(⌒-⌒) Blog ⇒ 【Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪】From the end of August 2020... I was back in my hometown for a visit. It wasn't during the Bon festival or a vacation... I stayed for a long two weeks because a relative had passed away. In the midst of this pandemic, we held the wake and funeral. It was a difficult situation, but many people gathered. It may sound strange coming from me, but it was a wonderful ceremony. After that, I stayed in various hotels and took care of different procedures over the two weeks. During this time, I noticed and felt many things, such as the differences in COVID-19 measures between Tokyo and Kansai, as well as the variations in measures taken by different shops and hotels. Tokyo was excluded from the "Go To Travel" campaign, so I was like a castaway. Even after the full lifting of the state of emergency, I continued to voluntarily refrain from going out, so I was surprised by the differences in COVID-19 measures taken by different restaurants. Since I was trying to stay in hotels as cheaply as possible, I ended up staying in rooms without meals, which led me to eat out for every meal. Thanks to that, I noticed and felt many things. I would like to write about it in my blog someday. Today, I want to purely introduce one of the dining places I visited, which is "CAFFE CIAO PRESSO" in the Kintetsu Meitengai "Miyakomichi". It seems to be a cafe chain mainly located in Kansai. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary chain cafe, and inside, it's also an ordinary chain cafe (just kidding!). But here, they have a Kyoto-exclusive "Maiko-chan Cappuccino"! The cute Maiko-chan illustrations are irresistible, and you just have to order them. Moreover, there are two types of illustrations, both equally cute, so it's hard to choose (^^;). So, I recommend ordering both, but if you're alone, would you like a refill!? This "Maiko-chan Cappuccino" is only 330 yen per cup (excluding tax), which is quite reasonable. In Tokyo, it would probably cost around 600 yen, and in Jiyugaoka, it could easily be 850 yen. Oh, Tokyo is truly terrifying, isn't it? (What am I even talking about?) Considering that, I didn't have the impression that Kyoto was cheap in terms of prices. However, during the few days I stayed this time, the impression of high prices didn't stick. Despite being a city with a rich history and a world-renowned tourist destination, it seems surprisingly fair. If that's the case, I have a feeling that I'll be visiting Kyoto more and more in the future. ・Service: ♪♪♪♪♪♪ ・Food: ♪♪♪♪♪♪ ・Value for money: ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪ ※If there are 10 ♪ in a row, it's a perfect score!
