It's been a while since I visited Bikkuri Donkey. As always, the food was delicious and satisfying. I had the regular burger dish with 150g of meat and added a side salad. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger dish with 150g of meat. We also had the Bikkuri fried potatoes, although it's not in the photo. Both of us were full and satisfied.

I visited the popular "Bikkuri Donkey" for their morning menu. I ordered the "Potato Salad Toast Set (with drink and salad)" for 550 yen. The toast had potato salad on top, sprinkled with cheese and paprika. It was delicious. The set also came with daikon salad and a boiled egg. I enjoyed my hot coffee and the fact that refills were available. The price was reasonable, the food was satisfying, and the service was great. I understand why this place has such a good reputation!

Today was a meeting day. I had a meeting scheduled for 11:30 am, but wow, it was crowded. In less than 10 minutes, there were already people waiting. Surprising! Right in front of me. This place seems to be always busy. From Bikkuri Donkey to Uniqlo, to Hotto Motto. The parking lot is spacious, but nearby spaces were already full. Actually, even while taking photos, more and more people were entering the store... Why is it so popular? Are all these people aiming for that? Oh, this menu is from the Kagura store, which has already disappeared. Other locations seem to be out of this menu as well. But luckily, it was still available at the Nagayama store! I'm super happy. Bikkuri Donkey is definitely known for this menu. Here it is! Gulliver! 400g dish and a plate. But when I think about it, the parent-child burger is actually more in quantity, with 150g + 300g... But Gulliver rice is something else. 600g of rice. I probably won't be able to finish that... I want to see it... But I'm not confident I can finish it during lunch... The lunch menu had some interesting items. The burger comes in 150g, 200g, 300g, with miso soup included. Let's check the regular prices. 150g with miso soup for 800 yen, 300g with miso soup for 1240 yen. Normally, 150g is 750 yen, and 300g is 1155 yen, so the lunch option is slightly cheaper. But if you don't need miso soup, ordering separately is a better deal. The 300g option is not as cost-effective as it seems. Lunch drinks cost 200 yen. Lunch includes a drink for 200 yen, like this iced coffee. Normally it costs 310 yen, so it's quite a good deal. Gulliver fried potatoes cost 660 yen for 600g. But... it doesn't seem like there's more quantity than usual. I didn't ask, but is this a mistake? It doesn't feel like there's more quantity. By the way, the regular price is 440 yen, so it might be around 400g. Gulliver burger dish, as suggested by my friend, I mean, encouraged to order this. With cheese topping. And corn soup. The Gulliver cheese burger dish, 400g, costs 1520 yen, and the corn soup is discounted when ordering a Gulliver dish. It was delicious. Sweet and rich, but I felt like the taste and richness have changed a bit compared to the past. Also, it's not as big as before... I thought, why not make it 500g? It's quite filling. The rice in the dish can be upgraded to Gulliver rice, but it's just a normal portion. And towards the end, it started to feel quite heavy. Surprising strawberry milkshake for 715 yen. I ordered this just because it sounded interesting... but wow, it's a huge size. It had a vanilla ice cream on top. The Gulliver soft serve for 650 yen was also tempting. I struggled to choose. The strawberry and chocolate sauce were served separately. It was tough. The strawberry bits settled at the bottom. When mixed, it becomes strawberry milkshake, and it's delicious. But even after drinking a lot, it was still halfway... But somehow, I managed to finish it all. However!! I couldn't eat dinner that night at all. It's a limited-time offer, so hurry up!! After finishing work, I visited the Gulliver Festival with my colleagues. We ordered the Gulliver Salad, Gulliver Burger Steak (regular size), and Gulliver Rice. There were options of 400g and 600g for the steak, and we ended up ordering a total of 1kg. I tried to stick to the veggies first, but couldn't resist the delicious salad. We also got some takeout containers and attempted a Gulliver challenge with 3 steaks, but unfortunately, we failed. For dessert, we had Gulliver Soft Serve, Gulliver Strawberry Milk, and Gulliver Potato. Definitely worth a try. Thank you for the meal!

