After finishing the visit to the graves on the other side, I went to the Autumn Fest at Odori Park. It was incredibly crowded. I was surprised. It felt overwhelming for an elderly couple like us. Wine, sake, highballs! We started with Muroran yakitori. It was a bit chaotic. I enjoy the hustle and bustle. However, I decided to change the location a bit. Then, we went to a seafood izakaya. It's open 24 hours! Can you believe it? Since we were already somewhat full, we decided to just drink without using the grill. Seafood, such as sashimi and grilled dishes, were the main items here. But it's also okay for those who just want to drink. It was a strange atmosphere. The concept has changed, with young men and women running the place. Each table is equipped with a gas stove. It's been a while since I had a daytime drink. It seems like we are in a time where there is more freedom. I'll definitely come back! ❤️

I had a light meal at the chain restaurant Isomaru Suisan. It was crowded and I had to wait for 40 minutes. Since I was in Hokkaido, I wanted to drink Sapporo draft beer, but unfortunately they only had Kirin. The appetizers included cheese kamaboko, satsuma-age, and shishamo, which you cook on the small stove in front of you. I ordered sashimi of tsubugai (whelk) and simmered scallops with tendons. It was great to see them being cooked right in front of me, it made the flavors even better. The tsubugai was also very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Grilling seafood style on the internet. The prices were reasonable and the seafood was fresh, but the table seats were a bit narrow. There was no all-you-can-drink option, only a la carte ordering where you scan a barcode to place your order. The Octopus Wiener was a skinless wiener, which was surprisingly delicious. We ordered about 3-4 drinks each and 4 dishes, and it came out to around 3500 yen per person.

I recently visited Isomaru Suisan, which recently landed in Hokkaido for the first time. In recent years, Sapporo seems to be in a fierce battle of izakaya restaurants. Famous chain yakitori restaurants from outside the prefecture have opened, and high-quality izakaya restaurants with Hokkaido capital have been opening one after another in the past few years. As a fan of izakaya, I am delighted. The strength of this restaurant lies in its "24-hour operation." There are hardly any izakayas that can serve in the morning, even though you can drink during the day. The Sapporo menu is centered around seafood, but they also have fried foods and are an all-rounder izakaya. It's quite good.

Oh, I forgot about Isomaru Suisan that I wanted to see! I have time before the morning opening, so let's go check it out (*^^*) You can also have lunch there, and there are people eating seafood bowls and drinking, creating an interesting atmosphere. Let's grill some turban shells, scallops, and surf clams. Yuka-chan is in charge of grilling (*^^*) Sorry as always (lol) Turban shells weren't surprisingly delicious, but the surf clams were incredibly tasty. There's no all-you-can-drink option, so it can get a bit pricey. It might not be budget-friendly (lol) I'll go back when I feel like grilling again!

Everywhere I travel, I always see "Isomaru Suisan" and it caught my attention. Every branch I pass by is always bustling with customers enjoying themselves, even early in the morning. I decided to check out the one in Sapporo Tanukikoji, which is open 24 hours. The restaurant was lively, with customers cooking squid and shellfish on tabletop grills. I ordered a non-alcoholic lemon sour and some potato fries, which were crispy and delicious. I also tried the whitebait tortilla pizza, which had a curry flavor that I didn't really enjoy. The tables were a bit cramped, and the proximity to smoking customers made me decide to leave early. Overall, it's a good place for a quick meal, especially if you're a smoker. Thank you, Isomaru Suisan!

Iran Kara Pute. ---------- 2023.06 ---------- Located in the middle of Nansan West 4, along the station front street? A nationwide 24-hour izakaya |o| °д°)ノ Automatic doors~ Once you enter, you'll see a tank filled with shells. Before that, thank you for your help in Ueno. There is a friendly greeting from a young man and a hall staff member wearing a happi coat. They usually wear uniforms, right? Today is the Jingu Festival, so maybe they are dressed accordingly, but it's not clear. Since I'm alone, I sit at the counter. Each seat has a grill. In the kitchen beyond the counter, the young man's energetic voice and actions are lively, but there is a lot of private conversation and loud voices. You may not hear it in the table seating area, but in the counter area, it's a bit loud. I was told to order by scanning the QR code, which was convenient for taking time to decide. They serve lunch set meals from 11:00. They were out of Happy Bubbles, but I drank a "Lemon Sour" x 2 (= ´∀´)ノ. The "Striped Atka Mackerel Set Meal" was smaller than in the photo. It wasn't fatty, but it had a good amount of fat since it's a striped fish. Soy sauce is a must for drinking sake (it was smooth with round soybeans). The side dishes included Tarafly with plenty of sauce, which was crispy because it was freshly fried. The sake went well with the fries. The rice was free for extra servings (with plenty of water). The miso soup had grated kelp in it. I chose udon noodles with white noodles. The meal ended with pickled Chinese cabbage. I'm full now. I prefer to come back with friends to enjoy the grilling rather than doing it alone. I was only told about private conversations instead of work-related discussions, so I won't sit at the counter again.

