When I visited Hokkaido, I stayed at the "Super Hotel Sapporo Susukino" in Sapporo. This hotel is a well-known nationwide chain business hotel. It is located in the heart of Susukino, and what makes it special is the natural hot spring bath. The hotel is located near the Susukino subway station on the Toho Line, just west of the No. 7 exit. It is situated between Minami 6-jo Street and a street one block north of it. I chose this hotel because it offered the most affordable rate with breakfast included among the hotels in Susukino that I searched for. Additionally, the presence of a natural hot spring bath was a major selling point. The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station, and although it is somewhat on the outskirts of Susukino, it didn't matter much as I couldn't go out for nightlife due to the current pandemic situation. As for breakfast, it is included in the room rate and is served during the following hours: Weekdays: 6:45 am - 9:00 am Weekends and holidays: 6:45 am - 9:30 am During my two-night stay, the breakfast menu included: Day 1 Salad Bar: - Organic salad (cabbage, lettuce, carrots, bell peppers) - Dressings: yuzu, onion, plum shiso, tomato, Italian Side Dishes: - Napolitan pasta, stir-fried pork with bell peppers, cabbage rolls, okra with grated yam, onsen tamago Rice and Soup Station: - Soup: soup curry, miso soup (tofu, seaweed) - Rice: Yumepikari rice - Accompaniments: pickled radish, soy sauce cucumber, pickled plum, noritama, natto, seaweed Dessert: - Yogurt, blueberry jam Drinks: - Coke, Real Gold, Calpis Water, Minute Maid (grape squash), Minute Maid (orange), sparkling oolong tea, health ion carbonated water, health ion water, hot coffee, iced coffee, hot water, water, ice Day 2 Salad Bar: - Organic salad (cabbage, lettuce, carrots, bell peppers) - Dressings: yuzu, onion, plum shiso, tomato, Italian Side Dishes: - Dried daikon radish, mixed vegetables, hamburger steak, salted kelp cabbage, rolled omelette, wiener Rice and Soup Station: - Soup: soup curry, miso soup (tofu, seaweed) - Rice: Yumepikari rice - Accompaniments: pickled radish, soy sauce cucumber, pickled plum, noritama, seaweed Dessert: - Yogurt, blueberry jam Drinks: - Coke, Real Gold, Calpis Water, Minute Maid (grape squash), Minute Maid (orange), sparkling oolong tea, health ion carbonated water, health ion water, hot coffee, iced coffee, hot water, water, ice The juice, coffee, and water stations were available as welcome drinks until 9:00 pm, allowing guests to help themselves. The dishes at the breakfast buffet vary daily, so it's best to arrive early to enjoy a wide selection of dishes. While the breakfast offerings were not particularly gourmet or made with local ingredients, they were quite satisfying considering they were complimentary.
