After walking around Arashiyama, both my partner and I were intrigued by this croquette shop. The delicious smell of Ise's pork was enticing. There wasn't a long line, but there was a steady stream of customers at this popular shop. When trying it for the first time, we opted for the basic croquette. It was crispy and warm, thanks to the quick turnover. The minced meat was plentiful and tasty.

I came to Arashiyama after a long time and bought a croquette. It's a good snack when you're hungry, but the price has gone up and it's now 150 yen per piece, which is on the expensive side for a croquette. This time, the taste was delicious but it seemed to have declined. There was less minced meat compared to when I had it before. If it's going to be more expensive and have less filling, then there's nothing to say but disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

While walking from Torokko Saga Station to Keifuku Arashiyama Station, I caught a delicious smell in the air and decided to stop by a small shop along the way. It was around 11:15 am on a weekday. The shop was located between the two stations, facing Prefectural Route 135, with a noticeable red flag that read "Big Sale." It looked like a nostalgic local butcher shop, with an open front for easy access. Inside, there was a small refrigerated showcase for fresh meat on the left, and a fried food corner on the right. The lady who served us was friendly and welcoming. Most customers seemed to be tourists buying fried foods to go. The menu included croquettes, deep-fried skewers, wiener cutlets, minced cutlets, tonkatsu, beef cutlets, and more. Prices were average to slightly on the higher side. My companion and I both ordered "Croquette for 150 yen (tax included)." It was served hot in a paper bag and we enjoyed it on the small bench outside. The croquette was crispy on the outside with a fluffy texture inside, flavored with the goodness of beef mince. It was lightly seasoned and delicious even without sauce. It was a perfect snack to satisfy our hunger.

There is a butcher shop in the Arashiyama area that sells croquettes and minced cutlets, which have been featured in the media and are said to have long queues. I went there early in the morning on this day, so I was able to buy without waiting in line. I tried the croquette on that day, and it was packed with filling and had a strong meat flavor. It truly lives up to being a butcher shop. I thought it was a convenient shop for eating and walking around in Arashiyama. The fact that they open early in the morning is also a plus for me.

I visited the main store of Nakamuraya in Ryumon-cho, Saga Tenryuji, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. It is a famous shop known for its croquettes. It is located about a 2-minute walk from Randen Saga Station. The shop is a butcher shop near Randen Saga Station. On this day, there was no line due to light rain. The menu includes croquettes (118 yen), kushikatsu (162 yen), wiener (162 yen), minced cutlet (345 yen), tonkatsu (486 yen), beef cutlet (864 yen), etc. Payment is made at the self-checkout. The croquette was warm and simple in taste, but had a satisfying weight to it. Yummy~♪

I came to Arashiyama after a long time♬ I often visit Kyoto, but it's been quite a while since I last came to Arashiyama... Arashiyama is really nice after all~ It feels like coming to a faraway place♬ It was bustling with many tourists on Sunday afternoon!! I had some udon for lunch and then went for a leisurely stroll without a destination haha. Along the way to Saga-Arashiyama Station, I found a crowd of people! As I got closer, I saw that they were eating croquettes from a meat shop. My companion seemed quite interested in those croquettes... so, shall we stop by on the way back (^_^;) ★Croquette ¥118 I inserted money into a common automatic cashier, paid, and received the croquette. The hot croquette was super crispy, beyond crunchy❗️ It had a sweet taste inside and was quite similar to the croquettes from Nakamura-ya in Osaka, but this one had more meat and volume❤️ It seems like it was featured on TV, but I had no idea at all ( ̄▽ ̄;) A souvenir pack of croquettes with 10 pieces is ¥1000. The souvenir pack is a better deal♪ I enjoyed it in front of the shop while panting (#^.^#) It was very delicious‼️ I'm grateful to the staff, grateful to the shop, grateful to the croquette, and grateful to the meat. Thank you for the meal✴️✴️✴️

Arashiyama is a place where tourists line up, but this shop is known more for its local butcher shop vibe. They use Hokkaido potatoes and ground beef, frying their croquettes in 100% lard to bring out the sweetness of the potatoes. The previous owner was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Sixth Class by former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in 2003 for his contribution to the revitalization of the local community.