I decided to get a new winter coat for 2021. It's not a thug outfit, just kidding! (laughs) The winter coat I wore until last year was quite worn out, with the back rubbed and torn. I first went to a department store and found some warm blousons and jackets for around 5000 yen. While trying on a few, Taro pointed to the jacket I was originally wearing and said, "This one is good!" Taro, who had said he wanted to go to the department store, quickly got bored and wanted to leave. Next, at Uniqlo and ABC Mart, every time I put on a winter coat, Taro would point to the jacket I was originally wearing and say, "This one is good!" In the end, he stood alone near the automatic door at the entrance exuding an "aura of wanting to go home." So, we ended up at "Bikkuri Donkey Nagayama Store." Since Taro had to accompany us on our errands, we decided to go to Taro's favorite Bikkuri Donkey. The Nagayama area seems to have a lot of families with children, and it can get quite noisy. Honestly, it's hard to ignore the noise. But we are also a family with children, so it's all good! (laughs) Bikkuri Donkey has become quite expensive lately, so we can only order from the lunch menu. The Dish Lunch (with cheese, 200g) costs 1065 yen (tax included). I have mentioned the theory that "Omachi Store is delicious!" in Bikkuri Donkey reviews several times, and after eating at the Nagayama store, I am convinced that this theory is correct. The hamburgers at the Nagayama store lack juiciness compared to the Omachi store. It's noisy with many children, so if you're going to Bikkuri Donkey, Omachi store is the way to go!

Finally, it's the third state of emergency declaration... Even after three declarations, the number of infected people continues to increase. I wonder if there is any other type of declaration that can be made. I just want this to end quickly... Even chain stores that close at 8:00 PM are now closing at 8:00 PM. Just because they don't serve alcohol doesn't mean it's okay. Well, it's what the experts are saying, so it's just a layman's opinion. But... I don't think that the increase in cases is happening specifically after 8:00 PM. That's why I went before 6:00 PM today. The menu has changed. The window style is the same, but sadly, some of my favorite items like macaroni & cheese were gone... The salad with white asparagus was also missing. It's sad... it's sad... maybe they weren't popular. The current fair menu has some interesting hamburgers. The bacon egg ben burger looks quite intriguing. I wonder what the hollandaise sauce tastes like. The loco moco burger dish also seems appealing, but it's missing avocado... I used to eat too much of it in the past and I don't like it anymore. The garlic shrimp & potato dish was something I wanted to try, but it seems to be sold out already. The corn soup has changed to only one size. I always used to order the large size... but now it's only available in small. But it's sweet and delicious, so I still order it. And the cafe on the rocks. It came out even though I didn't say it was for after the meal... haha. I tried putting a cheese burger dish egg on top. It looks like a normal burger dish, but I'll reveal a secret later haha. I asked for extra hamburger sauce, which they provided. I like to add a little extra sauce. Eating it with chopsticks... oh, the cheese goes so well with it. Adding the egg makes it even tastier. It's been a while since I had it, but Bikkuri Donkey's regular menu is always delicious. It's a reliable and delicious taste. The cheese hardens quite quickly as you eat it. There was a new menu item called Milky and Mild Fondue-style Cheese Sauce, I wonder how that tastes. And actually, it was a parent and child dish haha. I hadn't eaten lunch, so I was really hungry. So, I ended up ordering the parent and child burger. There are 150g and 300g options for the hamburger, but this one had both, totaling 450g. But after eating the potatoes and salad, I was quite full. If you're really hungry, be careful when ordering. But I still managed to eat it all haha. Additionally... I love peaches, so I ordered a seasonal dessert. Smooth almond Little Peach. Men should go for the Jockey Parfait quietly... but it's too sweet and I would definitely give up halfway through. But maybe if it's peach, I might be able to eat it... haha. And I also ordered a Milk Love Cafe. So, I was quite satisfied with my visit to Bikkuri Donkey after a long time. Visited the restaurant while waiting for a movie. Ordered the limited-time offer, the "Resort-style Hamburger Loco Moco Burger Dish 150g for 1045 yen with soup set for an additional 150 yen." The description mentioned, "The richness of the demi-glace sauce and the smoothness of the avocado. The acidity of the tomato and the crispy lettuce are the accents." Among the many hamburger specialty shops, this one doesn't have any particularly unique features and offers a generally familiar taste. The corn soup is recommended! The potatoes are thick and piping hot. They go well with the mustard mayonnaise!

I stopped by on the way back from Asahiyama Zoo. I was torn between a ramen shop and Donki, where I could definitely use my GOTO ticket. The parking lot was packed! Do the people of Asahikawa really like this place so much? I ordered the recommended Enjoyment Set for 1,200 yen with an additional egg topping. For my drink, I chose hot coffee. The soup was miso soup. For dessert, I had a strawberry soft serve after the meal. It was quite crowded, so I thought it would take a while, but everyone finished their meals and left quickly, so the food was served faster than I expected. First, I had the hot coffee, which was delicious. I snacked on my companion's potato fries while waiting. They were tasty because I was hungry. The hamburger arrived. It was the reliable Donkey Burger. Adding the egg was the right choice. The miso soup was delicious, as expected from a Japanese person. After finishing the meal, I requested dessert with a bell. Here it comes. The strawberry soft serve. It's not often that I get to eat a whole one, so I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I regret a little bit that I didn't choose the strawberry milk with chunky texture that my daughter ordered instead of coffee for my drink.

