After a day of employee training at the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market in Hokkaido, I headed to Noboribetsu Onsen with my mother the next day. The inn where we stayed in Noboribetsu Onsen had a shuttle bus departing from Sapporo TV Tower. While waiting for the bus to depart, we stopped by this cafe. The cafe had a counter with beautiful cups lined up neatly. The attention to detail by the owner was evident, and jazz music was playing from a large speaker. My mother ordered coffee, while I opted for cocoa since I don't drink coffee. I took a sip from the delicate cup, and the sweetness of the cream and cocoa instantly relaxed me. The professional touch and care put into making the drink, along with the cozy atmosphere of the cafe, allowed us to unwind and enjoy the moment. It was a delightful experience.

When I have lunch at odd hours, I don't get hungry until dinner, so a cafe meal is just the right amount. Miyakoshiya is always a place where I can relax, so I can use it with peace of mind. Located above a popular sandwich cafe directly connected to the subway station is Miyakoshiya Coffee. I originally intended to go to the popular sandwich cafe, but it had a long line, so I decided to try Miyakoshiya Coffee instead. The atmosphere inside was very calm, with stylish cups lined up along the walls. As a fan of cups and saucers, I enjoyed looking for the ones I own among the displayed items. The toast set I ordered was delicious, with thick slices of toast and a drink included. However, the price was a bit steep at 1980 yen for two toast sets. It's not your typical morning set price, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it was worth it.笑

In the middle of a main street, there is a small cafe located in the basement of a building. The interior of the cafe is wide and creates an atmosphere similar to an authentic bar. This time, I only ordered coffee without any food. After ordering coffee, the staff carefully brewed the coffee. The good thing about this kind of cafe is that you can enjoy watching the staff brew the coffee. Sitting at the counter seat, you can see the staff's every move while waiting for the coffee to be ready, enjoying a book slowly... However, the order arrived without waiting too long. The flavor and aroma, with a prominent bitterness, made me think that it was a good decision to visit this place. I left a word of thanks and left the shop. When I visit nearby again, I think I will have more coffee. I recommend everyone to stop by. You can spend a relaxing time.

This is around Daiton Station. You enter from the underground passage. Although Miyakoshiya is known for being a smoking-friendly place, this particular Miyakoshiya has been non-smoking for quite some time. Just like the others, this Miyakoshiya has a nice audio system playing atmospheric jazz music. As it's getting colder, a stylish dad in a French coat ordered the French coffee for 550 yen (excluding tax). It looks huge! There were no other customers when we arrived, and only one customer came in as we were leaving. There was no conversation, just the music playing in the background as we enjoyed the strong coffee. This French coffee has a good balance of bitterness and sweetness. It's quite nice. I spent some time savoring the coffee and contemplating. Now, it's time to head home. Thanks for the meal.

In October 2019, I visited Miyakoshiya Coffee located in the underground floor of Tokushin Building in Odori West 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. It is directly connected to the Odori Station, next to Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store. The cafe has a chic and calm atmosphere with only counter seats available. What's great is that it is a completely non-smoking establishment. I had the French blend coffee and enjoyed a relaxing time as time passed by slowly. It was a wonderful experience. It is conveniently connected to the Odori Subway Station and next to Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store. The cafe has only counter seats and is completely non-smoking, which may be rare for cafes. The atmosphere is chic and elegant. I had the French blend coffee, which had a wonderful aroma. I was able to spend a relaxing time as the time passed by slowly. Today, I met up with friends for dinner and then my husband at a cafe. It's cold outside, so the cafe is a cozy spot. You have to go downstairs from the main street and then up to the second floor. We waited at the back, overlooking the lower floor. I ordered a warm pot of tea. Soon, my husband arrived and ordered a French coffee. The tea was mild but enough to warm me up. The French coffee was just average. The cafe is always crowded and everyone looks like they're having a good time. It was packed as usual today.

