I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant Suiyo at Exe Kyoto Yase, where I enjoyed an 8,000 yen course. Dining at a Resort Trust hotel is always a delight, and the meals at the hotel are a must-try. At Exe Kyoto Yase Rikyu, dinner is served in courses, with each dish presented individually. The course includes traditional cold appetizers, a medicinal steamed soup, fried crab claws and mini spring rolls, shrimp in chili sauce with steamed buns, Hong Kong dim sum trio, black pepper stir-fried beef and bamboo shoots with colorful vegetables, sakura shrimp and shrimp miso fried rice or small tantan noodles, and Chinese dessert with fruits. The price for this course is 8,400 yen (including tax). While this course is the most affordable, other courses are equally impressive. I have tried Chinese cuisine at other Exe hotels as well, and I must say that the satisfaction does not necessarily depend on the price of the course. Everyone has different preferences and values, so what is considered satisfying can vary. I enjoyed the meal very much!

Although it is Chinese cuisine, it is not heavy and you can eat a lot. The appetizers such as wood ear mushrooms and century eggs stimulate the appetite. The shrimp chili and shrimp mango sauce were firm and elastic. The black wagyu beef lettuce wraps had tender meat mixed well with baby corn and green beans. Every dish looks lovely and sparks conversation. Smiles naturally come out and conversations with friends flow smoothly.

I had dinner here and tried the course called "Shenron," which got me really excited as a Dragon Ball fan. The food was amazing. Every dish was delicious, but the shrimp dish was particularly fun and tasty. The baked fish maw soup was also great, with a perfect texture and flavorful soup. For dessert, I was completely satisfied.

I enjoyed a Chinese course at "Suiyo" inside Exib Hase Rikyu in Yase no Seichocho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. The dishes were very delicious, with many high-quality ingredients used. I upgraded to the whole shark fin soup. The speed of serving was a bit slow, causing some stress.

Located within the Exib Kyoto Hase Rikyu, the Chinese restaurant Suiyo incorporates elements from other countries into its Chinese base, weaving in local Kyoto vegetables throughout the course. The course includes dishes such as deep-fried sea bream scales topped with a mixture of garlic powder and spices, allowing you to enjoy the aroma of the scales and spices together, a gentle vegetarian-style stew to savor the texture of Kyoto vegetables, and finishing with fried rice using Kujyo green onions. The impression is of Chinese cuisine with Kyoto ingredients woven in and a touch of creativity. However, the satisfaction does not seem to match the price, and the cost performance is not particularly good. Keep it up, Resort Trust! Thank you for the meal. [Standard course "Phoenix" 11,800 yen (tax included 12,980 yen)] Traditional Chinese appetizers in the style of Hase Rikyu Suiyo Cucumber tomato sweet vinegar, homemade char siu, jellyfish spicy oil, Tanba chestnut, roasted duck Fugu fin stew Foie gras royal style Stewed sea bream scales, Malaysian sauce and salad style with two types of shrimp preparation Stewed Kyoto vegetables and yellow wood ear mushrooms Low-temperature cooked black wagyu thigh meat with Hong Kong-born steak sauce Red king crab and Kujyo green onion fried rice Chinese dessert plate Almond tofu, fruit, Shaoxing wine-soaked raw chocolate, sesame dumplings

Overall, I was satisfied with the variety of dishes. The appetizer of Peking duck was delicious, and the shark fin soup was very tasty with thick fins. The Beijing duck was so good I wanted seconds. The chili sauce with spiny lobster was amazing, and the roast beef was delicious. The presentation of the crab and leek fried rice was impressive, and the dish was hot and flavorful. I had seconds of the house-made spicy oil dan dan noodles, which were deliciously spicy. The Hong Kong sweets, including the mango pudding and sesame balls, were also very tasty. The highlight was the chocolate dessert, which left me very satisfied.

This is a review of the Chinese cuisine at Yase Rikyu. The most reasonable casual course is recommended. The appetizers include jellyfish, char siu, and steamed chicken. Peking duck can be added for an extra 1100 yen. The main dishes include scallops, shrimp chili, and crab fried rice with Kyoto leeks. Dessert is almond tofu with sesame dumplings. We enjoyed drinking Japanese sake from Kyoto's sake brewery. It was delicious!

