On July 31, 2016, during a business trip, I purchased souvenirs and exchanged my full stamp card for a gift at the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store. The gift included dorayaki, Hakodate financiers, kuriman, and a Hakodate walk. They were all delicious. The stamp card at this store is a bit different as you only get one stamp regardless of whether you spend 100 yen or 3000 yen, which is a bit strange but maybe it's a way to show gratitude for visiting the long-established store.
On April 22, 2016, I visited the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store where I usually buy dorayaki and Chinese steamed buns as souvenirs every month. This time, I bought the classic dorayaki and Chinese steamed buns, as well as the new products Hakodate walk and Nagasaki Castella. The dorayaki had red bean paste with moist dough and was not too sweet, making it easy to eat. The Chinese steamed buns had smooth red bean paste and a moist dough, making them very delicious. The Hakodate walk had a moderate sweetness with a slightly sweeter Castella dough, making it overall sweet. The Nagasaki Castella had just the right amount of sweetness with a fluffy texture.
On October 30, 2013, during a business trip to Hakodate, I visited the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store and exchanged my full stamp card for a gift. The gift included dorayaki, kuriman, choco manju, and Momoyama assortment, all of which were delicious.
On November 4, 2012, I visited the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store to buy dorayaki and came across a special product called "Tora ga Yaki" which was released during the 150th anniversary of the store in the year of the tiger. It was a limited edition product available only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, with only 50 pieces sold per day. The dorayaki had whole chestnuts in the red bean paste filling and had a fluffy texture, which was very delicious.
On July 22, 2012, during a business trip to Hakodate, I visited the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store to buy souvenirs. I managed to purchase 10 dorayaki and 3 Chinese steamed buns. The Chinese steamed buns had a smooth red bean paste and a moist dough, making them very delicious. They can be frozen and still taste great, so it's okay to buy in bulk. However, they sell out quickly, so it's recommended to make a reservation for at least 3 items.
On March 14, 2012, during a business trip to Hakodate, I visited the 'Senkyu-an Sohonke' store to buy souvenirs. The store is known for its famous dorayaki, which I bought in a pack of 10 for souvenirs and 2 individually for myself. The dorayaki had a moist texture with red bean paste filling and was not too sweet, making it easy to eat. It was quite large in size and very delicious.
