I've always wanted to eat simmered pork belly, and it was so tender that it could be cut with chopsticks. The moment it entered my mouth, it melted. The flavor was rich and incredibly delicious. For dinner, I went to a Japanese izakaya. The lunch menu offers a variety of options that can be ordered individually. It's also a great place for a date. I ordered the slowly simmered pork belly with a soft-boiled egg for 2000 yen. Rice refill is free. When entering, you need to take off your shoes, so it's best to wear easy-to-remove footwear. Despite the cold weather, the floor was warm due to underfloor heating. There are table seats and counter seats, and if you are used to dining alone, you may be able to enter faster as a solo diner (although it may be a bit challenging). On weekends at 10:45 am, I was the 8th person in line. You can wait on a bench until the 6th person. To get in on the first round, I recommend lining up by 11 am on weekends (there were nearly 40 people in line 30 minutes before). I made a reservation and visited the restaurant at night. It was about a 6-minute walk from Daikanyama Station and located on the basement floor, so it was easy to find. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a bit dark and calm, which was nice. The dishes had a gentle flavor and were generally delicious, featuring seasonal ingredients. The signature braised pork was not too heavy and tasted great when poured over rice. However, the octopus and edamame mixed rice was a bit underwhelming compared to my expectations.

I went there on a Sunday morning and had to wait for about an hour due to the incredible line. Most of the staff members were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was stylish and relaxing, which I really liked. I understood why there was such a long line. The grilled mackerel dish I had, called "Yuan Yaki," offered a delicious taste of mackerel like I had never experienced before. The fact that you can eat as much rice as you want is also a nice touch. I definitely want to go back soon for a repeat visit.

A store that always has a line. Visited during a day off. Even on weekdays, there were about 10 people waiting in line on the stairs leading to the basement. The inside of the store was dimly lit with a nice atmosphere. I had the pork belly stew set meal with miso soup. The seaweed and miso were a nice touch. The rice was warm and had a firm texture with a hint of sweetness. The pork belly stew had a subtle sweetness compared to others, and the meat was tender and melted in my mouth. Delicious!

I visited this restaurant on a typhoon day because there is always a long line during lunchtime. As expected, I was able to enter without lining up. I ordered the braised pork set meal and the deep-fried young chicken set meal. It took a little while for the food to come out. The reviews were very good, so I had high expectations, but it was disappointing. The braised pork was not as melt-in-your-mouth as some reviews had mentioned, it was just average. The deep-fried chicken was also just average. By the time I finished eating, I was already tired of it. I think it's good for men. On my way back, despite it being a typhoon day, there was still a long line forming. I don't think this is a restaurant worth waiting in line for.

Arrived on a regular weekday, Wednesday, at 11:27. There was already a line, stretching from the underground shops to the furniture store on the first floor. I was surprised to see it this crowded on a weekday! According to Tabelog, the restaurant has over 70 seats! I thought I would be able to get in on the first round, so I decided to wait in line. We were gradually guided into the restaurant after it opened at 11:30, and since I was alone, I was seated at the counter at 11:37. I think I just made it in time. By the time I sat down, there were already more than 10 people lined up behind me. Although I was curious about the pork belly, the reviews on Tabelog were not that impressive, so I opted for the daily special set meal. After sitting down for a bit, they brought me cold green tea, so I quickly placed my order. It arrived in about 20 minutes. The daily special that day was chicken tempura with grated radish in a dipping sauce. The set meal included miso soup, pickles, simmered hijiki seaweed, a mysterious tofu-like dish (not egg tofu), the main dish, and rice. Apparently, rice was refillable. The mysterious tofu-like dish was yellow and sweet, maybe made from corn? It had wasabi on top and was delicious. The chicken tempura was different from the Oita-style tempura, with lightly seasoned chicken tempura dipped in a slightly sweet tempura sauce. It was crispy and tasted great with the tempura sauce. The rice was not freshly cooked, but it was still delicious. The miso soup had seaweed in it, and the pickles were incredibly tasty - I wanted more. I didn't need a rice refill and left feeling satisfied. To have such a delicious Japanese lunch for 1300 yen in Tokyo seems like a good deal. But is it worth waiting in line for this long...? It was a weekday lunch, so the turnover seemed decent. By the time I left around 12:20, there was still a line stretching to the first floor.

Visited the restaurant with the expectation of having good reviews. Arrived around 11:30 am on a weekday and there was only one group ahead of us in line. We were lucky to only wait for about 10 minutes before being seated. During the wait, we enjoyed a bottle of beer. When our food arrived, we ordered the braised pork set meal. The rice was cooked perfectly and the braised pork was delicious. However, the side dishes and miso soup were a bit lacking. Overall, a place worth trying out!

