I want to eat delicious meat lol so I came here. Among the many yakiniku restaurants in Monzen, only Gyuwaka Honeten has high ratings on websites like Tabelog, making it a must-visit spot in Monzen. I made a reservation in advance through Tabelog and visited the restaurant on Sunday at 6:30 pm. The restaurant had some space available, and I was guided to a sunken kotatsu-style seating area. I ordered the following items: - Premium 3 kinds platter ¥5980 - Marinated Kalbi 120g ¥1280 - Butsugiri Steak 200g ¥1980 - Gyuwaka Salad ? - Oil Kimchi ? - Yukkejang Kuppa ¥1280 - Sudachi Cold Noodles ¥980 - Beer (draft) 2 glasses ? - Shandy Gaff ? I forgot the prices of some items, but the total bill was ¥16060. The premium platter included Zabuton, Rib Core, and Upper Ichibo, but the served meat was Makiri, Rib Core, and Hiuchi. Although it was different from the menu description, I was lucky to receive rare cuts of meat. The Rib Core was a premium and rare cut with a fine marbling, tender texture, and a perfect balance of fat and rich flavor. Hiuchi, also known as Tomosankaku, is a rare cut from the hind leg area, offering a juicy and flavorful experience. Makiri is a rare cut that wraps around the Rib Core, providing a juicy and delicious taste. The marinated Kalbi, Butsugiri Steak, Yukkejang Kuppa, and Sudachi Cold Noodles were all satisfying and delicious. The restaurant is conveniently located near the station, in a quiet area away from noisy crowds, allowing guests to enjoy high-quality meat in a calm atmosphere. Despite the lack of Yukke, a must-have for raw meat lovers, this is still a top-notch restaurant worth visiting again and again.

I recommend arriving early for the Saturday lunch special, as they only have 5 tables available. I visited at 10:40 am and ordered the 1st round lunch set for 1,200 yen. It included 100g of Omi beef (seemed like more), rice (free large serving), salad, kimchi, appetizer (beef tendon stew), one meat dish (mini hamburger), wakame soup, and oolong tea. The Omi beef had various cuts and the lean meat was delicious. Eating meat grilled over charcoal is the best. I don't know of a better yakiniku lunch than this.

I was looking for a new yakiniku restaurant where I can visit once a month and I found one. I arrived after 6 pm and by the time I left, the restaurant was full and had a 2-hour time limit for each table. The restaurant specializes in Omi beef. Here is what I ordered: - Fresh kimchi - Assorted namul - Beef tendon - Fresh beef tongue - Beef and deer meat platter - Komutan soup We had various drinks as well and the total came to around 14,000 yen for two people. This might be my go-to place for monthly yakiniku. The cost performance is good and the service is quick. The taste of the Komutan soup showed me that they take their work seriously. Thank you for the meal.

All the meat was fresh and delicious. I forgot to take photos, but the lean beef was very tasty with no fat, especially the arm and thigh cuts. The beef liver and beef intestines sashimi were also delicious. The pickled Chinese cabbage kimchi was refreshing and light, with kimchi sauce mixed in, making it easy to eat a lot of meat. I highly recommend it. The chilled noodles with plenty of sudachi citrus were also excellent.

Located just a 1-minute walk from Monzen-Nakacho Station, this yakiniku restaurant has a great location. I didn't have high expectations because it has a casual atmosphere, but I was pleasantly surprised... everything was incredibly delicious! The standout was the fresh kimchi... I definitely want to eat that again. The fresh tongue was also amazing! It was wonderful to be able to enjoy such delicious tongue at a reasonable price. I definitely want to visit again.

I visited the famous yakiniku restaurant, Gyuwaka in Monzen-Nakacho. This place is known as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants and the quality of the meat is excellent. The cost performance is also amazing. We ate and drank to our heart's content with 4 people and it only cost around 8,000 yen per person. It's unbelievably cheap... I highly recommend the tongue meat.

Congratulations on the 600th store review. The yakiniku restaurant in Monzen-Nakacho, known for its Omi beef, was incredibly delicious. The meat here is thickly cut, providing a satisfying and tasty experience. The tongue, in particular, had a slightly thicker cut and a good texture. The atmosphere of this old-fashioned yakiniku restaurant is cozy and welcoming. It's a bit disappointing that the hormone dishes are slightly inferior to the lean meat, but it's definitely worth revisiting. The portions are generous, reservations are relatively easy to make, and it's a great restaurant. The price is around 15,000 yen per person if you eat and drink well.

On a Sunday night, I visited the restaurant after making a same-day reservation. They emphasized that the last order was at 9pm. They seem to use Omi beef. I ordered beef tongue, beef and deer salad, beef and deer platter (kalbi, loin, harami), yukgaejang soup, and rare hormone rice. The beef tongue was thinly sliced and delicious. I was happy to see that they provide real lemons to squeeze, not just lemon juice. The beef and deer platter included popular cuts like kalbi, loin, and harami, with a generous amount for 2-3 people, all for only 3,980 yen, which felt like a great deal. The rare hormone and yukgaejang soup were also delicious. This is a great yakiniku restaurant where you can go without any pretense. It's now on my list of good yakiniku places to visit again!

