I stayed at the newly opened luxury hotel "MUNI KYOTO" in Kyoto using the GoTo Travel Campaign. It was a stay with breakfast included, so I had breakfast on the terrace here. Enjoying the morning view of the Katsura River and Togetsukyo Bridge. This restaurant is also run by the master chef Alain Ducasse, offering breakfast, lunch, and tea time. The main seating is at the counter with a view of the outside, and there are other table seats as well. First, everyone is seated at the counter for breakfast. The menu had prices listed, so I will include them. LE CONTINENTAL 5500 yen Assorted bread and viennoiseries Croissant, Pain au Chocolat, Brioche, Toasted bread Fresh juice Hot drink Sakura honey, Bordier butter, Nara ancient rice confiture, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, Part Tartine from the Paris workshop For the main, you can choose from 3 options: Poached egg, Bacon sunny-side-up, Brioche French toast Others include vegetable salad, yogurt from Yumegata Farm, fruit salad I chose the Bacon sunny-side-up with Comte cheese as the main. My husband chose the Poached egg with Nagano smoked salmon and Hollandaise sauce. First, three brightly colored juices like traffic lights are served, and you choose one. We chose the green Fresh juice, a mix of cucumber and apple, which was very mild and refreshing, perfect for a pleasant morning. Most guests also chose this green juice. Next, a large silver tray filled with sparkling breakfast items is brought to the table. The presentation is like the highlight of the morning at the hotel, and it brings a sense of happiness. The tray includes 3 types of bread and toast. There are also butter and jams to spread on the toast, and when mixed with the transparent yogurt, the taste and mood dramatically improve, making you want more yogurt. The croissant was crispy and delicious, and the Pain au Chocolat was also tasty. Among them, the brioche with nuts sprinkled on top was dramatically delicious. It was fluffier than I imagined, with raisins inside, offering a premium texture and taste. By the way, this brioche is also sold at the boutique on the 1st floor. If we were going home that day, we would have bought it as a souvenir. After a while, the main dishes arrived, and to our surprise, there were 2 eggs with different colors on each side. One egg was meticulously cooked to remove moisture, resulting in a clear-colored sunny-side-up egg. I'm not a fan of raw eggs, so I asked for them to be cooked thoroughly, and they were perfectly balanced and delicious. The sunny-side-up eggs were carefully cooked, unlike the typical hotel breakfast, exuding a sense of luxury. The bacon, which I thought would be sliced, turned out to be in block form, surprising me. My husband's Poached egg was beautifully presented, with a good portion size and delicious salmon. Finally, we had pineapple fruit and coffee. After the meal, we took a walk across the Togetsukyo Bridge while enjoying the view. The walk before the influx of many tourists was pleasant, with various birds being active and the nature of Arashiyama being fully enjoyed, allowing us to experience a different Kyoto like never before.