"I have always believed that there is no bad seafood in Hokkaido. However, I can't say if the seafood here is good or not because I only had an eel and salmon bowl. But this bowl was quite ordinary... It lacked impact and the salmon was not fatty at all, rather it was overcooked and a bit dry. I used to think that even if salmon is not good, it's not that bad, but... The eel was just regular eel. Day drinking seems to be popular here, and people who start drinking in the morning must be happy, not needing to use their brain all day."

The izakaya that is open 24 hours a day is amazing, serving customers from morning to night, with a lively atmosphere and a young crowd. The seating is tight with box seats, each equipped with a grilling set for customers to cook their own food. The chairs may be uncomfortable, but the best part is that the place is non-smoking. The menu is extensive, ranging from a la carte dishes to rice bowls, set meals, sushi, and eel dishes. You can drink and eat non-stop from morning to the next morning, and there's always someone there. Starting with the appetizer of grilled seafood and fish cakes, followed by crispy pickled vegetables, and grilled squid, everything is delicious and enjoyable to cook at the table. The grilled scallops in their shells are also a must-try. The experience of grilling your own food and enjoying a variety of dishes makes this place popular and worth a visit. Lunch is also a good option. Thank you for the meal.

A few days ago, I had a sudden craving for grilled mackerel with salt, and although I could have grilled it at home, I wanted to enjoy it while drinking and trying other dishes as well. The restaurant is open 24 hours, so you can go anytime. When I looked at the menu, there was a plan for affordable drinks, but when I went there, that plan was not available. Maybe it was a continuation from the COVID-19 situation. When you enter the restaurant early, the scent of the sea fills the air. They are grilling various dishes on the tabletop stove. I ordered grilled mackerel with salt for 834 yen, sashimi platter for 878 yen, potato salad for 108 yen, and beer for 603 yen. The potato salad was only 100 yen! The mackerel was large and grilled to perfection, with a nice amount of fat. Eating what you want when you want is happiness. The beer was delicious too. The sashimi platter included tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, which were decent. It might be nice to enjoy grilling at the table while chatting, but it's also good to relax and savor the fish when it's less crowded. The menu has a wide variety of options, which I like. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived for lunch quite early. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and lively! There is a counter as well, so it's good for dining alone. The fact that you can drink at any time is great. The prices are reasonable. The alcohol selection is average. I ordered a bowl and it was fresh and had a good portion size. If it's not too crowded, this place seems suitable for a quick seafood and drink. The location is also nice. I'm thinking of going back in the morning next time!

Located on the 1st floor of a building in the 4th block of Tanukikoji, this seafood restaurant is run by Don Quijote. I visited for lunch, but since it's open 24 hours, it can be used for a wide range of purposes. The entrance is not on the Tanukikoji side, but on the Minami 3-Jo side. Inside the restaurant, there are tanks as you would expect from a seafood place, with counter seats and table seats arranged close together, making it feel a bit cramped. Despite being almost full during lunchtime, I was seated without having to wait at a table that happened to become available. In addition to seafood bowls, set meals, eel, soba, and udon, each table is equipped with a stove, allowing you to order seafood dishes separately and cook them yourself. This time, I ordered the "Grilled Hokke Set Meal (988 yen)" from the set meal menu. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The size of the Hokke wasn't that big, but it was delicious with a good amount of fat. The extra large rice portion was free, so I was able to get full. I felt that the "Seafood Overflow Bowl" or the "Sashimi Assortment Set Meal" seemed like a better deal than the set meal I had, so it would be good for seafood lovers.

I couldn't resist and ended up coming back to Isomaru Suisan in Sapporo Tanukikoji again. This time, I found another menu item that caught my attention. I like to call myself the "self-proclaimed ambassador of fried horse mackerel," so I felt like I had to try it. Ordering from this mobile phone is quite a hassle though... I went for the "Large Fried Horse Mackerel Set" and chose the grated yam udon as my side dish. The portion was quite generous, with the horse mackerel being truly large as the name suggests. There were two pieces, so I enjoyed one with soy sauce and the other with sauce. I recommend the sauce as it complements the dish better. The udon and side dishes were also substantial, leaving me very full once again. I was completely satisfied this time too! Thank you for the meal.