While walking around Arashiyama, I came across a rare opportunity to get croquettes and minced meat cutlets at a butcher shop. They were delicious fried foods, and they also had processed items like beef cutlet sandwiches and seared beef sushi. This shop originally sells fresh meat. By the time I left, there was a long line of customers waiting to buy meat at the butcher counter.

I look forward to eating the croquettes at Nakamuraya when I go to Arashiyama. I'm not sure if it's related to the shop in Tenjinbashi, Osaka, but personally, I like this one better. They are always piping hot and delicious. They are tasty enough to eat even without sauce. If I go on a day when they are closed, my mood really goes down because they are so delicious.

I couldn't resist passing by the shop even though I was already full after reading a review that said the croquettes here were the best in Arashiyama. The shop had a local butcher shop vibe, which made me feel like they wouldn't lie just to make a sale. I decided to try the croquette and also ordered their seared sushi, which was made with high-quality meat. The seared sushi was incredibly delicious, with the perfect searing and tender meat. The croquette had a crispy coating and a strong beef flavor. Even though I was full, I enjoyed the food a lot!

There is a butcher shop on the way from Saga-Arashiyama Station to Togetsukyo Bridge. They are popular for their fried foods, and a deli shop has also opened nearby. I stopped by on my way back after seeing the bridge because I was feeling a little hungry. It was around 1 pm on Saturday, towards the end of the season, but there was a steady flow of customers. I purchased: - "Croquette (¥100)" 3.0 ★★★ - "Kushikatsu (¥150)" 2.5 ★★☆ - "Beef mince (¥200)" 3.5 ★★★☆ The croquette was a small sweet type, perfect for a snack with a simple taste. The kushikatsu was thick slices of pork and onions. The taste was good, but both lacked a substantial texture. The mince was exactly as the name suggests, with a firm texture packed with minced meat. It had a solid texture like eating a hamburger, and it was delicious. The mince was tastier than the croquette, so maybe the deli items are better. I noticed that the deli shop had a variety of sandwich options, which caught my interest.

After strolling through Arashiyama, I found a tempting croquette shop on the way to the parking lot. I got one croquette for 100 yen! It was freshly fried and hot. The filling was quite thin and small. I guess it's worth the price, haha. The coating was a bit hard. The taste was simple, but the sweet potato and meat were delicious.

During a weekend in November, I visited Kyoto. Arashiyama was at its peak of autumn leaves, and I was amazed by the breathtaking view of the mountains from the Torokko train. Heading south from Torokko Saga Station towards the Katsura River, I aimed for a butcher shop near the Randen Saga Station. This shop, which has been in business for 60 years, specializes in Japanese beef, and I was there for their popular "beef croquette". It was just before noon, so there was no line yet in front of the shop. I purchased the cost-effective "croquette" for 100 yen and "kushikatsu" (deep-fried skewers) for 150 yen, and sat on a bench outside to enjoy them immediately. The freshly fried croquette had a crispy coating with a pleasant texture. It was packed with high-quality ground beef and fluffy potatoes, creating an exquisite taste. The kushikatsu was equally delicious, with a crispy coating and the concentrated umami flavor of juicy pork. There are many croquette shops in Arashiyama, but it's hard to find one that surpasses the taste of this place. It's a must-visit famous shop for a perfect snack during a stroll in Arashiyama.

I used this place while waiting for the trolley train. The croquette costs 100 yen and the beef cutlet costs 600 yen. Both were delicious as expected, but the beef cutlet was especially good with its rare cooking style and light seasoning that brought out the flavor of the beef. There are benches outside the shop, making it perfect for eating on the go. I would like to try the beef cutlet sandwich next time.

I visited this shop in Arashiyama on my day off. I bought the popular croquette that always has a line. The sweet and fluffy potato inside was delicious with the crispy outside. It was a great deal at 100 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I happened to pass by Nakamuraya in Arashiyama and was able to try their popular croquette. It cost 100 yen for takeout. The croquette was hot and crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The perfect amount of sweetness made it delicious. If you visit Arashiyama, be sure to try it.

