tables and an L-shaped counter. The background music seems to be the same for all, with cool Western music playing. From the menu that day, they only had blend coffee available, and surprisingly they also offer Japanese sake and wine. The dessert options were relatively simple, so I decided to try the "Jyuujiya Blend Coffee L (600 yen)". Let's take a sip... Hmm, it's not too complicated, which is good. It has a strong bitterness with little of the bean's unique taste, but it has a certain depth and richness. I suddenly realized that Tanuki COMICHI has been open for a few months now, and even on a holiday, it wasn't as crowded as I expected. They might need to take some action soon. Thank you for the meal.

On the second floor of Tanuki COMICHI, there is a popular coffee shop called "Jujuya Coffee Shop," which was established in 1932 in Hakodate. I decided to stop by for a cup of coffee to sober up after having a few drinks at another place. They offer a variety of drinks including blends, iced coffee, cafe au lait, as well as local sake, wine, and beer from Hakodate. I ordered the "Jujuya Blend Coffee" (500 yen) and also tried the "Sapporo Night View Ice Cream" (500 yen) which is a special menu item as part of the "Sapporo Night View Campaign." The Jujuya Blend Coffee is carefully brewed using hand drip method with freshly ground beans, served in a cup with the shop's name. It has a nice balance of richness and bitterness, with a light flavor. The Sapporo Night View Ice Cream features Hakodate ice cream topped with nuts and plenty of cocoa. The combination of sweet ice cream and slightly bitter cocoa is delightful. While Tanuki COMICHI is known for its bars, it is also a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a drink-free environment. Of course, you can still enjoy drinks here too (laughs).

After finishing my meal, I had some time before my next appointment so I decided to take a little break. I found a coffee shop nearby and decided to go in. It seemed like a coffee shop from Hakodate. Besides coffee, they also had local sake and wine on the menu, but I ordered the blend coffee in size M. Water was self-service. They also sold Trappist cookies. They brewed the coffee after I placed my order. It was served in a cup with the shop's name on it. The coffee had a nice balance of bitterness and mild acidity, making it easy to drink. It was a relaxing space amidst the crowded shops. Some customers who came later ordered wine. It was nice to have the option of both coffee and alcohol in a relatively quiet environment.

After enjoying a delicious Negi Tower Ramen, I was invited by my companion to join her for a coffee break. We tried to visit a jazz cafe I knew well, but unfortunately, it was closed for lunch. As we walked around Tanuki Street, we stumbled upon Tanuki COMICHI, a new spot I had heard about. To my surprise, there was a coffee corner inside, so we decided to check it out. It turned out to be a cafe from Hakodate, a place I had visited before. We ordered a blended coffee and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere inside the nearly empty building. The coffee was mild yet aromatic, perfect for a leisurely afternoon chat. We even noticed they offered sake, including Goryokaku from Hakodate. We had a great time chatting and savoring our drinks, but eventually, it was time to head back to work. As we parted ways at the intersection, I thanked my companion for the lovely time we had shared. I realized I had forgotten to ask for her contact information, but I was grateful for the enjoyable company and meal.

Located in Tanuki Koji 2-chome, Tanuki COMICHI is a long-established coffee shop founded in 1932 in Hakodate. I had a memorable coffee experience at the cross-ya in Hakodate Asaichi, so when I heard they opened in Sapporo, I couldn't wait to visit. The entrance is on the Tanuki Koji side, up the stairs on the left side of the second floor. It's a charming cafe with a calm atmosphere. The iced coffee has a wonderful aroma, smooth texture, and just the right amount of bitterness and acidity. It's exactly to my liking and absolutely delicious.

[Totally Smoke-Free] A cafe that opened on the second floor of Tanuki Komichi in Hakodate in August 2022, delighting coffee lovers. The location of the shop is in Tanukikoji 2-chome. I visited for the first time at 12:00 on September 30, after seeing many reviews from fellow reviewers mentioning "Tanuki something" recently. This time, I had the opportunity to stop by here (*‘∀‘). It's connected to Tanukikoji through Tanuki Komichi. When you actually visit, you'll remember it. I'll skip the details since readers are probably more familiar with Tanuki Komichi. I got a takeout (^^)/. The iced coffee costs 500 yen. The iced coffee isn't drip-brewed, but the flavor of the beans was okay. Well, it was a refreshing and easy-to-drink iced coffee. (#^.^#)