- Date: 2023/01/05/SUN
- Restaurant: Isomaru Suisan Sapporo Tanuki Koji Store
- Dish: Isomaru's Clam Ramen for ¥878, Plum Seaweed Rice Ball for ¥262
I came here two days in a row because I was curious about it. I checked the menu beforehand, so I placed my order as soon as I sat down. I also decided to get the Plum Seaweed Rice Ball. The "Isomaru's Clam Ramen + Plum Seaweed Rice Ball" arrived! The presentation was a bit lacking, but the taste is what matters. The soup was a bit salty, but the clam flavor came through nicely and was delicious. The medium-thin curly noodles were slightly overcooked, which made the combination with the soup a bit off. There were a total of 14 clams! The soft seaweed added a nice oceanic flavor that paired well with the soup. The Plum Seaweed Rice Ball had a crunchy plum texture with a hint of seaweed flavor that surprisingly worked well. Overall, it's just ramen from a casual izakaya, so there's no need to nitpick. Thanks for the meal! ♩♪♬

- Restaurant: Isomaru Suisan Sapporo Tanukikoji Store
- Menu:
- Maguro Donburi (Tuna Bowl) - ¥724
- Set with Miso Soup and Rice - ¥110
- Story of a major chain restaurant that started in Futakotamagawa. Sapporo is a city, but surprisingly there are not many major chain restaurants here. The nature of the locals, who are quick to jump on new things but also quick to get bored, may be the reason for this. However, in December 2022, just as COVID restrictions were about to ease, this restaurant opened its doors. Isomaru Suisan's sign can be seen everywhere in Kanto and Kansai, no matter where you get off. Located just a bit off Susukino, this place is a test to see if they can keep up with the easily bored locals. The first visit was made to avoid the expected crowds. Orders are placed by scanning a QR code with your phone, which may be a challenging system for the elderly. I ordered the "Maguro Donburi with Miso Soup" set. The total came to 724 yen, which is a bit of an odd price, but I was curious to see how it would turn out. Honestly, the freshness of the tuna wasn't great, and the vinegared rice was too cold and clumped together, making it hard to separate with chopsticks. The miso soup with fresh seaweed, which was included in the set for an additional 110 yen, had a luxurious feel that you wouldn't expect from a chain restaurant. After finishing the meal and looking at the menu again, I was surprised. Next time, there's no doubt I'll be ordering that. Thank you for the meal. (Translated by Mr. Bin)

I visited the restaurant during the snow festival in February. Popular ramen and soup curry shops were all crowded due to the festival, so I managed to find a place where I could get in. I waited for about 30 minutes at the entrance of the restaurant and was seated in the middle of the restaurant. I was a bit confused by the new ordering method using a mobile phone to order from the restaurant's menu. This time, I ordered a set of soba and seafood bowl, and a salmon ikura bowl. After a wait of just over 10 minutes, the delicious looking dishes were served. The soba was delicious as usual, and the seafood bowl had fresh sashimi and seafood items that were just right, with no fishy smell, and it was delicious, as expected from a restaurant named "Suisan" (meaning seafood). The restaurant had a lot of grilled dishes, and each table had a stove, which was a bit inconvenient and took up space for eating. There were also many foreign customers, probably due to the timing, with over 80% of the customers being foreigners, which was a bit noticeable. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful restaurant that served delicious food and had a great atmosphere!

There are places where you can have a daytime drink, but being able to grill seafood yourself while enjoying beer at such a great value seems unique. Eating while watching it being grilled right in front of you is really delicious. The best. Maybe because it's winter, they served warm tea for free when we sat down. Very grateful. Many people around me seemed to order from the lunch menu! The service was also very good. It must be tough being open 24 hours...

I went to Isomaru Suisan in Hokkaido, but it was closed due to a water-related issue. When I finally got to go, it felt similar to the Isomaru Suisan in Osaka, with many foreign customers. The grilled appetizers were delicious, but the simmered tripe was not to my liking as it was not as sweet as I expected. The clam dish didn't taste like the usual clams I'm used to in Hokkaido. It felt like I was eating a different kind of clam. Overall, it's a good place for drinking and grilling, but not necessarily to enjoy Hokkaido's flavors. The COVID-19 prevention measures were minimal, so if that's a concern for you, it might not be the best choice. Nonetheless, I was happy to be able to grill my food on a gas stove.

Isomaru Suisan Sapporo Tanuki Koji Branch - Otoshi (appetizer) 438 yen, Edamame 328 yen. Third stop - Second visit to Isomaru Suisan with the passing-by company president. Friday, midnight, almost full. Still a popular new store. Luckily, one seat was available. Unfortunately, only one photo was taken. Thank you for the meal. On to the last fourth stop.