I visited for lunch on a weekday after taking a half day off. I arrived a little after 12:30 and was able to get a table within a few minutes. The daily special was already sold out, so I ordered the braised pork belly set. Everything was delicious, but I think the braised pork belly could be improved a bit (the fat was tasty, but the meat was a bit tough). The staff were well-trained, and I hope they continue to strive for excellence to remain a popular restaurant.

I went for lunch once and was impressed, so I made a dinner reservation and visited. Honestly, I wasn't as impressed as I was with the lunch. I was really looking forward to the rice in the o-hitsu, but it didn't have the freshly cooked feel like the lunch did, and I couldn't really feel the individual grains of rice. For the salad, next time I think I'll go for the shrimp salad instead of the seaweed salad!

I visited for lunch on a regular Monday and there were many young female customers, probably due to summer vacation. I arrived around 13:30 and there were 7 or 8 groups waiting in line. I had the sashimi lunch, which was fresh and the rice was beautiful, very delicious.

The atmosphere and the food are both amazing! I made a reservation and I'm looking forward to it. The food and drinks are really delicious. I think it's a great place for a date. I wanted to try the corn rice dish, but it seems to be limited to lunch time only, so I'll have to come back during the day for a rematch!

I finally visited a shop that I had been curious about! The lunch set is buzzing, but I came for dinner due to work. It was convenient to be able to make a reservation for dinner. There were so many menu options that I had a hard time deciding what to order, and ended up ordering too much and overeating haha. The yuba dumplings were soft and creamy, and really delicious! I want to try the braised pork next time. All three side dishes for the rice were delicious, but personally, I think the dried small fish was the best! I want to visit again! Next time, I want to try the simmered mixed rice. Thank you for the meal!

I have been interested in this restaurant for almost 10 years. Finally, I was able to get my revenge after missing out on lunch the last time I visited. I lined up before opening and got in on the first rotation. I ordered the tempura and sashimi set meal (2500 yen). The rice served in a wooden tub was fluffy and very delicious! The side dishes had a comforting and gentle flavor, and were tasty. The braised pork belly, a classic dish, also looked delicious.

I made a reservation for a course and it was amazing. Each dish was incredibly delicious, and the rice was so good that my friends and I were impressed, saying "I didn't know rice could be this delicious!" The dashi for the ochazuke was incredibly tasty, and I am truly satisfied. The course was around 5000 yen, but I would gladly pay double for it, as I think it's a great deal. I will definitely visit again in the fall!

I had the pork belly simmered in soy sauce with a half-boiled egg lunch set for 2000 yen here. After ordering, I waited for about 15 minutes before the pork belly was served, which was very delicious with plenty of fat on top. The flavor paired perfectly with the tasty rice, and the sauce was so good that it would be a waste to leave any behind. I wanted to take it home because it was so delicious. The miso soup also had a special touch to it, making it a delicious part of the meal. This lunch is worth waiting in line for, so I recommend giving it a try.

After a long time, I came to Daikanyama and got off at the station. The atmosphere was nice, and I thought to myself that I would like to live in a place like this while walking for about 4.5 minutes to the restaurant. I ordered the Braised Pork Belly Set Meal (with free refills of white rice). First, I tried the white rice. A good restaurant is judged by how good their white rice is. And this one was just that. They probably cook it in a gas pot, and the quality and texture of the rice - the "teethiness" - were high. The braised pork belly was delicious, as expected. The seasoning was not too heavy, and it could be eaten as it is. The pork belly had just the right amount of fat, not too fatty, with a good ratio of lean meat. I think anyone who goes there will be satisfied.

Visited on the first day of a three-day weekend. Arrived around 11:30 and there was quite a long line. Waited for about 1 hour and 20 minutes before being seated for our meal. Ordered two servings of the braised pork belly set without hesitation. It was tender and delicious, but I've been feeling that meat dishes are getting a bit heavy for me lately. Despite getting a bit tired of the flavors, we managed to finish our meals. Honestly, I don't think it was worth the long wait just to eat here. By the time we finished, it was almost 2 pm and the restaurant was much less crowded. I would recommend going for a late lunch. However, as we were leaving, we noticed a sign saying that lunch service had already ended...

Arrived at the restaurant at 11 am on Saturday. Even though it's an underground restaurant, there was already a line extending to the first floor. It seemed like about 70% of the customers were women. I was prepared for this, so I got in line at the back. Within just 10 minutes, there were about 10 people behind me in line. It used to be that I could casually drop in for lunch on a weekday, but now it's like this. Feeling a bit anxious about whether I would be in the first group, I waited with my friend and the line started moving at 30 minutes past the opening time. We finally got into the restaurant around 11:50 am. Inside, it was spacious with dim lighting, creating a mature and calm atmosphere. Our hot rice and side dishes were served in about 15 minutes. Both my friend and I had the young chicken tempura set meal. The tempura was crispy and juicy, and the side dishes were all carefully prepared and delicious. It had been about 3 years since I last saw my friend, so we enjoyed a leisurely meal while catching up. Thank you for the delicious meal.
