Today, my family and I visited this restaurant. We had been wanting to go for a while, but due to the pandemic, we had been holding off because the counter seats were not being used and it was difficult for our family to sit on the floor. With the state of emergency finally lifted, I called and was told that next week would be okay, so I made a reservation and secured a table and parking. We arrived at 11:30 on a holiday we had reserved. Lunchtime is from 11:30 to 1:00 in two sessions. The quiet restaurant had a compact layout with a kitchen on the left, a counter with 4 seats in front, and 3 small raised tatami seating for 4 on the right. It was run by 4 veteran staff members. The menu had about 13 set meals. We both ordered the popular "Tempura Set (9 items)". We drank warm tea, wiped our hands with cold towels, and got ready. First, a tray filled with small dishes was brought to us, all intricately prepared dishes including tuna sashimi. We started with the first serving of tempura, the classic "shrimp, eggplant, okra", all lightly fried and crispy. Whether eaten with tempura sauce or salt, it was delicious. The second serving included "fried dashi, yam, squid ink bun", a creative twist but also very tasty. The last serving included "bamboo ring salad roll, chicken, conger eel", with plum paste on the conger eel, soft and fluffy. The tempura changes according to the season and is always served hot from the kitchen, a great attention to detail. The chawanmushi with a citrus scent and strong broth was also excellent. We finished our meal, and even though rice refills were free, we were already full from the dishes. Finally, we were able to come and were very satisfied. I think this place deserves more recognition. The service was good. Thank you for the meal.
