The former Violet Cafe has been taken over and turned into a witch's house, now run by a female owner. She is hardworking and has recently started serving lunch on weekends starting from November. It was her dream to run an obanzai (Japanese side dish) restaurant, and you can enjoy delicious obanzai there. This time, I had the obanzai assortment. The menu will be changed regularly to keep it interesting, so I am looking forward to going again. The obanzai assortment costs 1,000 yen. Currently, tea is served in a pot for 500 yen, but they are planning to introduce a lunch drink special.

This is a review of a restaurant called Sumire. I visited here because there was a long line and I enjoy eating while drinking alcohol. There was some resistance due to the naming, but I decided to give it a try. The private rooms were crowded with groups, but I sat alone at the counter. I ordered ramen right away and added potato salad later, which was delicious. However, the ramen itself was disappointing. It wasn't hot overall, perhaps because it was brought from the bottom? There was no oil on the surface, and the hotness of the soup underneath was also lacking. Despite ordering the chashu ramen, the toppings were also lacking. There is no trace of the delicious ramen that I used to enjoy at Sumire. It seems like it has become just an ordinary ramen, swallowed up by commercialism.

Convenient location for large second parties. The back of the store has a spacious private room, but don't reserve it in advance because it's glass-walled! Originally, it wasn't my own store, but somehow my name became well known and people refer to it by name now, even though I don't come here often. Today, let's end the day by ordering ramen from "Sumire." Some of the participants are here just for this! I ordered the rare "shoyu ramen" today. The ramen that arrived was unmistakably Muranaka-style, but Sumire's taste has become milder recently, which I find easier and happier to eat! It seems like there's less oil too... I suspected the noodles were from Nishiyama Seimen, but a staff member confirmed that it's a fact, not a suspicion! Truly a part of the same restaurant group! My stomach originally found this ramen to be a bit heavy, so the milder taste is welcome! I feel like I'll be eating here more often in the future (^-^) Thank you for the meal (^o^)

There is a bar called "Laviolette Sumire" on the 7th floor of the building where "Sumire" ramen shop is located in Susukino. It is run by the same owner as the ramen shop, and has a stylish counter with a glass-walled separate room at the back to accommodate group customers. This time, I enjoyed all-you-can-drink and karaoke here! After singing a lot, when it was time to leave, we ordered ramen from Sumire on the 2nd floor. I ordered the "Miso Half" ramen, and it was delicious as expected! Even though it was a half portion, I didn't feel unwell afterwards and enjoyed it. If you plan to finish with ramen, this could be a good option. Thank you for the meal!

After drinking in Susukino, I decided to follow a senior colleague who suggested going for ramen. We stopped at a building and took the elevator to the 7th floor, where there was a bar called "Sumire" that serves ramen. I ordered a half ramen with bourbon in hand, and it was surprisingly good. The taste was the same as the original Sumire store on the 2nd floor. I usually prefer miso ramen, but this time I tried the soy sauce ramen. The ramen here is known for being extremely hot, so don't worry about it getting cold. They charge a table fee and drinks, so it may not be the most cost-effective option for just ramen. However, it's a great place to take people from the mainland and they will appreciate it. It was delicious. Note: This place may be a members-only establishment, as it seems that non-members are not allowed in.
