I had always wanted to visit the reptile bar Gorgon, but I had some reservations about going to a bar with reptiles. However, I finally made it to Gorgon on this day for our third round of drinks. Thanks to information from reviewers who had been there before, I was able to come. I enjoyed two glasses of Macallan 12 on the rocks, which were delicious as always. I used to buy it before, but I haven't been drinking it at home lately, so having it outside occasionally is satisfying. This time, I enjoyed my drinks while watching the reptiles. For snacks, I had grasshoppers, rock chocolates, and various nuts. Grasshoppers have a unique flavor, while nuts and chocolate are more common and popular. The back bar at Gorgon shines in emerald green. They also have a good selection of whiskies, and you can enjoy your drinks while observing the reptiles, and in some cases, even interact with them. I saw a tarantula, but I didn't want to touch it. As a side note, someone ordered a drink with hornets in it, which reminded me of the time I saw a lot of hornets in a PET bottle trap near a mountain gate. They said the poison was removed, but it still looked gross. If you're interested, I recommend trying it. It's a unique bar with reptiles and insects, so I might visit Gorgon again in the future. A reptile-filled bar just as it is. I had been to a similar concept place in the past and it was dark, so I had that kind of image, but when I entered, it was very bright!!! The first thing that catches your eye is a showcase that looks like a pet shop. The counter is long, and you can see snakes, geckos, etc. up close. There's even a white snake for good luck! Even at the table seats, there are geckos nearby. You can even touch them. If you come here, you have to order the hornet-lemon sour!!! I had a sip. My companion (-_-) "Excuse me! There's a bug in this!" The visual was so clear that it made you want to say that. A fairly large hornet... I had a Ballantine 12-year highball. The whiskey lineup is to my liking. The charm included delicious nuts and my favorite rock chocolate. The fried crickets we ordered were served. I tried eating them, but I discreetly spit them out quickly... The texture was tough. Reptile Bar Gorgon - I was brought to this place because it wasn't listed on Tabelog. The indirect lighting is very bright. The place is neat, but it's filled with reptiles. I don't mind them, but snakes are a bit too much for me... I ordered a Cassis Orange for some reason. It was not watered down and quite delicious. The appetizer was nuts with chocolate pebbles on the bottom. Once I started eating the chocolate pebbles, I couldn't stop. Fried crickets were served, but they lacked salt. Located on the 4th floor of the Noguchi Building facing Minami 6-jo Street in Susukino, Sapporo's Chuo Ward, this building houses various good shops. I visited for a second round of drinks based on information from a Tabelog member. I had been avoiding it before because I wasn't thrilled about the idea of a reptile bar (laughs). Taking the elevator to the 4th floor of the building, I noticed an illustration of the shop's name on the entrance wall. It's Medusa, right? As some background knowledge... Medusa is a monster from Greek mythology, one of the three Gorgon sisters. Her name means "queen." Her sisters are Stheno ("strong woman") and Euryale ("wandering woman" or "flying woman"). Inside, the back bar is lit with a soft green light. There are counter seats and table seats, and at the time, there were no other customers, so it felt like a private reservation. There are many reptiles, such as lizards and snakes, in glass cases. They were smaller and cuter than I expected, which changed my impression. Perhaps it was because they looked nice under the lighting. According to a fellow reviewer, you can even hold or touch them. Hello everyone! After the French birthday celebration, where should we go for the second party? Let's go to "Gorgon Bar," where they offer 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink for 3,500 yen on Sundays. It's perfect for getting a bit tipsy on wine and birthday celebrations. I've already made a reservation by phone, and the green lights at the counter are a distinctive feature. We'll have some highballs to start! The charm of this place is the nuts on the table, and there are snakes, large lizards, turtles, and newts relaxing in brightly lit tanks around the table seating. It's a bar run by a pet shop, so the tanks are always clean and well-maintained. You won't feel scared or disgusted at all, just think "it's beautiful." I especially love reptile bags, so I feel right at home here. The master offered to let us touch one, and we met a cute little gecko named Yamo. It had a smooth texture, no stickiness or smell, and was just adorable. We were also served fried grasshoppers as a complimentary snack, which turned out to be like old, overcooked shrimp. Not the tastiest, but it gave us confidence that we could eat insects if we were ever stranded on a deserted island. The all-you-can-drink menu is extensive, and this bar is great for small groups or even solo second parties. I definitely want to come back to see my favorite Yamo again.
