I decided to go out with my colleague to find a place to eat meat. We were considering yakiniku, shabu-shabu, or steak. Hmm, not a bad idea, but it seems a bit lacking in variety. So, we wanted to challenge ourselves and try something new. After some consideration, we chose "Sheep Charcoal Grill Nikujuya" in Shinbashi. It had been a while since we had eaten lamb, so it seemed like a good choice. We arrived at the restaurant at the reserved time. The place was already crowded and lively with customers. "Please put your jackets and belongings in the plastic bags under the table to reduce the smell of smoke." Indeed, the smoke from the lamb being grilled by the other customers was filling the restaurant. Since I wasn't wearing a jacket, I just put my belongings in the plastic bag and started the feast. "Our recommendation is the raw lamb here." "Okay, we'll have the raw lamb for the number of people. And also, one raw beer per person." We started with a toast with beer. Cold beer in the middle of summer is delicious! Before the meat arrived, I finished my first beer and moved on to the second one. "Here you go, the raw lamb. Please grill both sides for 30 seconds each and enjoy it rare inside." I see. So that's why it's called raw lamb. As instructed, I lightly seared the surface before eating. Wow, it's delicious! I really like lamb. I realized that once again, haha. The slightly marbled lamb meat tasted sweet when eaten rare. It was as delicious as, if not better than, beef yakiniku. I noticed a menu item that caught my eye. What would a "T-bone steak" be like? "Excuse me, is the T-bone steak also lamb?" "Yes, all the meats on the menu are lamb. The T-bone steak has the fillet and sirloin on both sides of the bone, similar to beef. After grilling both sides over charcoal, we cut it in the kitchen and bring it back to you. Please sear the surface again before eating." "Oh, then I'll have the T-bone steak, please." After the explanation, there was no choice but to try it. And it looked delicious. After a while, a large piece of bone-in meat was brought to the table. I grilled it on the hot plate as instructed. When it was ready, the staff took the bone-in meat to the kitchen. Then, they brought it back to the table with cuts for easy eating. It was a fun and hearty meal. It felt like time flew by quickly during the enjoyable feast. After two hours, our time was up. It was a short but exciting lamb festival. Since there were customers waiting for a table, we promptly left. Thank you for the meal!
