The HBC Asahikawa Director retired, so a celebration banquet was held. Due to the state of emergency, it was postponed until now. I've been to KIKUZEN Ishiyaki Steak Kikuzen before, but this was my first visit to the new Teppanyaki KIKUZEN on the 4th floor of a new building. It was a private room, and we were a group of 4, but it felt like we could have sat closer together. The attendees included Yamamoto, the Vice President of the Yamamoto Building, Okude, the former HBC Director, and Matsuda, who is involved in the production of a travel show. I felt honored to be invited among such distinguished guests. The meal started with appetizers, which were delicious. The chef started cooking on the iron plate, and we eagerly awaited what would be served next. The salmon butter was succulent, and the grilled vegetables were delightful. The highlight was the tenderloin and sirloin beef, which we enjoyed with various seasonings. The garlic rice was a satisfying end to the meal, followed by delicious miso soup. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce, which provided a nice balance of flavors. We ended the meal with coffee and a group photo. It was a memorable experience, and I look forward to future collaborations with the guests. I can't wait to enjoy good meat again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Last year, I enjoyed a 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink and stone-grilled steak at the reasonable Kikuzen-san in the same building, and I really want to try it here too! The interior of the restaurant is divided into separate rooms for about 4 people each, with separate teppanyaki grills and chefs. It definitely has a luxurious feel and maintains social distancing. I opted for the most reasonable course, the "Ruri" course with 7 dishes for 6000 yen (excluding tax), and ordered a few glasses of sake. The appetizers were delicious, especially the deep-fried smelt with original mayo and olive oil sauce, and the sweet Chishima chicken simmered in black vinegar soy sauce. The teppanyaki preparation started with a variety of colorful salads, cold consomme soup with small shrimp, and seasonal grilled vegetables. The highlight was the black wagyu beef loin (150g) cooked to perfection on the thick teppanyaki grill. It was tender and flavorful, served with scallion salt, mountain wasabi, and special sauce. The portion was quite large, so I ended up feeling a bit heavy halfway through and switched to red wine. The garlic rice, dessert, and coffee that followed were satisfying, with a standout blue cheese gelato that I would love to buy in bulk. Overall, the course was delicious, but I hope to try the 18000 yen course with spiny lobster someday.

I was taken to Teppanyaki Steak KIKUZEN. The interior of the restaurant is filled with a sense of luxury, starting from the counter-based seating arrangement, which sets it apart from others. Since it is a teppanyaki steak restaurant, the chef prepares all the dishes in front of you, although I didn't manage to take photos of everything. It's a space where you can enjoy various conversations while sipping wine, and the service is excellent. I chose the fillet over the sirloin, and it was tender and flavorful. It tasted even better when dipped in truffle salt! The uni fried rice is made with plenty of luxurious sea urchin. I recommend this atmosphere for dates and anniversaries. Thank you for the meal.

The alcohol, meat, and shrimp were all delicious. The staff were attentive, the atmosphere was quiet, and smoking was allowed because it was a weekday. The appetizers had fancy names that were hard to understand, but everything else was tasty. However, the prices felt a bit high for the average person. This is definitely a restaurant to go to for a date with a woman!
