Visited with 3 people. The cleanliness was good. Recommended for business meals with clients. Not a place to choose based on cost performance. Expect to spend around 8000 yen for a normal meal. Paying the right amount will get you good service and good food. It's a bit far from the station. The menu mainly consists of grilled chicken, chicken sashimi, chicken sukiyaki, and other chicken dishes, but you won't get tired of them and before you know it, you'll be full. The soba for the end was also good.

Visited on a Sunday night. Made a same-day reservation over the phone. I had been to the now-closed location in Sangenjaya before, but this was my first time at the Ebisu branch. As always, the food was delicious. The more you eat, the more the flavor of the soup, meat, and green onions intensifies, it's irresistible. The fried chicken, which I tried for the first time, was also delicious.

First visit with 6 male colleagues. The appetizers, both chicken and duck, were plentiful. Sashimi, grilled dishes, and fried dishes were all enjoyable at reasonable prices. The famous fried chicken was especially impressive - large, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside, of high quality. The duck hotpot came with a generous amount of leeks, which we enjoyed cooking and eating little by little. A casual and lively duck hotpot experience, quite a rare find.

Located between Ebisu and Hiroo, there is a restaurant called Torinago. I have been wanting to visit for a few years now, but every time I tried to make a reservation at the last minute, I failed... This time, I made a reservation about two weeks in advance and finally had my first visit. I ordered the restaurant's specialty dish, "duck suki," for the number of people when making the reservation. Both the duck and the white leeks were beautifully arranged and looked very artistic. The staff member put the tsukune dumplings into the pot and explained how to eat them using the first piece. The duck meat takes 15 seconds, while the leeks take 5 seconds, so it's a race against time. With a command of "...are you ready?!" we anxiously watched and quickly grabbed our portions, creating a pot full of tension and fun. The thinly sliced duck meat has a refined sweetness (not at all overwhelming) and is very delicious. It pairs perfectly with the white leeks. The soup is already delicious from the start, but it becomes even more delicious as the duck broth melds in. It exceeded my expectations. It's a simple dish, but I didn't get tired of it at all and finished it all in one go. The only downside was that the duck came out frozen, but taste-wise, it didn't bother me at all. For the finishing touch, you can order ramen, soba, udon, or zosui, and this time I chose zosui to enjoy the rich duck broth soup. The staff efficiently prepared it with a smile. The lovely staff members who are attentive and quick to notice things are also a great point of this restaurant. We also tried some unusual dishes like duck sashimi, yakitori, fried chicken, and vegetable appetizers like tomatoes and spicy cucumbers, which were okay. Although the menu has a wide variety, I think this restaurant is mainly for enjoying the duck suki. I'm glad my wish to visit finally came true, and I would love to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I wasn't particularly positive about ducks, but this duck sukiyaki convinced me. It's delicious to quickly pass the duck through the broth without letting it get tough, then wrap it in leeks and eat. It's understandable that it's hard to get a reservation in winter. I recommend visiting out of season. It was no problem at all in the summer!

Hello, this is Ebizo! I'm back with another random update. Today, I visited a restaurant in the Ebisu area. Located in a back alley near Shirokane, this place seems to be popular among people of all ages and genders, with a diverse clientele. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats on the left, spacious table seats on the right, and private rooms at the back. We opted for a table seat near the front. There is a smoking area outside the restaurant. We ordered dishes such as draft beer (first glass), Nyanko salad, yakitori (salt and sauce), the famous Karaage, and various duck dishes in bulk. The duck dishes are a specialty of the restaurant and of high quality. I would like to come back to try the duck hot pot when the weather gets a bit cooler. They also have a Japanese sake called Fukuchizan Manzen Gosen that fits well with the restaurant's concept. It's a bit of a walk from Ebisu Station, but I recommend it to those who want to enjoy delicious duck dishes. (*^^)v

Enjoy a hot pot with plenty of green onions and duck meat quickly passed through a broth. This is a simple way to savor duck. The flavor of the broth comes out well, and it is delicious on its own, but it also pairs well with sansho pepper or yuzu pepper. Most people enjoy duck hot pot after having dishes like duck and green onion skewers, seared duck sashimi, and the famous fried chicken. Although duck hot pot may seem like a winter dish, it can be enjoyed all year round. It is said that duck in winter has a better fat texture.

