Located on the first floor of the popular commercial building VIVI adjacent to Nijo Station in Kyoto, "Takabashi" is a crowded ramen shop. Despite the lunchtime rush, we managed to secure seats at the counter. We ordered the signature "Takabashi Ramen" with an additional side of "han-chan". The ramen had a rich soy sauce aroma with a slightly thick soup. We could customize the firmness of the noodles and the amount of green onions when ordering, but being first-timers, we went with the standard options. Looking back, I think more green onions and slightly firmer noodles would have suited my taste better. Nevertheless, the authentic soy sauce ramen paired with the delicious han-chan was priced at 990 yen, offering great value for money. It's no wonder this place is so popular.

When I crave for the delicious ramen from Daiichi Asahi, I end up coming here because the long queues under the scorching sun can be tough on my old body. As the sign says, the authentic taste is truly addictive! The clear pork bone soy sauce soup paired with straight noodles never disappoints. The char siu with just the right amount of fat is also delicious!

I visited Takabashi Ramen, a popular spot known as a soul food in the area near Nijo Station Vi Vi. I stopped by to buy kimchi, a staple side dish for my family, before heading out for a camping trip. It was lunchtime and the place was busy, with 4 groups waiting outside. After a short wait, I was seated and ordered a Takabashi Ramen along with a set of drinks. I forgot to mention that I prefer my noodles firm, but the basic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen was still delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Soy sauce cold noodles for 850 yen, and a pudding ice cream for 200 yen. The cold noodles are light and go well with plenty of char siu, mustard, and mayonnaise. The pudding ice cream has a nice caramel crunch and is of good quality for its price. Next time, I'll try the hearty stamina ramen followed by the Sujata Silk Ice Soda flavor combo.

It had been so long since I last visited Takabashi Ramen that I couldn't remember. Normally, I would go for the Aotyu (clear broth) ramen, but this time I decided to try the Jukusei Miso Ramen with firm noodles and extra green onions. The ramen that arrived had the classic look of old-fashioned miso ramen. When I tasted it, it was a nostalgic flavor of miso ramen. It felt a bit lacking in taste, but adding some pepper and vinegar made it just right. There's something about these old-fashioned ramen dishes that I oddly enjoy these days. It makes me crave for this kind of ramen again.

Visited on the night of Monday, April 24, 2023. There were only a few customers, so it was empty. I sat at the designated counter seat and ordered the classic Takabashi ramen with firm noodles, extra vegetables, and a strong flavor. The ramen was served in just a few minutes - so fast! The soup was the classic pork bone clear soy sauce, with a rich and delicious taste. I prefer the noodles to be firm. Ordering extra vegetables increases the overall portion, so I like to go for a small size ramen. I added a lot of chili pepper on the table for extra flavor, and finished every last bite. The strong flavor left me feeling very satisfied!

I ordered a medium size Takabashi ramen with extra bean sprouts and green onions, normal flavor, firm noodles, and light oil. However, the noodles were softer than I expected, which was disappointing. The soup was light and delicious. There were more noodles than I thought, so I should have ordered a small size with double bean sprouts and green onions. Overall, it was tasty until the end.

On Saturday night at 8:30, I went to Takabashi Ramen. The restaurant was crowded with many customers, and the staff seemed busy, but the food came out quickly so I was able to eat right away. The ramen was small for 600 yen, with plenty of green onions and bean sprouts for lots of vegetables. I also ordered half gyoza and half fried chicken for 350 yen, and amazingly, I got change back from 1000 yen. The fried chicken was hot and crispy, and the gyoza was juicy and delicious. The soy sauce broth was unlike any soy sauce ramen I've had before and was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The movement of the staff on the floor is excellent. Everyone is bright and capable of working efficiently. It's a pleasure to eat here, even more so than the delicious ramen. The jasmine tea served with water is also delicious. Personally, I think the small ramen (extra green onions and bean sprouts) for 600 yen is the best value option.

I was almost becoming a lunch refugee when I visited around 3:30 PM on a Saturday. Despite the time, there were still a few customers. Being located in a complex near the station, it seems that being open all day is valuable. The "Mega Takabashi" on the menu caught my eye, but I ended up ordering the Stamina Ramen (large) (1050 yen) with extra green onions. Thanks to the extra green onions, the noodles and chashu were hidden under the toppings. The chashu, although thinly sliced, had that classic Takabashi taste. The thin noodles and traditional Kyoto ramen flavor were consistently delicious.

The renowned Kyoto soy sauce ramen that even makes crying children quiet ✨ Despite being 100% tonkotsu (pork bone) based, the clear soup is light and refreshing. The domestic female pork chashu is moist and tender, leaning slightly towards the crispy side. Of course, it is topped with Kujo green onions. You can also enjoy a small side dish or two of your choice with your meal.