After finishing sightseeing in Arashiyama and heading towards the Arashiyama Station of the Randen, I noticed a sign that read "Beef Croquette" and was intrigued, so I approached the store. It seemed to be a butcher shop, with a sign mentioning that their deli items had been featured on TV and in magazines. I was initially planning to buy a croquette, but decided to purchase the popular "Strongest Minced Cutlet for 250 yen" as indicated on the sign. The customer service was different from what I had imagined based on the sign outside, and it seemed like they may not be very welcoming to customers who only come to buy deli items. I bought the cutlet and started eating it while walking. The breading was crispy and had a good texture. It had a strong meaty flavor and was satisfying to eat. It was delicious, but I felt that the aroma of the frying oil was stronger than the meaty flavor. My hands got a bit dirty, so wet wipes are a must for eating on the go. I went when it wasn't crowded, so I wondered if the taste would be different if it was freshly fried during busy times. Overall, it was a slightly different experience with the minced cutlet.

Seeking the last cherry blossoms, I visited Arashiyama. While strolling and admiring the cherry blossoms, I continued on to my next destination. Along the way, I tried to stop at a café for some tea, but it was so crowded with people waiting at the entrance that I gave up. I started walking towards the next spot. The day was full of places to visit. Walking somewhat quickly, I noticed a brown facade with white letters that looked like a croquette. In front of this shop with a Showa era butcher shop vibe, there was a line of several people. Ah, it must be for takeout. I was a little hungry, so I decided to stop by. The fridge was filled with delicious-looking red meat. On the right side, there was a warming machine with a variety of fried foods lined up. At the bottom, there were 6 menu items such as croquettes, minced cutlets, and tonkatsu. The prices ranged from the nice Beef Cutlet at 800 yen to the affordable Croquette at 100 yen, perfect for takeout. I purchased a Minced Cutlet (250 yen) and a Croquette (100 yen), feeling a little guilty as there was no eat-in area and no place nearby to sit and rest. I ended up eating them in the shade of a telephone pole across the street, feeling like a detective having a sweet bun and milk stakeout. Each item was individually wrapped, but they were all greasy. It was a bit uncomfortable as the paper seemed like it would stick to my fingers. I decided to eat them while they were still warm and before my fingers got too oily. First, I tried the croquette. It was small with plenty of sweet potato flavor and a refreshing taste that didn't have a strong meaty flavor. About halfway through, I took a bite of the minced cutlet. It had a crispy and slightly firm texture, with a strong meaty taste. Yes, it was delicious. This selection was the right choice. I went back to the croquette and finished it in one bite. I savored the minced cutlet, enjoying the taste of the meat. Since I hadn't planned for lunch that day, it was a good source of nutrition. I then started walking towards my next destination. I found a meat shop on my way from Arashiyama Station to Saga-Arashiyama Station, where they were frying croquettes at the storefront, so I bought some to take home (*^▽^*)☆ The croquettes cost 100 yen each and are recommended by an actress, but that information may not be important. The croquettes are small and have a strong sweetness from the potatoes. They seem better as a snack than as a side dish. Most people seemed to be buying them for eating on the go. The "Strongest Minced Cutlet" costs 250 yen and has a nice sweetness from the onions, making it delicious, although calling it the "strongest" may be a bit of an exaggeration. It is juicy and overall tasty. Personally, I think the "Arashiyama Tanaka" chicken croquette I bought earlier was more impressive. However, being a meat shop, their croquettes are still delicious! Enjoy strolling around Arashiyama (*^ω^*)

There is a delicatessen in Arashiyama. Their croquettes are famous and priced at 100 yen, which is very reasonable. Even though it's a tourist spot and they could charge more, I appreciate this affordable price. There are many shops that take advantage of tourists and charge high prices, especially in Kyoto (lol). When you buy just one, they give it to you in a small paper bag. The croquette is crispy and you can taste the sweetness of the potatoes, it's delicious. The crispy outer layer is more like crunchy, which is enjoyable. I will definitely buy it again when I come back nearby. Thank you for the meal!
