I ordered 8 regular takoyaki without mayonnaise and with red sausages. For drinks, I had Chin Chin Rorin Highball and upgraded to Mega Highball every 3 odd rounds and to 100 yen Highball every even round. The takoyaki was still deliciously gooey as always. Thank you for the meal.

On 2023/06/26/MON, I went to Takoyaki and Highball Tanukikoji 2-chome store and had 8 pieces of delicious Takoyaki with rich sauce for 560 yen. Originally, I was planning to enjoy beer at a beer garden, but I was invited here instead. It was a hot day, so it was nice that Tanukikoji had a roof. The "rich sauce 8 pieces" were amazing! Tanukikoji Main Store is located in 4-chome, but it's almost identical to the others and hard to tell apart. The inside of the restaurant allows smoking, but outside is non-smoking, which is great since Tanukikoji is non-smoking, making it convenient. There's even an open terrace! The restaurant is always crowded, with almost every seat taken, but the staff will come outside to assist you. I ordered a "Highball" and it came quickly with a snack to go with it. The snack was a bold choice - just some snack chips. It's a clever idea though, easy to eat and goes well with drinks. The octopus balls were delicious, a classic style different from the typical greasy ones. The "Octopus Wiener" was a red wiener with mayo and seaweed. The "Cucumber Skewer" was salty and went well with the Highball. I took a bit of a risk with the "Kujo Negi Mayo," but it turned out to be tasty with the added aroma of chopped leeks. I was going to order another Highball, but the staff recommended trying "Chinchirorin" for a better deal, and I ended up getting a discounted Highball. Snacking on chips and octopus balls outside, playing Chinchirorin, and enjoying discounted drinks made it feel like a fun fair atmosphere. I left satisfied and happy with the delicious meal. We went to the second bar in Susukino for drinks! We received the shop's original snacks as a complimentary appetizer. Since there were two of us, we got two of the snacks in the photo! They were served on a cute takoyaki boat plate! However, we completely forgot to order the soy sauce takoyaki we wanted to eat that day, and it took about 20 minutes for it to finally arrive. It was even more awkward because the takoyaki that was mistakenly brought to another table ended up at ours. They also didn't let us play the Chinchirorin game with our highballs, and the staff's service attitude was not great. I don't think I'll be coming back again.

I went at 3:30 PM because it's always crowded and I can't get in! Even on a Friday, there were still quite a few people. It was good that there were other menu items besides takoyaki. I was surprised that Genghis Khan was used in the meat for the yakisoba! It was really delicious. The staff were all very kind and it was easy to order drinks too.

Today, I went day drinking with a friend at a bar in Sapporo. They had a lunch set for 1000 yen which included two drinks and a choice of either two appetizers or four pieces of takoyaki. We chose the takoyaki with different flavors. The drinks were refreshing and the takoyaki was hot and delicious. Late-night snack at my favorite "Tako to Highball" restaurant - Tanuki-koji 2-chome branch. Ordered the Kujou negi mayo takoyaki (8 pieces) for ¥660. Visited on February 23, 2023, started with a visit to Nijo Market and ended up bar hopping. Seems like I can't just go to one place... I must be sick... It's been a while since I came here. [Octopus and Highball] Went into the shop and after a while, the waitress started talking to me. She remembered me from the last time I was here and I was surprised (laughs). It seems like... I was drunk and talking about my beloved dog. Sorry about that... but thank you for listening. I had a great time again this time. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Chinchirorin Highball twice and got a half-price discount the first time, and a 1/4 discount the second time, which was quite a deal. But I feel really sorry about it. Next time, I'll drink more before heading home (lol). I had a satisfying meal with my favorite two-color mixed plate. It was a lively atmosphere with customers getting drunk from noon. The takoyaki here is excellent, especially the mentaiko mayonnaise flavor. The cost performance is great, so I definitely want to come back here again.

I went a little crazy at karaoke (lol) and got hungry, so Y said she wanted to eat ramen. We searched but couldn't decide where to go, finally found this place and came here. Isn't this a bit backwards (lol)? Plus, it's a place known for octopus and highballs, but we ended up ordering beer and yakisoba (lol). The noodles were firm and the seasoning was delicious!! It felt like we rolled dice and got some candy. So next time, I want to try the takoyaki.

