When I went to Kyoto, I came across a bakery on the way back. It wasn't a traditional bakery, but one that had high-quality German bread. First, there was the Werner Bögel, which means "to bend" in German. It's more like a cookie than bread, with a walnut brownie inside and a hint of cinnamon. I'd love to buy 5 or 6 next time I go. Next, there was the Nut Danish, with plenty of crunchy nuts in the dough. It's a bread that allows you to savor the nuts with a delightful texture of crispy Danish. And then, there was the Strawberry Pie, which was heavy and moist, almost like a "Strawberry Quiche." I really want to go back for more.

It appears suddenly in a residential area just north of Eiden Iwakura Station. I think it was from 7:30 to 9:00? It becomes a one-way street in the opposite direction, so those using cars may need to be a little careful. There is a parking lot on the north side of the shop with space for four cars. There is also plenty of space for parking bicycles. There is a bench in front of the shop where you can enjoy the bread you bought. The style is to go around the shop with the plate and tongs on the right hand side, then proceed to the register. The shop is small, so everyone seemed to wait in front of the shop and enter as soon as they could. The cozy atmosphere is full of local residents' use. ⭕ Jumbo Bacon Epi (¥330), 3 Little Pigs (¥160), Anpanman Chocolate Bread (¥160), Forest Sprite (¥160), Frankfurter (¥160), Pont de Chevre (¥40). It's nice to have a variety of choices and feel cozy. Personally, I wish the size was a little bigger for this price.

Inside the store, there are many different types of bread! Brownies and financiers, as well as other baked goods, are displayed alongside the bread. There are a variety of unique pastries and savory breads available. The character bread here is Minion-shaped, which is quite unusual. There are also some hard bread options available. The store is run by friendly ladies chatting with each other, creating a cozy atmosphere. The most popular item is the sweetened condensed milk cream and aloe deep-fried bread. It's rare to find deep-fried bread with sweetened condensed milk cream, let alone with aloe! I tried the reheated version, and it was delicious. The inside cream filling was generous but not overly sweet. The sugar on the surface was crispy, and the chunks of aloe added a nice texture and flavor to the bread. The salted roll bread is different from regular salted bread, with a twisted appearance. It's a stick-shaped bread with butter in the middle, twisted to create a unique look, and filled with butter when you bite into it. It's a simple yet delicious treat. Choosing and eating bread at this bakery is a fun experience. If there was a bakery like this nearby, I would definitely become a regular customer.

I went to Iwakura Station to see the green floor of Jisso-in Temple. As I was walking towards the bus stop for the city bus, I came across a very cute bakery with a warm and clean atmosphere. The interior of the shop is small, but filled with warmth and cleanliness. The staff are also very gentle and nice. The bakery offers a wide variety of bread that suits the cozy atmosphere perfectly. Among the many bakeries, this one stands out with its extensive selection of bread. They also have small-sized bread, which is perfect for those who want to try different types in small portions. Since I had just finished a meal, I bought a pain au chocolat. The taste is not particularly unique compared to others, but the shape and size just felt right. I really like it. Just stopping by Iwakura Station and taking a look is very soothing, so I highly recommend it.

Visited Bremen, a bakery in Iwakura, while exploring the area around Ichijoji and Iwakura on this day. We stumbled upon this shop on the way from Iwakura Station to Jisso-in Monzeki. It stands alone in a residential area. We had already visited Jisso-in and enjoyed the autumn foliage, which was quite crowded due to it being a Sunday. The view from the garden was breathtaking. On our way back, we decided to stop by this shop and ended up getting two items, mainly apple pie, for takeout. There were benches outside the shop, and we saw some people enjoying their purchases there. The variety of bread was extensive, making it a tough choice. It seemed like the shop was mostly frequented by locals, which was heartwarming. It was a delightful Sunday afternoon enjoying delicious freshly baked bread.

I came to Kyoto and had a request to eat Bremen bread after a long time, so I came here. It's been a while. There were only a few types left in the evening... The owners of the shop are a very nice couple, and even though there were only a few types left, their kindness showed. I bought muffins and scones for breakfast the next morning. They wanted to eat the crispy bread that is sold by weight. I will try the crispy bread sold by weight next time.

After seeing the cherry blossoms, I bought some bread on my way home. The name suggests it might be German bread, but there were quite a variety of options. The atmosphere was cozy, so I ended up buying more than I intended. I got mini peanut cream piroshki, red bean donut, cream bread, egg sandwich, and some other types like marble, cheese, and maple bread? Lately, I've been really into peanut cream bread, and this shop's version had a delicious smooth peanut cream inside soft bread. The other bread was tasty too, but I prefer the egg sandwich to have a stronger flavor. I visited the shop after 3 pm, but it seems they have more options earlier in the day as some bread name tags were removed. It would be nice if this shop was closer to where I live...

A kind taste that raised the local elementary school students. Bremen-san♪ Just a short distance from Iwakura. On this day, we planned to meet at Iwakura Station and take a walk around Takaragaike. We met at the station and leisurely walked to the bakery. We arrived in less than 5 minutes from the station! It's easy to spot with its cute appearance. It looks just like a "bakery"! Inside, there were so many types of bread! Sandwiches with rice, and a variety of pastries! The sweets were cute too, like a bear-shaped pie and a cute bread that looked like a character. All of them were so cute and charming. The red tea cream bread was moist and delicious, and the chocolate marshmallow was soft and fluffy... Don't underestimate this rural bakery. It was delicious! There were a variety of options and all the bread was tasty. Perfect for a walk around Takaragaike!

