I finally got to visit Fukirisan, a restaurant I have wanted to go to for years. I made a reservation for a table a month ago. Currently, they only offer a course menu. I had beer and sake, and it cost me 9500 yen per person, but the dishes kept coming one after another and they were all delicious. This place is highly recommended for fish lovers. Here is the lineup of what I had, and everything was delicious:
- Horse mackerel sashimi, lightly grilled and delicious
- Oysters (additional 800 yen), absolutely amazing, a must-try dish
- Scallops with butter soy sauce
- Pacific saury, dried overnight
- Grilled shirako
- Grilled shishamo
- Fried taro, boiled and then fried with rice cracker coating, very tasty
- Boiled komatsuna
- Shirako with ponzu jelly, perfect with sake
- Marinated white fish
- Saury marinated in sweet miso
- Grilled sardine
- Uni and salmon roe clay pot rice, a luxurious and delicious dish
- Matcha ice cream
I was very satisfied and would love to visit again!

There are two types of seating available, sunken kotatsu and counter. The service is not particularly fast, but each dish is very delicious. From sashimi to simmered dishes, everything was satisfying. Moreover, for around 8,000 yen, you can enjoy a decent amount of food, making it quite reasonable. The constant phone calls for reservations indicate its popularity as a well-known restaurant.

There was a celebration, so I felt like having the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice from this restaurant and decided to use it again after a long time. The last time I used it, due to the impact of the pandemic, only the course menu was available. However, this time the a la carte menu was back, so I decided to try it again. But in the end, I realized that the course menu was better. The a la carte menu had been reduced, and some of my favorite dishes were gone. Also, the price for ordering the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice a la carte was surprisingly high, so I thought the course with the dish included for 8000 yen was a better deal overall. Just a note, the portion of the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice in the photo may look big, but we ordered the small size and it was quite small even for two people. So, if you visit this restaurant now, I personally recommend ordering the course with the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice included rather than a la carte. If you still feel hungry, you can always add a la carte dishes. On this day, the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice was delicious as always, and the other dishes we ordered a la carte were tasty too, but overall satisfaction was lower compared to before (sorry). The service also felt more casual than before. Also, I have always thought that it would be better if they showed a detailed breakdown of the bill at the payment, especially when ordering items not listed on the menu, so you know how much each item costs. This includes rare Japanese sake as well. Next time I crave the Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice, I will make a reservation for the course menu. Thank you for the meal.

Fresh sashimi (this is a complimentary appetizer! High quality), sweet tomatoes, exquisite flavor of Saikyo-yaki cooked in a clay pot, a luxurious dish with creamy sea urchin and popping salmon roe. It's easy to talk to the chef at the counter, and there are also foreigners, making it a place known only to a select few.

The atmosphere, food, and value for money were all great. The staff's attitude was a bit lacking, but everything else was good so I didn't mind too much. The sea urchin and salmon roe rice bowl was definitely the highlight! Although the portion sizes weren't huge, I left feeling very full.

After work, I felt like eating delicious fish, so I visited Fish Kagayaki. It was my first time at this restaurant, but I was confident it would be delicious based on the reviews and photos. It's located a little off the beaten path in Roppongi, giving it a hidden gem vibe. The interior had a cozy atmosphere, and the food was truly impressive. I enjoyed the carefully crafted dishes while having a good conversation about work. Thank you for a wonderful time. The food was delicious!

At Fish Hikari, the must-try dish is the Ikura and Uni rice, which requires advance reservation. The other dishes are superior to most izakayas, with very fresh ingredients and expert cooking. The restaurant's atmosphere is perfect for gathering with friends. It has around 15 seats and only 4-5 tables, making it a cozy spot.

On that day, we made a phone reservation but the restaurant was fully booked. We were seated at the counter with 3 people. The a la carte menu had a wide variety of dishes and the alcohol selection was plentiful. The fish menu was extensive and the grilled fish was delicious. The sashimi for sharing was also tasty. I recommend trying the delicious rice dish with plenty of sea urchin and salmon roe. The rice was cooked firm and was very tasty. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had been curious about this shop. I was looking forward to visiting. The interior of the shop is very small, but I find this kind of atmosphere calming. However, the distance between me and my partner is close, so it can feel cramped if you don't like the person you're with. The food is all delicious. The impression of the sake was that there was nothing particularly unusual. One thing that was disappointing was when they asked, "Can we clear the plates you've finished eating from?" It surprised me. I worked hard to protect them! It would have been nice if they could pay attention to that one thing.

