This is a series where we explore the western area of 2-4 Jo-dori in Asahikawa, particularly around Akebono. The master exuded a sense of professionalism as he moved briskly around, yet his service was modest. I chose a set meal from their menu, which also offers curry, pilaf, pasta, and light snacks. As I listened absentmindedly to the 70s oldies playing from the speakers known to aficionados, my meal arrived. The portion of meat was adequate for the price, and the sauce was delicious. To my delight, it came with shrimp fry as well, a pleasant surprise. I tried the miso soup, followed by the main dish and rice. Even when I ordered an additional coffee, I received change from a thousand yen. They had a wide variety of pasta options, so I'd like to try that next time I visit. While the taste was average, the ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasant. It exceeded my expectations in a good way.
