I ordered the Double Thick Beef Set with Grilled Soy Sauce flavor, which I had not tried before. I couldn't help but also order a large drink and fries. It arrived promptly, so I took my seat and started eating. This burger is all about the patty and cheese, giving off a classic burger vibe with a Japanese twist. It's not trying to be an exact replica of American burgers, but rather a unique creation tailored to Japanese tastes. It's a fantastic burger that I would love to eat again and again, not just a limited-time special. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In 2021, Taro and his wife are back in their hometown during what they call Golden Week. So, we don't have any packed lunches. Therefore, we decided to go to McDonald's, specifically the Asahikawa Miyamae-dori store. Since we don't have packed lunches, we can eat anything, but for Taro, we ordered a Happy Meal. Of course, we're aiming for the toy that comes with it. This time, the toy is from the Plarail series. It's a popular promotion that happens once a year. From September 17th to September 30th, you could get one toy from Doctor Yellow, Yamanote Line, Shinkansen Kagayaki, or Limited Express Hida. It's random, so you can't request a specific one. We got Doctor Yellow and Limited Express Hida in the first round when we went through the drive-thru with Taro. Taro already had Doctor Yellow from last year, so it was a bit disappointing. The first round visit was at McDonald's Asahikawa Nagayama store. For the second round, we got EH500 Kintaro. Taro only had Doctor Yellow before, so we were hoping for Hayabusa or Tsubame, but it didn't go as planned. The Happy Meal Cheeseburger set includes a cheeseburger, side menu, small drink, and a toy for 500 yen, but we used a coupon and paid 400 yen. The side menu options are yogurt, edamame corn, side salad, or small fries. We chose small fries. I've never chosen anything other than fries for the Happy Meal side menu in my life. The McDonald's fries have a unique oil flavor that I love. The cheeseburger is decent, but if you're used to a double cheeseburger, the single one might feel a bit lacking. The 5-piece Chicken McNuggets were 200 yen, but with the coupon, we paid 150 yen. I really like McDonald's McNuggets. They're crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, although not as juicy as I'd like, they were still delicious.

In Asahikawa, there were just two of us and our main focus was skiing, so I hadn't really thought about doing a food review. But when I found out the hotel didn't have internet access, I was in despair. I complained to my wife, and she said we could just go to McDonald's in the morning. Both are rich and delicious. I imagined this is what a café in Belgium might be like. I wanted to order a Frappuccino, but it seems they only sell it at limited locations, so I got a strawberry smoothie instead, size M, which was quite a lot, like American size? And again, it was rich and sweet. It was a sweet treat overload. I was there, unable to fully become a Starbucks. Good enough for me♪

I decided to try this menu that was also supported by Kimutaku, who carefully chooses his work. When I had the 4-layered dish before, each layer was thin and didn't leave a big impression, so I wasn't expecting much. However, this time, when I tried it as a whole, it surprisingly had a substantial weight to it. It wasn't as heavy as a classic double from some other shop, but it had a good amount of heft to it. It was just the right amount, and I was pleasantly surprised by the satisfying feeling it gave. By the time I finished it all, I was full. Truly a master, they know what they're doing! 😄

The one from Canada has a unique bacon shape and sauce that gives a satisfying impact. The UK one is probably the highlight this time. It had a bacon vibe and the sauce was convincing. I came to McDonald's this morning! I could have used the drive-thru, but I wanted to experience the atmosphere inside the store. McDonald's had a rule of "no dining in" until the state of emergency was lifted. There were 5-6 cars in the drive-thru line. Inside, there was 1 person waiting for takeout and 2 solo customers dining in. The seating arrangement was spaced out for safety. I ordered the Chicken Tatsuta set with a salad instead of fries for an extra 50 yen. I chose the sesame dressing. The Chicken Tatsuta smelled delicious with its ginger soy flavor. The salad was refreshing. I also enjoyed an Iced Cafe Latte. McDonald's had a mobile order option available as well.

It's overeating, not good (bitter smile) - Chicken Filet-O Sandwich - Rice Chicken Tata Rice Burger, I think it's Mos Burger, but McDonald's rice I ate in Hawaii was delicious, so I thought it must be delicious in Japan too! So when it was released, I tried it. As for the Tata Tata, this one has creativity. The idea of sandwiching meat with rice is good. I nodded in agreement a second or two later. On the other hand, the Chicken Filet-O is outstanding. The flavor is rich. When I was a boy, the Double Cheeseburger I used to eat had a certain status, but this Chicken Filet-O easily surpasses the quality of that time and continues to provide people with a delicious and affordable option. Recently, I have been eating at McDonald's a lot, mostly dining in the restaurant. But in my household, there are more fans of M**Donald's burgers (tears). With my wife and daughter away, I had a takeout meal by myself. It was delicious.