A few minutes walk from Iwakura Station. There is a parking lot and the Bremen sign was lit up. Inside, there is free coffee and benches on the left. I like this kind of warm, homely atmosphere in a bakery. It was empty in the evening, but there were still plenty of products to choose from. - Pocky \80: A long, thin bread with chocolate coating. The taste is average, but kids would enjoy it! - Chestnut Bread (Autumn limited) \140: The chestnut-shaped bread with chestnut and sweet bean paste inside. The bread texture is a bit crumbly. Looks great, taste is average with few fillings. - Olive Bread \120: A hard bread, but very delicious. - Berry Bread \100: Lots of fillings for a cheap price, and the bread itself is tasty. Great value for money. - Olive Salt Rusk \100: A rare salty rusk, thin and crispy. Delicious and affordable! Overall, the taste is average, but the atmosphere and affordability make it charming.

Iwakura is a quiet residential area, but one corner is bustling with families from the morning. According to the review, it seems to be a very historic bakery. The shop itself seems to have been recently renovated, and as the name "Breadman" suggests, it looks like a bakery from a story, very cute. The inside of the shop is constantly full of customers. For some reason, there are many combinations of fathers and children. Maybe they have decided to go to "Breadman" for Sunday morning breakfast. There are so many types and quantities of bread, from sweet pastries that children would like to deli items. At the entrance, there is a free coffee service (sometimes they also sell good coffee for 200 yen), and children who can't wait in the terrace were eagerly drinking it. They even gave out free pretzels, and the reviewer tried the "Cream Pan" for about 150 yen, saying that the cream felt a bit cheap. The other bread also reminded them of the taste of the bread from a bakery when they were young. It's more about the excitement of children wanting to try everything rather than the quality of ingredients or delicate flavors. It's a place where children can have fun and enjoy choosing what they want to eat.

Bremen Bakery is a local favorite that has been loved for a long time. The staff were very friendly. When I visited around lunchtime, the store was full of customers. Among the delicious bread on display, what caught my eye was the cakes, many of which were priced at 200 yen or less, making them very affordable. The bread I bought and took home was all delicious. Among them, the olive salt rusk was the best. It changed my image of rusks. I wished there was a wonderful shop like this near my home.

I used to visit this bakery a lot because it was on my way to school. They have a lot of cute breads! I have a weakness for Danish pastries, and I always had a hard time deciding which one to get because I liked the taste of the ingredients in them. The couple who run the shop are very warm and friendly, just like the atmosphere of the shop. It's been a while since I graduated and stopped going there, but if I have the chance, I would love to visit again!

When I visited the Iwakura Jisso-in in Kyoto, I used this shop. The shop is cute and you can eat bread outside. I was a little hungry, so I was planning to eat one or two pieces lightly, but there were various kinds of bread that were cheap and cute, so I ended up buying various kinds. Moreover, coffee was provided for free at the shop. And the water was delicious! While we were eating, more and more customers kept coming, and I realized that it was a popular local shop. I wish there was a cute, delicious, and cheap shop like this nearby.

It is located just north of Iwakura Station on the Eizan Electric Railway Kurama Line. There is a small bakery with lots of bread lined up in the window. Just looking at it, it looks delicious. It has a nice atmosphere. There is also a parking lot, so it's okay to come from the city. I bought some bread, including fruit Danish and white bread. The white bread was especially good. It was soft inside and crispy on the outside, very delicious. Generally, if the white bread is delicious, I think the other breads will be good too. Also, it seemed like you could get coffee as a service.

This bakery is located in the northeast of Kyoto city. The shop is not very big, but you can take your time choosing from a wide variety of bread. There is also a parking lot, making it easy to enter. This time, I bought an anpan, melon pan, fruit Danish, brownie, small brownie, and yuzu bread. Overall, the taste was mediocre. Even though I was hungry when I ate, nothing really stood out to me. If I had to pick, the yuzu bread had a nice taste and aroma when I took the first bite. It's a matter of personal preference, but even if it were located nearby, I don't think I would go out of my way to buy from there again. The service and prices at the shop are reasonable, so if it matches your taste, a rating of 3 to 4 stars would be understandable. Everyone has their own preferences. Trying to please everyone may lack impact, but showing individuality may lead to being judged based on personal values... Well, it's a tough task to create something, isn't it? However, competition breeds coexistence, which is why it's challenging.

The area around there has a rural atmosphere, but with the warm atmosphere of that bakery, it feels like the Iwakura area is lively. Even though I already had lunch, I couldn't resist going inside. I ended up buying toast and curry bread, which are filling options. The taste was quite good overall, although I thought the curry bread was a bit oily. They have a wide variety of options that are visually appealing. The complimentary coffee was much appreciated, and it tasted great too. If you visit Iwakura, be sure to stop by this bakery!

I finally went to the bakery my child had recommended as delicious. The shop was small but filled with a variety of bread. My child had praised the "Marinated Chicken Sandwich" recommended by the staff before, so I ended up buying a lot. I got the Marinated Chicken Sandwich, two types of curry bread, piroshki, Darjeeling orange tea bread, potato and shrimp sandwich, apple muffin, croquette-filled bread, germ bread, and sandwich. Everything was delicious, especially the curry bread and piroshki which my child enjoyed. The apple muffin was warm and comforting. They even offered free coffee at the entrance. Despite it being past lunchtime, the shop was bustling with customers. It may seem far from the city, but it's a cozy and delicious bakery that I would like to visit again.

I haven't been to this bakery for a while, but when I used to live nearby, I would go there once a week. The owner's wife is very friendly and makes you feel warm inside. Their hot sandwiches are a bit unique, with crispy bread that can be a bit sharp if eaten right away... but if you let it sit for a bit, it becomes crunchy and soft at the same time, which is really nice! I especially love their Clubhouse sandwich with bacon or chicken. I wonder if they still have it on the menu...