At Tanuki Komichi, I had a great time enjoying ladder drinks. Around 1:00 PM, the place was crowded with customers. I sat at the counter and ordered a highball. I rolled the dice, and if I got a double, I would only have to pay 100 yen. Surprisingly, I rolled a double 5! I also ordered a recommended octopus ball platter with two types: Kujo Negi Mayo and Fuwa Tamago Mentaiko, both were delicious and creamy. The complimentary snack was a nice touch, and I was able to take it home. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you!

On the first day of the three-day weekend, there was a crowded event at Odori Park that made it hard to believe we were in the midst of a pandemic. After finally managing to escape the crowd, I found myself in the mood for some street food. As I walked through the arcade, I came across a place that had caught my eye before and decided to give it a try. The outdoor seating area was lively even during the day. I used the hand sanitizer provided on the right side of the store and was quickly shown to my seat by the efficient female staff. They recommended trying the Chinchirorin with my highball, so I rolled the dice and got an odd number. It was a great way to start the afternoon! I ordered takoyaki with a rich and tasty sauce and mentaiko mayo. The octopus balls had a soft and fluffy texture. As a beginner in Hokkaido cuisine, I also ordered Sapporo yakisoba for a bit of a learning experience. The thick noodles, lamb meat, and potatoes were a nice touch that complemented my highball perfectly. It's a place that even solo diners would feel comfortable in!

After having lunch and doing some shopping, I passed by Tanukikoji 4-chome and saw a takoyaki shop with many customers. The takoyaki looked delicious, but it was crowded. I remembered there was another shop on 2-chome, so I headed there. As expected, there were seats available on 2-chome. I sat at the counter and looked at the weekday lunch menu. It was nice that it came with two drinks. I found a lemon sour with a focus on the bar. I decided on this drink and ordered takoyaki as my snack. The staff asked if I wanted 4 pieces of takoyaki, so I went with that. For my other snack, I chose garlic shrimp. The lemon sour arrived quickly, and I enjoyed its refreshing taste. The takoyaki arrived hot and fluffy, different from the crispy ones I usually get for takeout. The takoyaki was delicious with a generous amount of octopus. The lemon sour complemented the flavors well. Soon after, the garlic shrimp arrived, and I was warned that it was hot. The dish also had octopus in it, adding to the flavor. I ordered a grapefruit sour for my second drink, and it was just as good as the lemon sour. It's always tastier to drink at the bar than at home because of the stronger carbonation. I wished they had bread to go with the garlic shrimp. Both the takoyaki and garlic shrimp went well with the drinks. It's a great place for a quick drink and snack during the day. I would definitely visit again if I happen to pass by.

Weekdays only until 3pm, you can get the "daytime drinking set" with 2 drinks for 1000 yen. For food, you can choose from: 1. 8 pieces of takoyaki, 2. 2 appetizers, or 3. 4 pieces of takoyaki and 1 appetizer. The "Green Tea Highball" is a must-try! It's a strong green tea flavor! It's a shame that beer is not included though. I wanted to try both, so I ordered the takoyaki and appetizer set. The "vinegar octopus" came out quickly. The legs are quite large, and the acidity is not too strong. Among the 8 types of takoyaki, I chose the "salted octopus" with plenty of mayo. It was too much for me, so I had to remove some mayo with chopsticks, which also took away the salt. The size is normal, but the inside was empty. The hollow part is the work of a master craftsman. The staff members get along very well, chatting endlessly. It was cold and noisy due to the draft, so I left quickly after finishing my meal. Thank you for the meal!

- Dashi Takoyaki (4 pieces) - Yakisoba - Crispy Soy Sauce Octopus Balls (4 pieces) We decided to try the tourist course of going up the TV Tower and seeing the Clock Tower during the free period. We had to wait in line for a bit. We started feeling a bit hungry, so we ordered some food. We didn't need to order drinks, so we just got something to satisfy our hunger. The yakisoba had a thick, chewy noodle with a slightly strong flavor and some Genghis Khan meat mixed in. The dashi takoyaki was like dipping the balls in noodle soup. The crispy soy sauce octopus balls were basically like eating with chili oil. It made me miss the normal takoyaki a bit. I realized that unlike Gindaco, the batter here doesn't have much flavor and the seasoning is on the lighter side. That's probably why they have a variety of toppings to enhance the taste. It might be nice to have some regular takoyaki as a little snack when you're not quite satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