Popular duck cuisine restaurant in Ebisu, Torinago-san. I called on the day of the weekend as a last resort, but they couldn't tell me when they would have an opening. I mentioned that I would like to come around 8:30 pm, and I waited for their call. Luckily, I received a call around 6:30 pm, and I was able to enter the restaurant around 7 pm. The counter was full as expected, and there seemed to be many young people, probably because it was the weekend. The duck suki here is a specialty, and I was mesmerized by its beautiful appearance. The duck meat is to be cooked for 15 seconds, and the leeks for 5 seconds, and they efficiently prepared the first bite and chicken dumplings. Even when cooked to retain some fat, the duck meat does not have an unpleasant greasiness, and it is surprisingly delicious. The duck dumplings were filled with plenty of condiments and served as a refreshing palate cleanser. Grilled sashimi (Gokumi) There are not many places where you can eat duck sashimi, but here they offer several types. Among them, I chose the most orthodox sashimi. Unlike chicken sashimi, duck meat has a different taste, and it goes well with condiments such as garlic and leeks. The signature fried chicken had a thin and crispy coating, and the meat was juicy. Whether it was the atmosphere of the restaurant or the refined taste of the fried chicken, it did not feel too greasy, which was surprisingly delicious. Potato salad The seasoning of the potato salad can be divisive, and personally, I found it a bit too sweet... It seemed to have a lot of sugar in it. I like potato salad with a vinegar-based refreshing taste, one with a strong potato flavor, and one with bacon, but I realized that I'm not a fan of sweet ones on this day... For the finale, you can choose from porridge, ramen, and other options, but I chose soba noodles. Soba noodles with duck broth and leeks is a perfect match, creating an elegant and refined taste similar to duck nanban. Choosing soba noodles was definitely the right decision, and I was thoroughly satisfied until the end. I would like to try the duck suki here again next time.

I met up with some drinking buddies I hadn't seen in a while, and they took me to this place to celebrate my birthday! It's a popular restaurant that's hard to get a reservation at, but luckily they were able to secure one for us. The restaurant is located a bit far from Ebisu Station in a quiet area, and even though we arrived at 5 pm, they strictly enforced a 2-hour seating limit because they were fully booked. We ordered the Potato Salad for 550 yen, the Assorted Seared Sashimi for 1650 yen, and the Duck Sukiyaki starting from 3850 yen per person. We had planned to have some appetizers before diving into the sukiyaki, but due to the time limit, we ended up starting with the sukiyaki right away. The duck meat was delicious and not too heavy, and the broth was incredibly tasty. The green onions were especially flavorful and I couldn't stop eating them! I wished I could have eaten more because it was so delicious. The restaurant is well-known and the food is undeniably good, but I felt a bit rushed due to the time constraint. Overall, the taste was amazing! Thank you for the meal!

I had a great time enjoying duck sukiyaki at this restaurant! The duck was tender and the broth was deliciously gentle. It was so tasty that I definitely want to eat it again. It wasn't greasy at all, so there was no guilt either, which was amazing! I highly recommend ordering the recommended fried chicken by the staff, as it was also incredibly delicious!

Visited with my child. Came for the duck hot pot, but the duck seared sashimi was already delicious... The grilled chicken, liver, and gizzard were small portions but tasted great. Finally, the awaited duck hot pot had a rich broth with shabu-shabu style duck and green onions, which was amazing. This restaurant truly showed the meaning of "Kamonegi." Will definitely come back.

A very good restaurant. The taste was good, and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are not cheap, but for the quality, the prices are reasonable. I went with a friend, one male and one female. We ordered the following items: - About 3 drinks each - Special hot pot - Seared sashimi platter - 3 skewers - Special fried chicken The total came to a little over 15,000 yen. We sat at the counter, and the distance between us and the next group was just right, not too close. The table seats were separated by curtains, so we didn't have to worry about the next group. It may not be suitable for formal entertaining, but it's a great place for: - Friends - Romantic dates - Colleagues - Regular customers Overall, it's a versatile restaurant for various occasions. It's a bit of a walk from Ebisu station, but it's easy to find as it's a straight road. There are many delicious restaurants near Ebisu station, but most of them are casual. This restaurant is well-maintained but not too formal, making it a perfect choice for a comfortable dining experience!

This is my first review after visiting for the third time. No matter how many times I come, I always want to go back to Kamonabe. It was a weekday, so I made a reservation just in case. We ordered a hot pot for two people. Some customers were turned away, so it was good that we had a reservation. The staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant were nice. We started with some snacks before diving into the main hot pot. The aroma of the broth and the beautiful meat were delightful. The golden broth for shabu-shabu, combined with green onions, was heavenly in my mouth. The crunchy texture of the onions and the refreshing taste of the meat blended perfectly with the broth. We could eat as much as we wanted. We also had a finishing dish, which was rice porridge this time. The concentrated flavor of the broth was too delicious. This hot pot is perfect even in the hot summer. I will definitely go for the fourth time next.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station, this restaurant is known for its duck and green onion shabu-shabu. You can enjoy two types of duck: thinly sliced and tsukune (meatballs). The tsukune is recommended as it brings out the flavor in the soup when simmered slowly. The thinly sliced duck should be cooked for about 5-10 seconds until it turns pink. It was delicious without any unpleasant smell! The green onions are not spicy, so you can enjoy them crunchy with just a quick blanch. I definitely want to go back again.

