I went to a cafe alone to kill time. I had hojicha tea and a lemon tart... I think that's what it was called. It was incredibly delicious. I've been to this cafe many times, but this tart was a first. The atmosphere inside and the staff were nice. I'm actually not good at being alone, but this cafe gives me a sense of security.

I tried the popular Peach Mille-feuille and Plate Lunch. The Peach Mille-feuille was a dessert with crispy pastry and juicy peaches. The Plate Lunch was nutritious and even came with potage soup.

Kyoto Cafe Tour ♡ piucafe The other day, I tried the "Aozora Parfait" at piucafe and it was a perfect way to cool down in the hot Kyoto weather. This refreshing parfait had granola, blue Hawaii jelly, yogurt, ramune ice cream, white chocolate, mousse, macaron, and a ramune soda in it, making it a delightful and cool treat. I missed out on trying this popular parfait last year, so I'm glad I got to enjoy it this time. Thank you for the delicious meal, piu cafe. Located near JR Enmachi, there is parking available nearby. #piu #piucafe #KyotoParfait #AozoraParfait #DaishogunCafe #Parfait #KyotoSweets #kyotocafe #KyotoCafeTour #InstaWorthySweets #ParfaitTour #KitanoHakubaicho #KyotoSightseeing #ConnectWithCafeLovers #Sweetsstagram #Blue #Sweetssweets #Sweets #KyotoJapan #KyotoTravel #StylishCafe

I visited this restaurant near the gym for lunch. The area around the gym seems to be a residential area with few shops. They offer a rich and creamy carbonara with a strong egg flavor, as well as a creamy soup-like version. Both are authentic and rich in flavor. The blended coffee served with the meal was also delicious.

Located about a 6-minute walk from Enmachi Station, this shop caught my eye as I was taking a leisurely stroll in the neighborhood on a holiday. With a wide variety of lunch and dessert options, I had a hard time deciding what to order. Since I had no idea what the items looked like, I referred to Instagram for guidance. I ordered a hot coffee for 480 yen and a butter sandwich with matcha and chestnut for 330 yen. The order was served in less than 10 minutes. The butter sandwich was smaller than I expected, but it was not too sweet and easy to eat. The hot coffee was smooth and easy to drink. I heard that they have a wide variety of desserts, so I would like to try them next time.

Second visit. Last time I ordered mille-feuille, so this time I got the strawberry Mont Blanc tart. It was delicious (*´꒳`*) and looked cute too. I went right before closing time, but they kindly let me eat there. Looks like strawberry season is ending.

Blueberry apple pie apple nade apple nade has a mysterious flavor. It had a lot of apples on top. The apple pie was crispy. I ate it slowly, but probably it would be tastier if I ate it quickly. There are various pasta and curry dishes on the menu that caught my interest. The drink menu is also extensive. I will come back again.

I saw a photo of a strawberry tower-like mille-feuille on Instagram and wanted to try the shop. When I entered, it was spacious and modern like a factory, and it was packed with people. I was surprised! Many people were indeed ordering the mille-feuille, but I couldn't find it on the menu, so I ordered a tart instead. It was also tall, but the cream was not too heavy and went well with the coffee. Thank you for the meal!

North of Kyoto, in the beautiful neighborhood of Kitano Shirakawa-cho, there is a cafe called "piu cafe" located on the first floor of the "Knob" building. This cafe is popular for its Instagram-worthy "photogenic sweets" and is situated in a competitive cafe district. The interior of the cafe features a warm atmosphere with exposed concrete ceilings, dried flowers, and antique wooden furniture. A large Christmas tree decorates the entrance. I stopped by "piu cafe" for a coffee break before a meal gathering. [piu cafe's Coffee] *Comments are listed in the photos. - Coffee - Blueberry scone The menu at "piu cafe" is known for its popular seasonal fruit tarts, mille-feuille, and other photogenic sweets. The food menu is also extensive, and the coffee was quite delicious. Since it was late afternoon, the cafe was quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly, allowing me to relax and enjoy a warm cup of coffee. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I felt a little hungry, so I decided to grab a light bite at an Italian restaurant I stumbled upon. I couldn't find a parking spot nearby, so I had to park a bit further and walk there. The pizza had a thin crust, so I could eat a lot of it. The pasta was delicious, with perfect firmness, and the sauce was amazing! If it were closer, I would definitely become a regular customer. They had a display of pie crusts at the counter, with apple and Mont Blanc options. Of course, I chose the Mont Blanc. It was a visually appealing dessert.