When walking along Tanuki Koji from 1st Avenue, you often rediscover interesting shops you didn't notice before. Passing by quaint cafes and intriguing curry restaurants, as you enter 2nd Avenue, the area becomes even more lively. People are happily enjoying drinks during the day, while still being conscious of wearing masks and maintaining caution. On this day, the mission was to have a daytime drink exclusively on Tanuki Koji! Upon entering the restaurant, two counter seats right in front of the teppanyaki grill were available. After sanitizing with alcohol, we took our seats. We ordered a highball, which had a special discount based on the roll of a dice in a "Chinchirorin" promotion for the anniversary. - Order - Otoshi (appetizer) x2: 310 yen Highball x2: 380 yen Chinchirorin discount -100 yen x2 Takoyaki duo plate: 750 yen Total: 1930 yen The appetizer was takoyaki-flavored rice crackers, which were unnecessary but we nibbled on them while waiting. We didn't win in Chinchirorin but still got a discount. Watching the takoyaki being skillfully cooked in front of us, we enjoyed our drinks. Soon, our takoyaki arrived - a duo plate with half topped with Kujyo green onions and the other half with mayo and mentaiko. We savored the hot takoyaki with big octopus chunks, crispy on the outside and creamy inside. It was delicious, especially paired with the highball. Tanuki Koji was still bright and bustling, with some people in interesting costumes - was it Halloween? Slowly but surely, life seems to be returning to normal. Peace is a wonderful thing. - Sapporo Classic Beer Garden - Tako and Highball Tanuki Koji 2-chome Store - Inari - Yakitori Samasama Starting from the Sapporo Classic Beer Garden, we moved to the second location, Tako and Highball Tanuki Koji 2-chome Store. We hit the jackpot with a Chinchirorin Highball! The fluffy and piping hot takoyaki was delicious, paired with a refreshing Highball. We finished off with dashi octopus!

Arrived around 6:30 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was about 80% full. Visited with a friend for a second round of drinks. The main branch is also located in the 4th block of Tanukikoji. Currently, there are a total of 17 stores nationwide, managed by a company in Nagano. Upon entering, hand sanitization was requested, and a paper mask holder with the logo was provided. There were 3 male and female staff members. The complimentary dish was "octopus-flavored rice crackers". It's interesting how octopus-flavored snacks taste like pickled ginger. I don't usually drink highballs, but I ordered a "Strong Carbonated Angle Highball (small)" (380 yen) as they say, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." The whiskey wasn't too strong, and the carbonation was just right. The food we ordered included: - Kujo Negi Salt Takoyaki (4 pieces) (410 yen) Simple and traditional takoyaki that you can order from 4 pieces. - Shinshu Miso Mayo Takoyaki (4 pieces) (400 yen) Limited time offer. The sweet and rich miso flavor with shichimi chili pepper goes well with the takoyaki. - Octopus Kimchi (420 yen) Octopus and kimchi grilled on a hot plate. The large octopus was chewy and delicious! It was a satisfyingly delicious meal. Perfect for a second round of drinks. I forgot the total bill, but I think it was around 1000 yen per person. Will definitely visit again!

Visited "Sapporo Tanuki Koji Main Store" but it was full. Almost gave up, but remembered seeing another store near 2-chome, so decided to visit there. It was crowded, but managed to get in. Already had takoyaki and highball in my mouth, so naturally ordered a highball for my drink. When looking at the menu, I noticed they had a "Chinchirolin" highball. Had to try it. When I shook it, got a "5" and a "6". The rule here is that if the total is an odd number, you get a 30 yen discount for a Mega Highball at 630 yen. Even numbers are half off at 190 yen. If it's a double number, it's 100 yen. If it's a triple number, you get a commemorative photo and a Gig Highball for 1,260 yen. There were many commemorative photos on the wall. Since I planned to have two drinks anyway, it's a win-win situation. The appetizer was "arare", two bags per person. Now, the takoyaki. The most popular one was the "Kujyo Negi Mayo and Fluffy Cheese Takoyaki Mix". The takoyaki was covered with plenty of gooey cheese. The hot, gooey cheese was delicious! The takoyaki with Kujyo Negi and mayonnaise was also tasty. Simple but delicious! The mentaiko was naturally delicious too. Finished the takoyaki and the highball in no time. Thank you for the meal. This restaurant is part of a chain with four stores in total, including Namekakecho and Ichibancho in Sendai. I always used to pass by when in Sendai, but it was so good that I might aim to visit all stores.