I took a trip to Asahikawa by train and walked from Minami-Nagayama to Powers. I used to live near here 8 years ago, so it was nostalgic to visit. To my surprise, the Akachan Honbo building was gone! It's now an empty lot! There's Miyoshi Gyoza and Nogami nearby! Time flies so fast. I took a break at Don Quijote in Powers. My friend had Mont Blanc parfait, and I had organic beer. Sweet treats and cold beer really hit the spot for our tired bodies. We recharged our energy. I actually wanted to go to Hot House in Powers, but it was lunch break time and we couldn't go in. Too bad. I'll come back again someday.

I purchased a Regular Burger from Biggiri Donkey for takeout. After bringing it home, I will heat it up in the microwave. It comes with fries and stew as sides, which are quite tasty.

I wonder when I went there... Actually, I haven't been there for lunch yet... There are so many delicious-looking menu items and the inside of the restaurant smells so good... sniff sniff. I usually go after lunch when I can't stay long. I sometimes crave for Affogato. When I want to chat and spend time leisurely, I find this place very convenient. I think I'll try coming for lunch next time. I wonder how many hours I'll end up staying this time? Haha.

Bikkuri Donkey, which always seems crowded at meal times, has been renovated and the store looks much cleaner now. They have diaper changing tables, kids chairs, kids menus, and picture books, so it's a safe place for parents to dine with their children. The kids menu's Boo-chan child lunch may look small, but it's just the right size for younger kids. Lately, I've been craving curry rice, so I was surprised to see that Bikkuri Donkey offers a variety of curry dishes. The curry is not too sweet or too spicy, but I always end up wanting more, so I pay extra to add more. I was intrigued by the strawberry soft serve with white balls, and it came with three white balls. When you think of Donkey, you think of white balls. I really want to try the Merry-Go-Round next time!

It's Bikkuri Donkey. I've been going there since I was a child, so it's a familiar place for me. When I left Hokkaido to work, I would occasionally see Bikkuri Donkey and feel nostalgic. Today, after taking photos of my children in Nagayama, we decided to have dinner at Bikkuri Donkey. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were seated right away, but by 6 pm there was already a waiting line to get in! The customers are mainly families, but there is a wide range of clientele and it's very popular. I usually order the hamburger dish, but this time I wanted to try the meat spaghetti! We also ordered a pizza and some potatoes to share with my wife and kids. I ordered the Margherita pizza for the first time. The fluffy pizza with a thick crust was surprisingly filling. The potatoes were mostly eaten by my kids, but having two sauces to choose from was great! The spaghetti looked big in the photos, but it was a normal size when it arrived. Maybe it seemed bigger in comparison to the hamburger. The meat sauce was delicious, and of course, the hamburger was tasty too! The only downside was that the hamburger already had seasoning, so you don't really need the meat sauce. Despite feeling somewhat full, I couldn't resist ordering the parfait! It had brownies, chocolate sauce, chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, cornflakes, and almost everything I love in a parfait. I know I'll gain weight again. This is a great restaurant for family outings, so I'm sure we'll visit many more times in the future. This is how the Bikkuri Donkey hamburger tradition will continue to the next generation. "Late night dining" but "getting tired of fast food," for me, a better option is the well-known "Bikkuri Donkey Naganuma Store" in Hokkaido. Located at 4-12-4 Naganuma, Asahikawa City. Open 24 hours, no holidays. Smoking allowed, parking available. There are so many choices, but on a weekday, trying to keep the budget in check while still wanting to eat a lot, I opted for the basic regular burger dish (150g) with a large salad and rice. By choosing the plain menu without any toppings, I was able to truly enjoy and confirm the deliciousness of the basic hamburger once again. It was juicy, tasty, and satisfying, just right. And then, the impressive product lineup of Bikkuri Donkey crept into the gap in my thrifty heart... (laughs) Mont Blanc parfait for 537 yen tax included. Well, there goes the purpose of having a basic meal (^_^;) But, you can't resist seasonal items, right? Family restaurants are good for affordable parfaits. The taste may not be exceptional or unique, but I could feel a somewhat autumn-like flavor, so I'm okay with it.