I'm thinking of starting a yakiniku review, starting with Gyuuwajika. As they handle Omi beef, my expectations are high. First, the thousand-layered meat. It's fresh and the sauce is great! I feel like I could drink endless beers with this. For the meat, I tried the top loin and top harami. The harami is thick with amazing marbling. On the other hand, the top loin, while having nice marbling, lacked flavor. The sauce didn't quite match, and soy sauce with wasabi might be better. It wasn't bad, but considering the price, it felt a bit lacking. I think I would have been more satisfied drinking beer to my heart's content with the thousand-layered meat and guts. Also, as someone who finds sitting cross-legged difficult, the tatami seating was tough for me. It made me realize that at a reachable price range, this kind of experience can happen with yakiniku. Top loin 2,178 yen, top harami 2,618 yen, thousand-layered meat 792 yen, kimchi 550 yen, large rice 418 yen, medium draft beer 748 yen x 2.

I ordered the course menu. There is a wide variety of meat options and namul (Korean seasoned vegetables). The cold noodles at the end are a nice touch to balance out the meal. However, the meat slices were thin and cuts with a lot of fat didn't have much flavor, just felt greasy. Maybe my expectations were too high...

I visited the other day. It was a weekday night, so I was seated right away. It was very close to the station, so I found it easily! The meat was delicious and the staff were friendly. The liver had a good flavor and was enjoyable. In terms of price, it felt neither cheap nor expensive!

It is certainly a specialty and exquisite. By the way, the normal tongue was also very delicious. Both lean and marbled, the deliciousness goes without saying! The hormone was large and had a great chewy texture. Finally, we finished with the famous Sudachi cold noodles. I visited this restaurant for the first time in 4 years since June 2019. It's my third time according to my records on Tabelog, but I have actually been here more than 10 times because it's convenient from my workplace. Today, I met up with colleagues for the first time since the start of the pandemic for a yakiniku dinner. I was excited to catch up with my colleague after such a long time. This is my favorite yakiniku place in Monzen-Nakacho, but they have expanded with another branch in the area, a steak specialty store, and even a branch in Kasai. Impressions: I was completely disappointed as the quality of the meat has clearly declined. The marinated kalbi that I was looking forward to ordering only had 120g portions available instead of the 300g I wanted. The taste was completely different from what I remembered and not delicious at all. Other cuts of meat were also not tasty. The regular kalbi and loin were not available, and the rare cuts were priced high. The only dishes that met my expectations were the hormone intestines and beef tendon stew. They no longer serve the delicious chijimi I remembered, and the kalbi soup was also not available. It seems like the typical case of quality declining with store expansion. There are many reviews praising the cost performance of Omi beef, but I did not find it to be true at all. I was very disappointed and I don't think I will visit this restaurant again. Lunch exploration in the Monzen-Nakacho area. I came across this place while browsing through MyRebi's post and decided to check it out. I had the lunch BBQ for 1200 yen. The location is a 3-minute walk from Monzen-Nakacho Station (Akafudo) exit, on the 2nd floor of a building. There was already a long line when I arrived around 10:50, 40 minutes before opening time. By the time they opened at 11:30, they had sold out due to the large number of customers. I managed to get in during the second batch around noon. The staff were efficient and the quality of the meat was excellent for the price. The beef tendon simmered in soy sauce was also delicious. The mini hamburg steak was a nice bonus. They also served consomme soup, salad, and extra rice for free. Overall, it was a great value for 1200 yen. It's no wonder there was a long line. Thank you for the meal. *Lunch is only available on Saturdays.

I finally visited a yakiniku restaurant in Monzen-nakacho that I've been curious about for a while. The interior of the restaurant was not smoky at all, and the tables were spaced apart nicely. The tables and chairs were clean, making it a yakiniku restaurant where you don't have to worry about the smell sticking to your clothes or hair. They serve A5 grade Omi beef at a reasonable price. I tried the assorted platter, tongue with salt, and top harami, and all of them were delicious, making it a very satisfying evening. In addition, the fresh kimchi was amazing and paired really well as a palate cleanser after the yakiniku. I would love to visit this restaurant again for a special event or as a treat.

I used to visit this place a few times 4-5 years ago, but it's been a while since my last visit. I had a good impression of their delicious kimchi, and it was just as I remembered! I ordered extra raw tongue and green onions on the side, and the portions were generous, which made me happy. There was also something like tongue cartilage in the mix, which was fatty and tasty. The harami (skirt steak) and marinated kalbi (short rib) were delicious, but the hormone (offal) and tripe were too tough to chew, which was disappointing. The soup was on the salty side. I didn't have much time, so I quickly ate and drank, but I wish I could have taken it slow. I didn't find the quality of the meat to be exceptional, but it might depend on what you order. Maybe you need to go for the higher-priced cuts? There are quite a few decent yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) places in this area, so when compared, this one seemed fairly ordinary. If I have the chance, I'll come back for a leisurely meal!

Arrived at the restaurant around 11:40 on Saturday. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a building, and there was a line on the stairs all the way down to the 1st floor. Waited in line for 70 minutes to get in. Order was taken 10 minutes before entering. Ordered the Omi beef lunch for 1200 yen once seated. Immediately served with a cold barley tea in a large cup, green lettuce salad, and kimchi. Asked if I wanted the rice to be regular or large portion, chose large because of the 70-minute wait. Then, the beef tendons, Omi beef, mini hamburger, and soup arrived. The quality of the lunch for 1200 yen was surprisingly high. The Omi beef is grilled on a charcoal stove in the middle of the table. There were different cuts of Omi beef, some with a lot of marbling that melted in the mouth and others with a strong flavor. The beef tendons were rich and tender. The hamburger was firm and well-made. Despite the low price, it was a lunch of extremely high quality. The female staff were efficient, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. It was an excellent lunch. Truly deserving of being a top 100 restaurant.