I stopped by after finishing my errands on Nijo Street. I usually get the ramen with extra seasoned egg, but tonight I felt like having rice too (lol), so I chose the shrimp chili as the side dish with rice. The ramen was consistently delicious. Today, the saltiness was just right, which was nice. The small size had plenty of pork slices, so I was satisfied. The shrimp chili sauce was spicy and tasty, but mostly consisted of batter. I probably won't come back, but next time I'll try the fried chicken! Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work, I decided to eat ramen before heading home, but it was already close to 10 pm and there were few open shops. I searched and found the closest shop, which I visited. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. I decided to try the "New Flavor (White) Ramen" (830 yen), which I had never tried before. The bowl came with chashu pork, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, and green onions topped with pickled ginger. The soup was a milky white pork bone soup, similar to tonkotsu but with a milder taste, almost like a pork bone clear soy sauce broth, with the added flavor of the pickled ginger. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles with a soft texture that paired well with the soup. Eating them with the green onions and crunchy bean sprouts was delicious. The chashu pork was tender and had a rich flavor. It felt like they had taken Takabashi Ramen as a base and slightly altered the flavor.

I visited around 5 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2022, and there were a few customers already there. I ordered the small size of Takabashi Ramen with firm noodles, extra green onions and bean sprouts, and everything else normal. It took about 5 minutes for the ramen to be served, during which I drank jasmine tea. The soup was a bit strong, but the texture of the noodles was good. The amount of vegetables was just right to prevent them from getting cold. It was delicious after all. Especially, the clear soy sauce broth was tasty. The small size was just the right amount.

I ordered the 710 yen Takabashi ramen with a side of 270 yen homemade gyoza. I also added double the amount of vegetables, including bean sprouts and green onions. The ramen was served with a strong aroma of fresh green onions. It was delicious, but personally, I felt that the thin noodles were a bit lacking. I prefer Chinese noodles or medium-thick straight noodles. On a side note, the menu's half-size set is difficult to read, so it would be better to change the design. The black border gives the impression that it includes everything from sides to dessert (it even says 1st STEP).

When I visited around 11 o'clock on Sunday, June 19, 2022, I was surprised to see quite a few customers inside the restaurant! It was a time when they had just started business, so I was a bit surprised. I ordered the Flaming Ramen with firm noodles, extra fat, mild spiciness, strong flavor, and extra green onions and bean sprouts! When it arrived, it looked like a mini Jiro-style ramen! I was happy about that! However, the downside was that the soup was a bit cold. The vegetables were crunchy, and with plenty of pepper added to the noodles and soup, I finished it all. It was delicious as always. Nothing to complain about.

I visited "Takabashi BiVi Nijo Store" for lunch in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City for the first time. It is located on the 1st floor of the commercial facility "BiVi Nijo" in front of JR and subway "Nijo" station. I arrived around 12:50 on a weekday. Although it was not completely full, there were quite a few customers. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I was seated. This time, I ordered a total of 960 yen. ・Takabashi Ramen (Regular) 710 yen ・Yakimeshi (Small) Set 250 yen Despite the crowd, the dishes were served in about 4 minutes. ◆Takabashi Ramen (Regular) I ordered extra negi and moyashi with firm noodles and a rich oiliness. The amount of negi and moyashi was pleasantly surprising. It was a delicious bowl with tonkotsu shoyu soup and medium-thin straight noodles. The toppings included menma, a few slices of thin chashu, and a mountain of green onions and bean sprouts. It was a satisfying bowl despite its simple appearance. ◆Yakimeshi (Small) The term "small" is quite modest. It may not be enough as a standalone dish, but it is a generous portion for a set. The taste was also quite delicious. I visited while reasonably hungry, and the combination this time was quite substantial. In these commercial facility restaurants, there are often cases of disappointment, but this restaurant left a good impression.

Finish before it gets cloudy - Kyoto-style pork bone soy sauce ramen! If you're willing to wait in line for over an hour near Kyoto Station at Daiichi Asahi, it's much better to eat here! It's the classic Kyoto ramen, delicious, and you'll be completely satisfied! Kyoto ramen is a taste I've been familiar with since I was a child, so it's comforting. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at the restaurant after 6:00 PM after finishing my errands at Nijo. There were three customers ahead of me. The single seats had partitions in front and on the sides, with large storage compartments which were very convenient. I ordered Takabashi Ramen small size for 600 yen with an additional flavored egg for 110 yen. I chose the light yet rich broth, with double portions of green onions and bean sprouts. The soup was consistently delicious. It was a bit too salty last time, but today it was just right. Although I usually prefer tonkotsu or salt-based ramen, I occasionally crave this regular soy sauce flavor. The double portion of green onions and bean sprouts had a great impact, but what I liked was that the bean sprouts were warm and the soup stayed hot. I always choose the firm noodles after having the mountain of bean sprouts. The thin slices of pork were tasty, and I like the lean type. The half-boiled flavored egg was creamy and rich, adding to the deliciousness. The small size always leaves me full. I finished my meal with jasmine tea for a refreshing end. I hope they can maintain this price point. The staff were as friendly and welcoming as always. The location within VIVI Nijo is convenient, with both subway and JR stations nearby. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on Thursday, January 6, 2022, a little after 8 o'clock, and it was quite crowded inside. It seems like COVID cases are increasing, but I didn't feel that much of an impact. I ordered Takabashi ramen with firm noodles, strong flavor, extra fat, and extra vegetables, my usual order. It took a little while for the food to arrive. The soup was a Kyoto-style clear pork bone broth, delicious! The texture of the noodles was good, and personally, I really love the flavor. The rich ramen goes well with the vegetables. Even though it was a small portion, my stomach was full! It was delicious.