I made a reservation for lunch at the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel. The restaurant was bustling when I arrived. The spacious interior had a nice atmosphere, and I was guided to a private room. The lunch plate I ordered was well-balanced and very delicious.

The course meal featuring lotus root appetizers and Peking duck was particularly outstanding for lunch. It's more delicious than moderately priced Chinese restaurants in Kyoto. The flavors are not bland at all, yet not too strong either. It's perfectly balanced. Every dish is carefully and deliciously prepared. I will definitely come back!

Within the Kyoto Yase Rikyu, the restaurant "Suiyo" provided a private room for us as we had a young child with us. They even provided a high chair, showing warm hospitality. Each course was delicious, and we were extremely satisfied with our experience. The shrimp chili and shark fin soup were especially tasty.

I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant "Suiyo" located within the Exib Kyoto Yase Rikyu. I opted for the most luxurious course called "Shinryu", which featured high-end ingredients such as shark fin, Ezo abalone, and Japanese black beef. For the final dish, I could choose between sakura shrimp fried rice, small tantan noodles, or cold noodles, with the option for seconds. Although the course didn't have many dishes, I left feeling satisfied. The dessert plate at the end was also beautifully presented with vibrant colors. Since it was my friend's birthday, we asked for a birthday-themed dessert, which turned out to be even more extravagant. The restaurant offers a tranquil atmosphere where you can enjoy Chinese cuisine.
- Shinryu Course:
- Chinese appetizer platter with seasonal delicacies and traditional cold dishes
- Shark fin stew with superior broth
- Peking duck with orange liqueur
- Ezo abalone in Saigon-style garlic powder
- Roasted Japanese black beef with Hong Kong-style steak sauce
- Sakura shrimp fried rice
- Chinese dessert plate

We stayed at Exiv Yase Rikyu and had dinner at "Suiyo"! We had a traditional Chinese course meal called "Houou" for 12,100 yen. The meal started with 7 different types of delicious Chinese appetizers, followed by shark fin and egg white in milk, Shanghai crab soup, Beijing duck in two different flavors, Malaysian-style chili sauce steamed prawns, roast beef of Omi beef, crab meat soup soba, and a Chinese dessert plate. The food was all delicious and satisfying, with generous portions. The staff provided excellent service, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious dinner!

The restaurants inside the hotel are usually difficult to make reservations at. Normally, I enjoy Japanese cuisine at Hanare, but this time it turned out to be Chinese. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy delicious food here. This time, I only took a photo of the main meat dish.

When I went to see the autumn leaves in Yase, I stopped by for lunch. Although I did not stay overnight, there seemed to be availability so I was able to be seated right away. The spacious interior surrounded by large windows is bright and has a sense of openness. I had the lunch course, which was beautifully presented and had a gentle taste. Even my mother, who doesn't like greasy food, finished her meal! The portion was a bit small for someone like me who eats a lot, but it's a hotel after all. I hope to visit again during the cherry blossom season next time.

The restaurant opened at 8:30 on Sunday and when I arrived it was not yet full, but later it became full. I had a Chinese breakfast for ¥2662 including tax, and a non-alcoholic beer for ¥629 including tax, totaling ¥3291 including tax. The taste and service were not satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

Chinese Cuisine at Suiyo Exiv Kyoto Yase Rikyu
On the second day of staying at Exiv, we visited this Chinese restaurant. We ordered the Shenron course for 15,600 yen, and added Beijing Duck for an additional 550 yen. The name Shenron caught our attention, so we naturally requested it. The course included seasonal delicacies and traditional cold dishes (such as shark fin sashimi, red snapper, firefly squid, fatty tuna, roasted pork, etc.), crab meat soup with shark fin, live spotted shrimp seasoned with Shaoxing wine and flambéed with sorghum liquor, sautéed Ezo abalone with XO sauce in a hot pot, roasted black wagyu sirloin with Hong Kong-style steak sauce, and a choice of mapo tofu with white rice or cold noodles with South High plum. For dessert, we were presented with a dessert plate. Before the meal, we received a complimentary drink, and jasmine tea was also served during the meal. The meal was served in small portions, and we were allowed to have seconds of the cold noodles (which we gladly accepted). The additional Beijing Duck we ordered was a big hit - it was delicious! All the dishes, made with high-quality ingredients, were tasty and beautifully presented. The luxurious atmosphere and excellent service made for an enjoyable dining experience. To top it off, our friend I arranged a surprise for us with the dessert, making the meal even more delightful. Thank you very much! It was a wonderful meal!