I visited the restaurant around 11:30 on a weekday, about a 12-minute walk from Enmachi Station on the JR Sanin Main Line. The interior was spacious with plenty of seating. There were no other customers when I arrived. The menu included pasta, pizza, monthly specials, curry, as well as desserts like mille-feuille, parfaits, tarts, and a variety of drinks. I had a hard time deciding what to order, and unfortunately, I was told that some items were sold out twice. It would have been helpful if there was a note on the menu indicating that. I ended up choosing the Peach Mille-Feuille (¥1,600) with a drink set (¥220). I was pleasantly surprised to find peach mille-feuille on the menu, even though peach season was over. The peach was sweet, soft, and delicious, with peach jelly inside. The mille-feuille had a crispy layered pastry similar to spring roll skin, with peach sauce in between. It was a bit tough to cut through with a knife, but the texture and taste were enjoyable, with peach puree, caramelized nuts, and coconut adding a nice touch. Overall, it was a satisfying peach mille-feuille.

I went to @piu_cafe in Kyoto Shiraume-cho and had a very cute and uplifting Blue Sky Parfait and a round Mille-feuille. The Blue Sky Parfait is beautifully presented with a blue color resembling the sky and white clouds. It tasted like Blue Hawaii and yogurt. The Blue Sky Parfait costs ¥900. The Mille-feuille with a whole peach on top is also a must-try at piu. The Peach Mille-feuille costs ¥1,600. I also ordered tea for ¥220 and orange juice for ¥220. The Peach Mille-feuille is available until around September 16th, but if they run out before then, the peach option will be discontinued. So peach lovers, hurry up! @piu_cafe is located at 131 Oshogunishimachi, KNOB Building 1F, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture. They are open on weekdays and weekends from 11:00 to 19:00.

I saw it on Instagram and was interested, so I wanted to eat peaches and went there from Saiin by bus. However, I had bad timing as it coincided with a school trip group, and seats were assigned with specific times, so I couldn't relax. It seems to depend on the timing, but I was told that I can usually go without a reservation, so I was just unlucky. The peach mille-feuille was delicious. The balance was a bit top-heavy, so it was hard to eat neatly. The peach itself was delicious, with jelly inside. The mille-feuille was crispy, and it went well with the cream and almonds scattered around the plate. It was lunchtime, so there were also pizzas and pastas, and the pasta especially smelled amazing and looked delicious. Overall, I had high expectations, so I was a bit disappointed. Considering the transportation convenience, I might go back if I have the chance, but it's not likely.

I stayed in Kyoto for the first time in a long time! I found a delicious looking cafe near the hotel and decided to go there! The casual and stylish interior made it easy to enter. The peach mille-feuille was of high quality! There were lots of nuts inside and they were beautifully arranged on the plate - it was amazing! The mille-feuille pastry and nuts were excellent! Of course, the peach was sweet and delicious! The mille-feuille was crispy and incredibly tasty! If I come to Kyoto again, I would love to visit this place!

I was attracted by the appearance and had always wanted to visit this place. The exterior and interior are very stylish, and the BGM is wonderful. I had high expectations. I ordered the mille-feuille and a drink, but it took a while for the order to be ready as the person making it was busy on the PC. The strawberry mille-feuille with Amaou strawberries cost ¥1300, which was a bit surprising. The mille-feuille pastry was very crispy, almost like a cracker. The cream and custard inside didn't leave much of an impression. I wonder if they use plant-based cream? Unfortunately, it didn't suit my taste. The appearance is very striking and perfect for those looking for a photogenic spot, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.

