Marui's New Year's sale was bustling with people buying lucky bags. There was a long line for bread, so I opted for the less crowded Yuhaim bakery. The Baumkuchen here is delicious and made me feel like I got a good deal. It sold out quickly after that.

This is Yuheim located in the basement of Marui Imai Hakodate. It feels like the only place like this in Hakodate. I like Rilakkuma characters, so I bought the Rilakkuma collaboration mille-feuille chocolate in a cute tin can. The contents are the same, but the can is just so cute.

I have loved the Frankfurter Kranz from Yuhaim since I was a child. It was a special treat that my mother used to buy for me on special occasions, so I think that adds to my positive impression of it. I still love it to this day. This cake uses buttercream which helps it last longer. I tend to eat it quickly and finish it in no time, but I think the taste has remained the same over the years. The Frankfurter Kranz is my favorite, but the Baumkuchen, which is also popular at Yuhaim, is delicious too.
