Today, I went hiking for the first time in 2 years to Atago Mountain Shrine, which is also a power spot. My friend who collects shrine stamps was grinning mischievously. We usually meet up at our own pace, so while I was finishing up my shopping at the convenience store and walking to the bus stop, a bus passed right in front of me... Wait, that wasn't the one I was supposed to take, right?! Ahhh!! I missed the bus and had to wait outside, but it was a good break before the hike (laughs). As for the food, I made some matcha warabi mochi, which had a texture similar to warabi mochi. We chatted enthusiastically from the morning. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the Atago Shrine in the morning and then stopped by a cafe near Hankyu Arashiyama Station on my way back for a break. I ordered a mango soda and enjoyed relaxing there as it was a Wi-Fi spot. Thank you for the meal. I forgot to take a photo.

I have no memory of the scenery when I got off at Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu train, but I probably came here for the second time in Kyoto Arashiyama in the past when it was used as the venue for the Kansai preliminaries of the National High School Quiz Championship. I can't remember at all. The preliminary questions in groups of three were all multiple choice quizzes, and the first question was about the "Daimonji-yaki" in Kyoto Arashiyama. It is famous, but if you search nationwide, there is also "Komodji-yaki". Is it true or false? It seemed like it didn't exist, but maybe it does? In the end, we got it wrong on the first question and left with a strong impression on the way back. Leaving that aside, I ordered a morning plate A for 490 yen (tax included) at the station, which came with coffee, toast, and salad. The unique thing here might be that it doesn't come with a boiled egg. The interior of the restaurant is relatively spacious, so you can spend a leisurely weekend here. Since I couldn't find an ashtray, it might be a non-smoking establishment. The coffee was surprisingly strong in bitterness, but it was nice to sip on slowly. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying a delicious curry, I decided to do something touristy for a change and hopped on the Hankyu train to Arashiyama٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و. However, I forgot to take a break after eating...(-_-) Upon arriving at Arashiyama station, the first thing I did was look for a café...and I found one right away! It was called "Café Ranzan" and they had a smoking room, so I went in without hesitation. The interior of the café was spacious and had high ceilings, not really my style (lol). As for the smoking room...it was more like a space for one person, so I was alone but still kind of crowded... (´△`) Oh well, at least I wasn't close to anyone else... (´△`)アァー Inside the smoking room, no food or drinks were allowed, so I ordered a drink at the counter. I got a "Authentic Ginger Ale" for 550 yen, perfect for quenching my thirst on a hot day (´∇`). While waiting for my drink, I took a smoke break in the smoking room♪ When I returned to my seat, the Ginger Ale was already there. I took a sip through the straw and it was delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness and carbonation to soothe my parched throat (´∀`*)♪ There were slices of ginger in it, giving it a sweet and vinegary ginger taste. Overall, it was a refreshing drink that helped me cool down and take a break! The café was completely non-smoking inside, so even non-smokers can enjoy the place comfortably. Thank you for the meal!

I came to Arashiyama to take photos of Hankyu and Randen trains...(^_^;) So, I decided to take a little break at the "Station Front Cafe" while I'm here ∧(ё)∧ The cafe is quite spacious, and the view from the window was really beautiful ♬/////

I stopped by for a quick break before heading back from sightseeing in Arashiyama. The restaurant is old but the seating area is spacious and I was able to relax. There is a smoking booth where you can smoke cigarettes.

I came to Arashiyama Higashikoen Park to support my daughter, but we had some time before it started so we decided to head back to the Hankyu Arashiyama Station where we found this place right in front of the station to wait. I had already eaten breakfast and I'm on a diet (constantly on a diet and rebounding, haha), but I decided to order the Morning Set A which came with toast and salad for 480 yen instead of just getting coffee for 430 yen. The atmosphere here is quiet and relaxing, and the flow of customers is good. I have a feeling I'll be back here a few more times this year. Next time, I think I'll skip breakfast and try a different set here.

When strolling around Arashiyama, there are plenty of tea shops and even restaurants on the second floor of souvenir stores. However, it's hard to find a place to sit down and enjoy a coffee. Maybe it doesn't quite match the atmosphere of the ancient city of Arashiyama. But in the midst of this, right in front of the Hankyu Arashiyama Station, there is a genuine cafe called "Cafe Ranzan". "Ranzan" is probably the sound reading of Arashiyama. It looks better in English as "Arashiyama" than "Arashi Yama". I had a cake set and tried the Fromage Blanc. It's a type of cheesecake, but not too rich. It has a strong acidity, similar to yogurt. It might be a good place to rest your feet and relax after finishing your Arashiyama sightseeing instead of starting your journey there.

It's a relaxing place right near Hankyu Arashiyama Station, with a smoking area that is convenient for both smokers and non-smokers. Located just off the main tourist area of Arashiyama, it's a great place to escape the crowds and unwind. I often use it as a meeting spot.

I was looking for a place to have tea on my way back to Hankyu Arashiyama Station from Togetsukyo Bridge. I found many tea houses, but the coffee prices were high (over 400 yen) and the quality didn't seem promising. Just when I was about to give up and take the train, I stumbled upon a stylish cafe near the Hankyu Station. I wanted to take a photo of the exterior, it looked quite nice. The charcoal-brewed coffee was 420 yen, and the cake set was 780 yen, which was reasonable. I had high hopes for the coffee's taste. Inside, there was a sunroom seating area, and the cafe was spacious. I was seated at a nice table by the window, where I could see Arashiyama taxis outside. We were asked to choose our cakes from the display case, which mainly featured roll cakes. I chose an orange tart-like cake, and my friend chose a chestnut roll cake. The cakes were well-made and satisfied our taste preferences. The coffee saucers had lovely white relief patterns. The coffee was delicious. This place was just right for us.

A café near Arashiyama Station. They also serve lunch, but we just had coffee. The atmosphere is a mix of traditional old-fashioned coffee shop and slightly trendy modern café. I ordered the Gâteau au Chocolat with a blend coffee set. My companion had crème brûlée and a cappuccino. The Gâteau au Chocolat came with whipped cream, which was a nice touch, but I prefer a richer chocolate flavor. It felt a bit light. The coffee was average. However, the cappuccino was a bit weak in flavor. It came with a cinnamon stick, but didn't have much aroma. Overall, it's a quiet spot to take a break, especially when everywhere else near Togetsukyo Bridge is crowded.

Curry, omurice, spaghetti, hamburger, sandwiches, cake... You can enjoy classic dishes at this café, which feels more like a traditional coffee shop. They have standard menu items that should be suitable for children as well. There is a parking lot available and the spacious interior allows for a relaxing dining experience.