Located on Tanuki Koji 2-chome, on the second floor of Tanuki COMICHI, this cafe is the first branch of a long-established coffee shop from Hakodate to open in Sapporo. I have never been to the Hakodate branch, but after enjoying a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant, I felt like having a coffee, so I decided to stop by here. The interior is small, with a few counter seats and tables, similar to most of the shops in Tanuki COMICHI. In addition to coffee, they also serve alcohol such as Trappist beer, but this time I ordered the "Jujiya Blend Coffee (Medium size) for 500 yen". The coffee is made carefully one by one after ordering, so it may take a bit of time to be served. The Jujiya Blend has a deep richness with low bitterness and acidity, which I personally enjoyed. The prices are slightly higher compared to major cafe chains, but I think it is reasonable compared to cafes in Sapporo. They are open until late, so it's a good place to take a break without alcohol if you need to.

The popular "Tanuki COMICHI" continues to attract crowds with 5-60 people lining up before opening. The most popular spot seems to be "Shihachi Sengyo-ten". I decided to avoid the crowded places and stopped by "Jujiya Coffee Shop". It is run by two women, one young and one not so young, with a counter seating for 7 and four two-seater tables. I sat at the corner of the counter and looked at the menu. It said "Self-serve for water", but I didn't notice, so it might be better if they inform customers. They offer coffee (blend, hot or iced), cafe au lait in large or medium sizes, Trappist beer, Sapporo Ebisu Premium Black, sake "Goryo" and "Kohho", Hakodate wine, and food items like Hakodate squid, Hakodate ice cream, Hakodate ice cream & coffee jelly, and Trappist cookies. The shop was founded in Hakodate in 1932 and still operates a coffee stand in Hakodate Ekini Market, selling ground coffee beans as well. I ordered a "Blend (M)@500", they weighed and ground the beans, then slowly brewed it with a hand drip. It was served in an original thick cup with the shop's name on it. It was served at a good temperature, slightly bitter with a hint of acidity and astringency, which I really enjoyed. The M size, both hot and iced, is 500 yen, while the L size is 600 yen. It would be nice if they had more menu options like toast or sandwiches in the future.

This is Komachi, a first-time visitor to the place! Everywhere you look, there are senbero (cheap drinking sets), choi-nomi sets, and late-night drinking sets, with many bars and izakayas around. After wandering around here and there, I decided to come to this café to get some caffeine and freshen up! When I looked at the menu, there were 3 types of coffee-based drinks, 5 types of alcoholic drinks, and 1 type of snack & sweets. Even though it's a café, it seems to be designed for drinkers too (laughs). My friend ordered an "Iced Café au Lait" (600 yen), and I ordered the original "Corn Tea Highball" (300 yen). When I took a sip, I was surprised! It tastes like corn!! It has a nice corn aroma too. It's so delicious! With the caffeine kick, I should be feeling refreshed, but will I end up even more tipsy?! I tried my friend's Café au Lait, which was slightly bitter, not too acidic, milky, and easy to drink. It was delicious! Oh, by the way, they also had Trappist cookies (100 yen) at the counter. Next time, I'll try the Trappist beer with the Trappist cookies! Thank you, "Jujiya"!

This is Chotan COMICHI! Everywhere you look, there are sembei, snack sets, and evening drinking sets, with plenty of drunkenness manufacturing shops wandering around. If you're feeling a bit tipsy, come over here to this cafe for a caffeine boost! Let's perk up! The menu offers 3 types of coffee, 5 types of alcohol, plus 1, and 5 types of snacks and sweets. Even though it's a cafe, it's also drinker-friendly (lol). My friend ordered an "Iced Cafe au Lait" (600 yen), and I ordered the original "Corn Tea Highball" (300 yen). When I took a sip, I was surprised! It's made with corn!! The aroma is also a nice corn smell. This is delicious! With the caffeine kick, I should be perking up, but will I end up even more tipsy?! I tried my friend's Cafe au Lait, which had a mild bitterness, acidity, and was milky and easy to drink. It was delicious! Oh, and they also had Trappist cookies (100 yen) at the counter. The M Blend has a sharp bitterness that comes on strong. Starting off with a medium-level sensation, as you continue to drink, it gradually transitions to a lighter feel. As time passes, the bitterness becomes softer and a hint of sweetness starts to emerge. Furthermore, a gentle acidity emerges later on. The mouthfeel is smooth and crystal-like, with a clean nuance, but the concentration seems to be on the lower side. Personally, I felt that the iced coffee was well-made. Ultimately, I perceived the coffee as being on the lighter side, although I initially felt a strong presence. The Trappist cookies, a familiar souvenir from Hakodate, were a nostalgic touch. I bought one, but instead of eating it at the shop, I enjoyed it at home with my coffee.

