Popular cafe "THE old CAFE", known for its delicious coffee, meals, and sweets, has relocated and reopened on January 17th from Higashi-Hikari 6-7 to Toyooka 2-4 in Asahikawa City. The new stylish store with high ceilings has seating on the second floor as well. When I visited around 6 pm on a weekday, there were 4 groups of customers already seated, and more customers continued to arrive. I ordered the "Red Wine Demi-Glace Omurice" (980 yen) from the meal menu, accompanied by the "Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere" (580 yen, 150 yen off when ordered with a meal) brewed with a French press, and the "Kinkan Custard Cream Tart" (500 yen) for dessert. The Omurice was ready in about 10 minutes. The Demi-Glace sauce, with a hint of red wine flavor, was rich and flavorful. The beef was tender and deliciously cooked. The egg wrapping the rice had a creamy texture, making it quite a high-quality Omurice for a cafe! After the meal, coffee and cake were served. The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere coffee had a pleasant acidity. This cafe offers four brewing methods to choose from: "Paper Drip," "Siphon," "Stainless Drip," and "French Press." I chose the French Press on that day. The Kinkan Custard Cream Tart was a limited edition tart with plenty of kumquats on top of custard cream, accompanied by cocoa crumble on the tart and plate. The harmonious blend of sweet and sour flavors in the tart, along with the cafe's logo drawn in cocoa powder, showcased the unique creativity of this place. The staff were very friendly and the stylish ambiance made it a delightful place to enjoy meals, sweets, and coffee!

I moved and visited a few times, but it was always crowded so I gave up. This time, I was told I was the second group to be called, so I waited. I saw a siphon from the next table, so I ordered coffee using the siphon method. It had a slight bitterness, but it was easy to drink even black. Next time, I might order food as well.

I visited "The old CAFE" in Toyohoka, Asahikawa City for a late lunch. It was around 3:30 pm and the restaurant was almost full. We were seated at a table and looked at the menu. I ordered the "Omelette rice with red wine demi-glace sauce for 980 yen" and my companion ordered the "Red wine demi-glace sauce with bread for 980 yen". Our dishes arrived in about 15 minutes. The "Omelette rice with red wine demi-glace sauce" was delicious with its creamy omelette and rich demi-glace sauce with a hint of sweetness from the red wine. The "Red wine demi-glace sauce with bread" was also a perfect match with the crispy French bread. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very stylish, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent, which explains why it is a popular spot. Since it's a cafe, I might try their coffee next time.

After enjoying the sweetness at Bungo, we arrived at THE old CAFE. It was stylish, with a great atmosphere and bustling with many customers. We ordered The Old Blend Dark Mix hot coffee and Viennese coffee to go, and shared them. Both had unique flavors. I would love to go back again if I have the chance.

After moving, the parking lot became larger...but with that, it seems that the number of customers entering the store has also increased. It was already a popular place, but it feels like it has been powered up even more. I went there expecting to wait, as it is normal. You can rent a private room for a fee, but there is a time limit, which is not ideal. I wanted to go from lunch to cafe time, but on this day, I had already eaten lunch at another place and went there aiming for something sweet. I waited in the car for about 40 minutes, which was fine since I didn't have to wait inside the store. They call you to come inside once a table is available. I enjoyed the delicious coffee and sweets as always. The size of the sweets (pancakes) seems to have become a bit smaller, probably due to rising ingredient costs. Next time, I would like to try their pasta for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I often ordered coffee at events, and this was my first time visiting the store. The exterior was lovely, and the interior was calming with a tea-colored theme. I felt like I would definitely come back. The parking was easy, and I could sit at the counter without worrying about people watching me. It was a coffee lover's dream to be able to choose the extraction method! This time, I ordered carbonara. Looking forward to the next visit.

I came here because I wanted to drink delicious coffee! I was about 15 minutes late for the opening time, so all the table seats were full! I sat at the counter. The coffee went perfectly with the cake, and I was able to spend a relaxing time there.

I'm happy that they are open until late at night.