They serve delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with great value for money. The uni and ikura rice in a clay pot is the best I have ever had in Japan.

[Uo Hikari @ Roppongi] Uni and ikura clay pot rice is a specialty‼️ The luxurious atmosphere is amazing✨ The combination of food and sake was excellent, and yet the price is reasonable! If it's around 10,000 yen for this quality in Roppongi, it's easy to use for business dinners and such^ ^⚠️On a separate day from this visit, I tried to enter without a reservation a few times and couldn't get in, so I think reservations are essential!

A hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant located in a residential area. The restaurant has two 4-person tables and a counter with 8 seats, but it doesn't feel cramped. It seems busy and the food may take a bit longer to come out, but it's worth the wait while enjoying a drink. The drinks may also take a while to arrive, but the unique atmosphere makes it not feel like a big issue. The sashimi was incredibly delicious, especially the horse mackerel. The salad with chrysanthemum greens and conger eel was also great, with pistachios adding a nice touch. The minced cutlet was juicy and tasty, although I forgot to take a picture. The duck had just the right amount of fat and was delicious. I can't remember what was in the soup, but it had a thick texture and was exquisite. The clay pot rice with sea urchin and salmon roe was amazing! Very delicious. Overall, the course menu for 8,000 yen was worth it for this quality.

I was taken to a restaurant to eat sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot. I was told there would be about a 1-hour wait, so I decided to place my order as soon as I entered. I was surprised when they served me a sashimi platter as a complimentary appetizer. I also tried crab namero, mascarpone and sweet red bean paste sandwich, and grilled shirako. Everything was delicious, so I think you can't go wrong with any choice, but the mascarpone sandwich was particularly impressive and tasty! I also love how well the crab pairs with sake! To finish off the meal, I had a red miso soup with the golden combo of sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Located between Roppongi and Nogizaka, a warm light envelops the entrance as you enter a small path. We ordered the course menu, but decided to add on the fresh oysters that were available that day. The oysters were plump and had no fishy smell, even my companion who usually dislikes oysters praised how delicious they were! We started with sashimi and a cold sweet potato soup, both were fresh and tasty. Then came the deep-fried white fish, which was truly exceptional. It was crispy, well-seasoned, and unlike anything I've ever had before. We also ordered a lemon sour, which was a new take on the classic drink with finely crushed lemons that enhanced the flavor. Finally, we had the famous Uni and Ikura rice bowl. We added extra Uni and Ikura, which may have earned us some gout points. Although I initially thought to eat them separately, mixing them together actually balanced the flavors perfectly and made it even more delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located close to Roppongi Station, this restaurant stands quietly like a hidden gem. The interior is just as calm and elegant as the exterior, with sunken kotatsu-style counter seats and table seats available. I chose the course menu this time and added the recommended fresh oysters. The first sashimi dish featured seasonal fish and was a perfect appetizer, and the fresh oysters were deliciously plump. The next cold appetizer made with sweet potatoes was a unique dish, but unfortunately, the taste was not to my liking. The following tempura dish had a crispy texture that stimulated the appetite and complemented the fish and meat courses that followed. The highlight was the last course of uni and ikura cooked in a clay pot, where the warmth of the rice slightly heated the uni and ikura, enhancing their sweetness. The restaurant also has a great selection of sake, with a wide range of Japanese sake that pairs well with the Japanese cuisine. I chose the 14th generation sake available that day, which had a refreshing flavor that matched perfectly with the dishes. I would love to visit this restaurant again if I'm in the area.

Roppongi's izakaya "Uotoki" was featured in Foreign Deb's book. Customers take off their shoes before entering. The interior of the restaurant features sunken kotatsu-style tables for both the counter and regular seating. We reserved the Uni and Ikura clay pot rice course for 8000 yen. As the name suggests, fish is the main focus of the course. The specialty "Uni Ikura Rice" is a clay pot rice dish filled with rare sea urchin and salmon roe, deliciously arranged. The rice is slightly firm. The course portion is neither too large nor too small, just average. The taste was not bad, but not particularly outstanding either. Recommended for those who want a safe and simple meal.