It was a nice atmosphere at the cafe. I ordered a Mont Blanc Millefeuille Marshmallow Chocolate drink. The Mont Blanc had a perfect level of sweetness in the cream, making it easy to eat. The Millefeuille part had a slightly bitter chocolate coating, which balanced out the sweetness. The drink was a bit on the cooler side. I thought it would have been better if it was a bit hotter. As someone with a sweet tooth, I found the sweetness just right in both the Millefeuille and the chocolate drink. If you prefer bitter coffee, you would have no problem finishing both. There were three staff members, with a man in the kitchen and a woman in the dining area. I went alone and didn't engage in any conversation aside from ordering. It was a good place for me to relax and spend time alone.

This day I was released in the morning and I should have gone home early, but since I was already out, I decided to extend my outing a bit and go eat something. Before that, I needed to kill some time and since I was going to a place I don't usually go, I looked at the map to see if there was anything else nearby. I found a cafe at the midpoint between the station I was using and my destination. I checked the reviews on Tabelog and found out that they were famous for their mille-feuille. Although I was worried about having two sweets in a row (I usually stick to one place per day to avoid feeling sick), I decided to give it a try. This time of year, they had peach mille-feuille, which I couldn't pass up. The cafe turned out to be a great find, with a fantastic atmosphere that could attract customers on its own. The cafe was renovated from an old office or something, and the attention to detail was impressive (I was surprised by the toilet with a pull string). I placed my order for the peach mille-feuille, but I also saw on the menu a peach and mascarpone pasta, which sounded intriguing. I was the first customer that day, and while waiting in the quiet atmosphere, my order arrived. It was a towering mille-feuille with a whole peach placed on top of the stacked pastry. The unique shape made it look like a cute stack of building blocks, especially because the pastry was smaller than the peach. However, it looked fragile and indeed, as I was admiring it, the peach fell off and the pastry collapsed. I was shocked. I tried to salvage it by sticking a knife through it from behind to support it and quickly took a photo, but the stylish background and impactful dessert photo I had envisioned were ruined. Despite my disappointment, I tried to focus on the taste, but the pastry was overly fused together and not as light and flaky as I had hoped. The cream was slightly like vegetable whipped cream, which was not to my liking. And the peach, although generally not too sweet this season, was disappointingly bland and mushy this time. This was the first time I encountered such a poorly tasting peach. It was not delicious. The quality did not match the popularity of the cafe this time. Maybe it was just bad luck or a consequence of prioritizing visuals over taste. Maybe I'm just venting because the peach fell apart before I could even enjoy it.

I'm not someone who chooses a restaurant based on the appearance of desserts, but as I learned more about piu, I became more eager to visit. So, one afternoon on a weekday, I decided to go. The location is 131 Daishogun Nishimachi, KNOB Building 1F in Kita Ward. Nearby, there is the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The place was about 25% crowded that day. The interior had an open kitchen counter in a spacious setting. The decor had a natural feel with wooden elements, plants, and natural light, creating a cozy atmosphere. After a while, a female staff member brought out the Apple Pie I was eagerly waiting for. The Apple Pie (880 yen) not only looked great but tasted delicious. The vanilla ice cream was generously topped with expensive vanilla beans, providing a subtly sweet flavor. The crispy pie crust was light. As expected, it was a bit challenging to eat, but savoring the delicious pie bit by bit was a blissful experience. The vanilla ice cream melting into the pie crust, creating a delightful blend, made me feel happy. I also had a Hot Lemonade (450 yen) that day, which was warm and refreshing with plenty of fruit pulp, offering a sweet and tangy taste.

Many people post about it on Instagram, so I made a reservation and arrived right at the 11:00 opening time. First, I tried the pasta, but it was just okay. I tried to stay positive and then I saw the strawberry mille-feuille - it looked so delicious! And it tasted delicious too. However, the coffee was disappointingly lukewarm. Maybe that's the ideal temperature, but I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be hot or cold because my taste buds are not very sensitive.

I came for lunch (*´w`*) I visited right after they opened, and there were couples, groups of girls, and solo men, among others. But the atmosphere was very calm and nice (*^^*) I had the lunch plate! It was healthy, just the right amount, and satisfying. My companion had pasta, which also looked delicious. There were many dessert options, so I want to try those next time (*´w`*)