In mid-May, after finishing the wedding ceremony and having lunch, we had tea and returned to the hotel in the evening. We visited the Chinese restaurant, Suiyo, located within the hotel where we had been staying since the previous day at Hotel Exiv Kyoto Hase-dera. We ordered the "Shenron Course" for 15,600 yen. The course included a variety of seasonal delicacies and traditional cold dishes as Chinese appetizers, such as fugu sashimi, red snapper, firefly squid, fatty tuna, and roasted pork, all of which were delicious. The fugu sashimi was particularly tasty. We also enjoyed the fugu bladder simmered with crab meat in a rich soup. The live shrimp flambéed with Shaoxing wine and sorghum wine was delightful. The Yezo abalone stir-fried with XO sauce was tender with a flavorful sauce. The Hong Kong-style steak sauce served with roasted black wagyu sirloin was incredibly delicious, and the sautéed young corn on the side was also tasty. We added an order of Peking duck for 500 yen, which was crispy and flavorful. For the main course, we had a choice between mapo tofu with white rice or cold noodles with pickled plum. Both dishes were served separately, and we opted for seconds of the cold noodles. For dessert, we were surprised with a special dessert plate with a message of congratulations for our wedding, arranged by a friend of my husband who had booked the hotel for us. The dessert was delicious and the gesture was heartwarming. The course also included a complimentary non-alcoholic beer and jasmine tea. Despite initially thinking the course was expensive, we were extremely satisfied with the high-quality ingredients, presentation, taste, and excellent service. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience beyond our expectations. Thank you for the feast!

On this day, I took a short trip to Kyoto. For dinner, I decided to dine at the Chinese restaurant Suiyo at the Exe Kyoto Kameoka, where I was staying. This hotel is located away from the city center, surrounded by greenery, making it a very relaxing location. I wanted to try the drunken shrimp, so I ordered a meal that cost around 15,000 yen. Each dish was served in what looked like luxurious dishes and the presentation was very refined. The dish that left the biggest impression on me was definitely the drunken shrimp. The staff prepared the live shrimp right in front of us, and the texture of the shrimp soaked in Shaoxing wine was so firm and juicy that I wanted to try making it at home. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal. For breakfast, I had Japanese cuisine, which turned out to be surprisingly luxurious.

I made a reservation for dinner at the Chinese restaurant Suiyo at Excelsior Kyoto Yase Rikyu at 7:30 pm. I had eaten a lot for lunch, so a slightly later reservation was good. The facilities are fantastic and very luxurious. I ordered Shaoxing wine served hot. I chose the standard course "Fenghuang" for 10,500 yen per person, which I think is quite reasonable for such a nice restaurant. The food was delicious, and I even added fried rice. I was so full that before returning to my room, I took a walk in the courtyard, which was beautifully lit up.

I went on a luxurious trip. Each dish was incredibly delicious. I felt embarrassed, but when I asked for seconds, they responded with a smile. I want to eat xiaolongbao again. I heard that during the summer vacation period, they have a buffet, which I am also interested in.

The Exiv Kyoto, a nationwide members-only resort hotel, is located in Yase. The restaurant here, which is open to everyone regardless of membership, provides a relaxing and elegant atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Despite facing some challenges with reservations and timing due to a visit to Rurikoin, the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate the guest's needs. The interior of the restaurant was meticulously designed, and the lunch course offered was both refined and delicious. The standout dishes included a succulent meat dish and a flavorful shrimp chili with fried rice. Despite initially being a backup plan, dining at Suiyo was a thoroughly satisfying experience in a luxurious setting, offering great value for money.