A luxurious hot pot rice restaurant in Roppongi. Located about a 5-minute walk from Roppongi crossing towards Nogizaka, in a quiet area. It has a hidden gem atmosphere, which is nice. When I visited, they only offered courses (not sure if they have a la carte). I went with the flow and tried the seasonal course:
- Bonito with leek and soy sauce
- Saury, flounder, bamboo shoots, and deep-fried eggplant
- Deep-fried cherry shrimp and butterbur sprouts
- Grilled sardines
- Firefly squid with sea urchin and salmon roe hot pot rice
Creative Japanese cuisine with a seasonal touch. The sashimi, tempura, and hot pot rice were delicious. I don't usually go for Japanese food, but this was quite good!

Dinner at Uoteru: Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice Course ¥8,000 (tax included)
Located between Roppongi and Nogizaka, near Midtown, is the popular seafood restaurant Uoteru. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a hidden gem vibe. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, all of which are sunken kotatsu style. Guests are asked to remove their shoes at the entrance. Currently, only courses are available. There are two types of courses, distinguished by the type of clay pot rice: the classic "Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice Course" and a seasonal ingredient clay pot rice. I made a reservation for the "Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice Course" and started the meal.
1. Sliced Kamas, Akagai, and Bonito Sashimi
A platter of Kamas with seared skin, Akagai with the siphon, and Bonito sashimi.
2. Clam and Bamboo Shoot Soup
A flavorful clam broth with large clams, offering a satisfying taste.
3. Cherry Shrimp and Butterbur Tempura
Delicious tempura with cherry shrimp and butterbur, with a nice crunchy texture.
4. New Potato with Sake Lees
Deep-fried new potatoes topped with sake lees.
5. Fatty Mackerel Charcoal-Grilled
High-grade fatty mackerel charcoal-grilled, with a unique balance of fat and bitterness. Served with sautéed udo and charcoal-grilled bamboo shoots.
6. Firefly Squid and Scallion Salad
A refreshing firefly squid and scallion salad.
7. Uni and Ikura Clay Pot Rice
The meal ended with the famous clay pot rice, a small serving size with uni and ikura, accompanied by a rich red miso soup.
In total, with three drinks, the bill came to ¥17,500 for two people. Considering the location in Roppongi and the quality of the Japanese cuisine, this price is quite reasonable. A restaurant worth remembering and adding to the list of favorites.

Visited "Uohi" for the first time! The restaurant is located near the National Art Center, between Nogizaka Station and Roppongi Station. The stylish interior raised my expectations. Upon entering, shoes were removed before proceeding. There were counter seats and table seats, including sunken kotatsu tables. I was seated at a table and noticed mostly couples dining. There were only two course options available: - Sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice course ¥8,000- - Seasonal clay pot rice course ¥7,000- I ordered the sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice course. The menu was chef's choice. Cheers with a draft beer! 1. Assorted sashimi 2. Clam and bamboo shoot soup The clams were large and chewy. 3. Cherry shrimp tempura (forgot the name of the green vegetable) It felt like spring with a crispy and delicious tempura. 4. (Probably) Buttered potato with sake lees 5. Grilled sardine The sardine was fatty and delicious. 6. Firefly squid with miso 7. Sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice, red miso soup The presentation was beautiful, and of course, it was delicious. *There was no dessert. I enjoyed beer, whiskey, and sake with the meal, and it cost less than ¥13,000 per person! I will definitely visit again when I crave sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice.

Roppongi "Uotogi" is a seafood izakaya famous for its sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice. Located midway between Roppongi and Nogizaka, about a 6-minute walk from Roppongi Station, the restaurant attracts many young customers but also has a calm atmosphere. The menu mainly consists of about 8 seafood dishes. Currently, they only accept reservations for courses. The course that makes your heart leap with anticipation is the sea urchin and salmon roe clay pot rice! The rich sea urchin and salmon roe fill your mouth with happiness. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you for the meal. Customer price range: ¥8000-¥10000. Seating: Counter, tables. Shoes off. Nearest station: Roppongi, about 6 minutes away. I am posting about restaurants that I found delicious and want to support. I would be honored if it is helpful to everyone.