Visited at the end of Golden Week in 2023. Today, after starting the day with a "tour" of the Sapporo Beer Chiba Factory with my friend W, which was more like a drinking session, we hopped around Chiba area trying craft beer and ramen. In the evening, we decided to visit "Torinago" in Ebisu. I was deeply moved when I visited "Torinago Kyubei" in Fukuchiyama last year, so when I found out that I could taste that same flavor in Tokyo, I made a same-day reservation. [Parking Information] Not available. Total bill was 15,900 yen. *I was too engrossed in conversation with my friend and didn't take detailed notes, so I summarized briefly. - Duck sukiyaki, what happened? The meat was dry and completely different from when I had it in Fukuchiyama! My friend W mentioned that ducks are in season in winter, so they have to be frozen, which made sense. I was a bit disappointed. Other grilled skewers and duck sashimi were delicious as usual. [Overall Impression] Since I was engrossed in conversation with my friend during the meal, I didn't take detailed notes. I was surprised at how different it was. When I had it in Fukuchiyama, the duck sukiyaki was incredibly delicious, so my expectations were too high... I honestly expected the same quality as in Fukuchiyama because it's a high-level establishment in Ebisu, but whether it was due to the timing or the location, it was a disappointment.

Visited the restaurant at 5 pm on a national holiday with a reservation. Almost all tables had reservation signs. We ordered duck dishes such as grilled duck, smoked duck, duck with leeks, duck meatballs, duck skin, and potato salad before the duck hot pot. The grilled duck was tender and fragrant, the smoked duck had a nice smoky aroma, the duck with leeks had firm meat, and the duck meatballs were juicy. The duck skin had a satisfying texture. All the Kyoto duck dishes were delicious. For the hot pot, we first added duck dumplings to make the broth. The staff helped with this process. Then we added duck meat and leeks. The perfect cooking time was 15 seconds for the duck meat and 5 seconds for the leeks. The combination of duck meat and leeks was excellent, and the broth was so tasty we could eat it endlessly. We finished the meal with soba noodles and porridge, both of which were delicious. I had been to a related restaurant in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto before, but they didn't offer as many duck dishes as this place. However, the leeks used in the duck hot pot at the other restaurant were Kyoto leeks instead of regular leeks. When I asked why they didn't use Kyoto leeks here, they explained it was due to sourcing reasons. Overall, the only disappointment was the absence of Kyoto leeks, which are a perfect match for Kyoto duck hot pot.

Restaurant Name: Torinago Location: Ebisu Station, walking distance Budget: 6,000 yen to 10,000 yen I went to eat duck sukiyaki, and the broth was just incredibly delicious. If they sold the broth separately, I would definitely buy it. Eating it with green onions, it was light yet flavorful, and it really hit the spot. For the finale, I was torn between ramen, udon, and okayu, but this time I chose the "wasoba." The soba itself was delicious, and even though I was already full, I devoured it. They also offer takeout, so I'd love to try that sometime! #EbisuGourmet #DuckSukiyaki #Torinago

This restaurant in the northern part of Kyoto offers a simple dish of duck sukiyaki with duck meat, duck balls, and leeks. The duck meat takes 15 seconds to cook, while the leeks take 5 seconds. Once dipped in broth, it's ready to eat! The fresh duck meat from the Tango and Tajima regions paired with crunchy leeks is amazing. The clear broth is so delicious that you won't need any other dishes. It was so tasty!

I went to this restaurant because they serve duck shabu-shabu. It was my friend's choice. The restaurant was quite busy, with counter seats and table seats available. The yakitori and chicken skin with ponzu sauce were delicious, and the main dish, duck shabu-shabu, was tender and easy to eat. I was full and satisfied. #Duck #Ebisu #ShabuShabu #Delicious #Healthy #GreenOnion #Yakitori #Dinner #food #foodstagram #delicious #delistagrammer #tasty

About an 8-minute walk from Ebisu station, this chicken cuisine specialty restaurant is tucked away in a back alley a little away from the station. It is recommended to make a reservation as it was almost full on weekdays. The interior has a Japanese atmosphere with plenty of seating, yet the tables are spaced out nicely, creating a calm atmosphere for dining. The prices are reasonable, making it suitable for business meetings, gatherings, dates, or family outings. Our must-try dish is the "Duck Sukiyaki". The thinly sliced duck meat cooked with leeks in a hot pot is incredibly delicious. As you eat, the broth grows in flavor, making it exquisite. For the finishing touch, there are options like udon, ramen, or porridge. Highly recommended! Apart from the "Duck Sukiyaki", here are some other personal recommendations: "Karaage" - a huge piece of crispy fried chicken with a tender and flavorful inside, priced at 400 yen per piece. "Chicken Sashimi" - assorted parts of chicken lightly seared, offering a fresh and fluffy texture that is irresistible. Overall, you can't go wrong with any of the chicken dishes here. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back again.
