I visited for lunch during sightseeing in Kyoto. It was on the upper floors of Kyoto Isetan. I had a set meal of mackerel in Kyoto-style miso and various side dishes, with unlimited rice and tofu. The extra tofu was warm and slightly sweet when eaten as is, and delicious with coarse salt.

All-you-can-eat refills ⸜❤︎⸝‍ The meat was also tasty and healthy for lunch. The interior of the store was spacious, and from the counter, you could see Kyoto Tower. I think it would be even more beautiful at night with the night view! Unfortunately, it was cloudy ☁️ and the view was so-so, but it was nice that the atmosphere of the store was relaxed and not crowded. There were various menu options, so I think both men and women can enjoy lunch there.

They offer unlimited refills of freshly made tofu, which was a nice touch. Having extra tea available at the table was convenient, so you don't have to call the staff every time.

I came to Kyoto on a Saturday. We decided to try a local obanzai restaurant for lunch, so we went to the one inside Isetan at the station. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated right away, at a window table with a great view of Kyoto Tower. The obanzai dishes were delicious, and they had a good selection of beers. The location is great with a view of the tower right in front of you. There are various menu options, but I chose the Kyoto Sanmai Obanzai Plate, which is the most popular. It includes a full menu of eight small Kyoto dishes, which is quite satisfying. The tofu dengaku with miso is a perfect combination. The mackerel grilled with miso is also very delicious. The homemade steamed tofu has a great soybean aroma and is very tasty. Plus, you can have as many refills as you want. Everything was delicious, the view was great, and it was the perfect lunch. Visited around 2:00 PM on a Sunday. The location is a bit hard to find, so it's a hidden gem. Only had to wait for about 15 minutes to get in. Sitting at the counter, you can enjoy a luxurious view of Kyoto Tower right in front of you. The homemade tofu was incredibly sweet. The yuba and nama-fu dengaku that I was looking forward to were also delicious and satisfying. Even though I was dining alone, I enjoyed a beer and a glass of sake, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I will definitely visit again when I travel to Kyoto.

It's a high-rise building with a great view overlooking Kyoto Tower, making it a nice spot for a couple. The staff were polite and attentive, which was pleasing. The rare fried mackerel was incredibly delicious. The side dishes had a traditional Kyoto cuisine feel to them. You can freely ask for seconds of tofu, and there are soy sauce and salt on the table for you to season to your liking.

When you come to Kyoto, this is a must-visit restaurant! I think this is my 5th time here already! However, this is my first time in the spring season, and the dishes made with seasonal vegetables were amazing. The food is delicious, the view is beautiful, and the staff are very polite.