Can the historic Hakodate's Jyuban-ya Coffee Shop establish its position among the coffee specialty shops in Sapporo? I spent a short time at the Jyuban-ya Coffee Shop Tanuki COMICHI store while waiting for a meeting. The cold brew iced coffee at Jyuban-ya Coffee Shop has a soft sweetness and a sharp, crystal-clear bitter taste. The depth of this flavor exceeds expectations and is truly impressive. Despite my initial concerns about a potential decline in quality after opening multiple branches, this iced coffee was delicious and highly satisfying. The ice cubes, without holes, melt slowly, maintaining the condition of the iced coffee consistently. The glassware, seating, and interior of the shop all exude cleanliness. I had always thought it would be convenient to have a cafe in such a location, and I appreciate being able to use it for short breaks or time adjustments.

Address: 2-4-1 Tanukikoji COMICHI 2nd floor, Minami 2 Jo Nishi 2, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido A coffee shop called Tojiya Coffee Shop located on the second floor of Tanukikoji COMICHI in the 2nd block of Tanukikoji, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. This is a long-established coffee shop founded in 1932 in Hakodate. They also have a shop at the Hakodate Morning Market, which seems to be quite popular. It's great to be able to enjoy their traditional coffee in Sapporo. The entrance on the Tanukikoji side leads to the stairs to the second floor, where the shop is located on the left. It was a quiet day when I visited, with only a few customers. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. There are counter seats and a few tables in front of the kitchen space. The interior of the shop features a monitor displaying videos of Hakodate, making you want to visit there. They serve coffee in mugs with the shop's logo, which is also printed on the back of the staff's T-shirts. It has a retro vibe and looks cool. The menu is simple, offering only one blend of coffee in two sizes, as well as beer, Hakodate wine, and Japanese sake from Hakodate and Nanai. I ordered the Blend M coffee, which was freshly ground using a Kalita mill. The coffee had a good balance of bitterness and richness, with a light impression and not too acidic. I also tried the Trappist cookie, a popular souvenir from Hakodate, which paired well with the coffee. I look forward to trying the coffee jelly and vanilla ice cream next time. It would be nice if they had a loyalty card.

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease by the government. There is no cure for my rare disease yet, but a temporary improvement in symptoms can be achieved by administering "blood products" for five consecutive days. Last year, I was hospitalized five times for rare disease treatment. I was hospitalized for the third time this year on June 12th, but was discharged 36 days ago. Your supportive comments always lift my spirits during hospital stays, and I am truly grateful. Thank you for your continued support. Due to health issues, I am delayed in responding to comments. I will catch up as soon as I feel better. I plan to focus on reviewing past unrevealed content for now. A new visit will be limited based on my health condition. A new food destination, "Tanuki Komichi," opened on August 28, 2022, in Hokkaido, featuring 18 compact stores offering various food and agricultural products. On August 30, 2022, the renowned coffee shop "Jyujiya Coffee Shop Tanuki Komichi Store" opened within the Tanuki Komichi arcade in Sapporo. I visited for lunch with my usual companion. The shop is on the second floor of Tanuki Komichi in Sapporo's Chuo Ward. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. I ordered an "Iced Cafe au Lait" for takeout as they only served hot coffee for takeout. The shop was a bit crowded and warm. I also tried the famous "Totapisto Cookie" from Hakodate. The Iced Cafe au Lait had a mild and pleasant taste, but I personally prefer a stronger coffee flavor. The Totapisto Cookie paired well with the drink. Next time, I might try the Iced Coffee with the Totapisto Cookie. It was a tasty experience.

On this day off, I drank in Hiragishi and then arrived at Tanuki COMCHI by subway (which was in pre-opening on that day). I took a break at Jyubokuya Coffee Shop, which has its main store in Hakodate. We had Trappist beer and Jyubokuya Aiko to toast! (Trappist beer has 7% alcohol, so it packs quite a punch!) (My wife ordered Aiko, which was easy to drink, and the Trappist cookies were a nostalgic taste!) After taking a break at Jyubokuya Coffee Shop, we headed to the TV Tower.
