"I felt like having Chinese food after a long time, so I visited this place! The road to Uji-Tawara from Jonan Tanabe area (Route 307) was surprisingly clean and well-maintained! It used to be a narrow mountain road where passing trucks was scary, but now it's much safer to drive on this beautiful road! The set menus have become a bit more expensive compared to before. The fried chicken set is a flat rate of 950 yen, and there are a few set menus that are over 1000 yen. I really wanted to eat fried chicken, so I ordered it separately based on my family's preference. So, I ordered the Five-Ingredient Knife-Cut Noodles (first time trying). The slightly thick soy sauce soup had lots of ingredients such as pickled vegetables, mushrooms, pork, quail eggs, shrimp, bamboo shoots, Chinese cabbage, green onions, etc., and it was very delicious! The knife-cut noodles are flat and wavy, not like ramen, so I ate them one by one. The chewy texture gives a satisfying bite. The fried chicken pieces were huge! There were 5 big pieces for 750 yen? I couldn't finish them all, so I took the leftovers home. If you ask the staff, they will provide you with containers and a bag (with an additional charge). If the set menu includes fried chicken, be prepared for a large portion!"

I wanted to go to the restaurant "Bansei" in Uji Tahara. Even though I rarely eat stir-fried pork, I craved vegetables, especially cabbage, so I ordered the stir-fried rice dish. It was a hit! The dish was filled with cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, onions, and wood ear mushrooms, all mixed in with bean paste and sweet bean paste. It was delicious and flavorful, making it easy to eat a lot of rice with the vegetables. In between bites of vegetables, there was also pork, which made the dish even more satisfying. The restaurant was bustling and had a trendy vibe, and the dumplings were also delicious, with flavors that made me want to drink alcohol. Everything was tasty, and I'm curious about trying their Taiwanese fried rice next time. Thank you for the meal!

I received a set meal of Taiwan ramen, fried rice, fried chicken, salad, and dessert for 980 yen. I was surprised by the size of the fried chicken, but I felt like it could use a bit more seasoning. The ramen and fried rice had decent portions and tasted okay. The amount of food was too much for me and I struggled to finish it, but I think it would be fine for someone with a big appetite. Thank you for the meal!

I visited here for lunch on a regular day. This building used to be a convenience store that I frequented over 20 years ago, and I remember there was quite a big dispute between the convenience store headquarters and the owner that was widely reported nationwide. It seems like this restaurant is a sister store to the previous one I visited, Manshoryama Castle store. When I arrived around 11:20, there were only about 2 groups of customers. Since there were no counter seats, I sat at a table towards the back and ordered the "fried rice set" with Taiwanese ramen. It arrived after about 8 minutes. As expected, the portion was really large. The Taiwanese ramen was slightly spicy, not quite like the Taiwanese ramen that Japanese people imagine. The noodles were soft and weak, and the soup tasted pre-made. The minced meat in it didn't really add much flavor. The fried rice was also plentiful, but I wish the grains were more separate and not mushy. It lacked the fragrant taste of stir-fried dishes and was a bit of a struggle to finish. The fried chicken, about the size of an adult fist, was crispy and had a good volume of flavor. It was large enough to make you full on its own. I finished with a refreshing almond jelly and ended up super full. I was quite disappointed with the quality of the fried rice, but the cost performance of getting so full for under 1,000 yen is excellent. The staff seemed to be from the mainland but spoke Japanese fluently, which was reassuring. Despite being in a rural area, I hope they continue to do well as a restaurant along the busy national highway. Thank you for the meal!

I wonder how they make it. The tamagoyaki is rolled from the top to the bottom. The rice is about 300g, a large portion. The flavorful Hachimitsu-don is delicious. The vegetables and rice are also served in large portions. It's too much to finish. The tantanmen noodles also come in a large serving. The restaurant is a big one. It's always packed. Good value for the money.

Set meal with fried chicken and Tianjin rice for 850 yen. Located along the national highway, this restaurant serves continental Chinese cuisine. Inside, you could hear the locals speaking in their language. The portion of Tianjin rice was equivalent to about three bowls of rice! Towards the end, it was a bit difficult to finish due to the strong flavor. The taste was decently good. The fried chicken was large and flavorful. The soup didn't quite suit my taste. I was about 90% full... overall, I was quite satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

While driving in the area around lunchtime, I stumbled upon a restaurant where the table seats were full. I was seated at a sunken kotatsu table and enjoyed a glass of water while looking at the menu. I ordered the Stamina Ramen, which had thin straight noodles with ingredients like Chinese cabbage, leeks, and small pieces of pork. The soup lacked depth of flavor, but the abundance of Chinese cabbage made up for it. The presence of a garage at the roadside was quite convenient.

Today, I visited a lively restaurant with a big sign on my way to meet my junior for an expedition. It was around 1:00 PM and there were only two customers in the restaurant, probably because it was in Uji-Tawara. I decided to go for the daily lunch special (700 yen), which included A: chicken in grilled meat sauce stir-fry, and B: mapo eggplant, with a side of ramen. I chose the Taiwan ramen for my ramen option. The staff at the restaurant were not Japanese, but they were able to communicate in Japanese. The sound of a pot being shaken echoed through the restaurant before my meal was served. The main dish was the mapo eggplant, which was a full portion and came with fried spring rolls, salad, and pickles. It was quite a generous serving. The eggplant was crispy and delicious, and it was mixed with minced meat and various vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce. Next, I tried the Taiwan ramen. The soy sauce-based soup was topped with chili peppers, large chunks of minced meat, and leeks. The soup had a nice spicy kick to it, and the noodles were thin and straight, with a smooth texture. It was a flavorful and authentic Taiwanese-style ramen dish.

I went on a mini tour and visited a restaurant that was known for being cheap. I arrived at 1:30 pm and was seated right away. I ordered the mapo rice set with fried chicken for 780 yen and the shrimp chili set with fried chicken for 980 yen. Both sets came with large pieces of fried chicken. I was surprised by the great value and left feeling satisfied and full. The food was just normally delicious Chinese cuisine. The mapo rice had a red bean paste instead of the usual black bean paste, giving it a different flavor. There are other Chinese restaurants with more depth in flavor, but for this price, I think it's worth it. The staff at the restaurant were Taiwanese, and some of them couldn't speak Japanese. It seems like there are more Taiwanese-style Chinese restaurants popping up around convenience stores. This restaurant can accommodate groups, making it a great choice for bikers looking for a meal.

Chinese food, the portions are really big. It's best to order one dish per person and share, it's just the right amount. The taste was delicious.

I ordered the set meal for 980 yen. The ramen was pork bone flavored. I ordered the shrimp mayonnaise set meal. I was told to wait for the fried chicken, and when it arrived, it was palm-sized. It was not what I had imagined, but I didn't go hungry until a satisfying evening.

I was told that lunch comes with a self-serve coffee, but when I tried to get a second cup because there was only a little left, I was told they were out. It was disappointing because it was still during business hours and if it's on the menu, they should have replenished and provided it.
