On my day off, I had Jambalaya for lunch. Although Jambalaya is a Cajun dish, this restaurant's version doesn't use Cajun spices and doesn't have much of a traditional Jambalaya flavor. However, overall, it was delicious. The rice was like buttered rice sautéed with onions and sliced mushrooms, topped with crispy and juicy fried chicken and shrimp, with a large slice of tomato in the middle. The shrimp had a slightly Cajun seasoning. The tomato may seem unnecessary at first, but it actually plays a crucial role in this Jambalaya. It's a matter of preference, but adding plenty of Tabasco sauce makes it even better. This is quite an original Jambalaya.

HONKY TONK inside the Kyoto Riding Club has a cool Western-style exterior. The restaurant's main appeal is its Country and Western live music, so it seems that evenings are the main focus, as during the day it feels a bit deserted. Perhaps it was just the time I visited, but there were no people or horses in sight in the arena visible from the window, making it completely lacking in liveliness. However, this absence of activity oddly creates a charming atmosphere. The Spaghetti Bianco, which was simply described as oil-based, lacked enough salt and was not quite satisfying, but I was happy that a decent-sized coffee was included in the lunch service. With enticing menu items like Jambalaya, Guacamole Salad, Spare Ribs, and Tacos, I definitely want to come back next time and enjoy them with a beer while listening to the live music in the evening.

Before entering kindergarten, I often came to this restaurant with my parents. Whenever they asked me what I wanted to eat, I always said I wanted the pizza with a horse running on it, that's how much I loved this place. However, I stopped going there around elementary school and completely forgot about it. But one day, when I heard that my parents had gone there after a long time, I really wanted to go, so I invited a friend and went there! It was just as nostalgic as it used to be, nothing had changed! I used to only eat pizza back then, but now that I'm an adult, I ordered tacos and jambalaya. The tacos were delicious, but the jambalaya was incredibly tasty! The chicken was crispy on the outside and the seasoning was really good. It was the first time as an adult that I realized other dishes were delicious too!

Here at "Honky Tonk," it's a tribute to Country & Western (C&W) music and lifestyle from the American West pioneer era. The owner, Bow Yatani, who claims to have trained as a country singer in America, is not particularly skilled in my opinion. The atmosphere is like a modern American Southern country town, with each customer free to relax as they please. The BGM is country music, and the menu features a mix of wild country dishes, everyday American foods like pizza and tacos, and snacks rather than full meals. The highlight is the authentic and delicious pizza. The restaurant's main draw, though, is its location next to a British riding arena, offering a unique juxtaposition of British and Western riding styles. The prices are a bit high, but for fans of C&W music or horse riding, the atmosphere and environment make it worth it.

The restaurant was located deep inside the grounds of a horse riding club, past the pond and through a tunnel in the mountains. If you didn't know about the place, you might not think to visit. On a Sunday around 3pm, a group of 10 of us visited in a car. The interior of the restaurant had a woody Western theme, making us feel like we were in America. There was a stage at the back for live performances, but there wasn't one happening when we were there. We enjoyed delicious pizzas and jambalaya, with a focus on carb-heavy dishes. Despite the American vibe, the portion sizes were more like those in Japan. We had a fun meal watching horses outside the window.

During a long trip to Kyoto, I visited this restaurant with a friend around 7:30 in the evening. Although the entrance may seem a bit intimidating, the interior of the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with slightly dim lighting. The decor has a retro or early American vibe, which I found charming. There were a few regular customers dining alone and a group of about five university students who seemed to be from a club. Since we had already eaten dinner, we ordered one pizza to share and I had a mint julep, as I was the designated driver. Unfortunately, there was no live music that day, but we enjoyed the juicy pineapple pizza and the refreshing mint julep. Two weeks later, I returned during the day and enjoyed the cherry blossoms near the entrance. This time, we ordered two pizzas - garlic anchovy and mixed. Both were delicious, but the mixed pizza was particularly outstanding. The portion size was decent, especially considering the thin crust. I also recommend trying the Texas Lemonade, which was incredibly tasty. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to returning for another visit, hopefully during a live music event.

I was introduced to this place and decided to check it out, and it had a very American feel to it. The restaurant has been in business for almost 40 years, so you can really feel the experience they have. They offer a variety of pizzas which were delicious. The menu is extensive, with a focus on Mexican and American dishes. I also tried their Jambalaya, which was like a pilaf and very tasty! They have several original cocktails as well. There is a horse riding club next door, so the view during the day seems quite nice. They also have live music performances at night, with the owner even taking the stage to sing. Overall, it's a great place for a date.