Looking for a valuable cup of coffee in the morning, I visited Miyakoshiya Coffee, which is a rare completely smoke-free store. The status of the previous store was tainted by smoke, but here, you can expect a high status of authentic coffee without any mistakes. I ordered Mandheling, which is at the top of the menu for straight coffee. Violin and orchestral music flow slowly in the calm space. This strong bitter taste, reminiscent of bitter chocolate without sweetness, lingers for a long time. It hit me right in the head for my morning cup! The richness was different from the first cup, and I felt the goodness, but the deep taste was also at a high level of bitterness as if it came from the abyss. The deep aroma gently felt through the nasal cavity. It had a deep taste that lingered on the tongue, gradually infiltrating. It had a clear and smooth taste, but with a deep flavor. It reminded me of that coffee again... The Mandheling from Honda Coffee the other day was weak!!? I felt that the acidity was too assertive, but the Mandheling here was a satisfying cup. There was a nomadic worker-like person at the back counter, and they were drinking near the entrance, in a calm and relaxing store space. I felt like having coffee, so I visited this place. I decided to have breakfast as well. Unfortunately, I came at a busy time, so it was crowded. I ordered the "Toast Set." The coffee arrived first, and it was freshly ground and delicious. The toast came with jam and was thick but still soft and easy to eat. It was really tasty. I wish I had come a bit earlier to enjoy another slice. I definitely want to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal!

During the consecutive holidays, I felt like taking a break after work and since I had already had alcohol, I decided to go for coffee today without any plans and ended up in the city. As I was strolling around, I unintentionally arrived at the bird square due to my usual habit, and I was getting lost in my purpose. Yes, I didn't actually come to see the parrots. I wanted to have coffee. There should be Miyakoshiya nearby from here. I finally arrived here. Next to Marui Imai. Going up the stairs underground, it had a calm atmosphere that didn't feel like the city. Completely non-smoking, free Wi-Fi, which is very much appreciated. I had tried French before, so I decided to go for Country this time. I heard that Country is strong in bitterness. I hesitated between European and Country, but today I prioritize bitterness. All the previous customers were alone, and it was really quiet with no conversations heard. Pleasant European music and jazz were playing. A lady was running the place alone, grinding beans and drip brewing one cup at a time, so it takes a bit of time when there are other customers. It's nice to wait while looking through magazines. My order arrived after the previous customer's order was done. I took a sip. It certainly has bitterness. I think French was similar to this. It has bitterness, richness, and a slight acidity. If you like French, you probably would like the taste of Country as well. Enjoying a leisurely coffee in the cozy dimly lit interior. And in the underground city. It was quite a fulfilling time. They open from 8 am to 9 pm, which is very convenient. There are many Miyakoshiya but personally, non-smoking is a big plus.

On a holiday morning walk in Chikaho, every time I come to the city center early in the morning, there are fewer and fewer unvisited shops around Sapporo Station and Odori area that are open from around 8 am. On this day, I aimed for a certain shop but was shocked to find out that it opens at 10:30 am on Sundays. I happened to find "Miyakoshiya Coffee" nearby and decided to dive in. There was one group of two customers before me and one customer after me. As I entered through the automatic door, I saw magazines and newspapers placed nearby. The interior of the shop had surprisingly few seats, was dimly lit, and did not match the refreshing morning atmosphere. Inside the counter, there was a middle-aged male staff. On the glass facing outside the shop, shelves were set up with various coffee cups displayed, giving off a sense of sophistication. I ordered the blend "French" for 550 yen, which was carefully hand-dripped after grinding the beans. After waiting for 7 minutes, the blend was brewed slightly on the heavier side, a taste that I personally like. However, I felt that the coffee at this time could be a bit cheaper. This place is good for when you want to relax in a calm atmosphere rather than a large café in the city center in the morning.

The cafe has only counter seats and is completely non-smoking. The atmosphere is calm and lovely. Today, I had the cake set. The set included three types of cakes - a Camembert cheese cake from Romantei, and two other homemade cakes from Miyakoshiya. Although I was curious about the homemade cakes, I decided to go with the Camembert cheese cake. I chose iced coffee as my drink. Romantei's cake was consistently delicious. The iced coffee had a crisp flavor that paired well with the cake. I was able to relax and enjoy my time in this leisurely setting. Thank you for the lovely meal.
