▷Rwanda cold ¥650
▷Brazil cold ¥620
▷Salted Vanilla Cookies 5 pieces ¥350
A specialty coffee stand located a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. It is a small stand mainly for standing and drinking, but the inside of the shop is bustling with tourists from both domestic and international, as well as local regular customers! On this hot day in Kyoto, almost 35℃, I opted for iced hand drip coffee. I had the light-roasted Rwanda and Brazil. Both had a lovely aroma, gentle sweetness, and a refreshing yet substantial presence in the coffee, making it delicious~♪ The cookies I had with them had a soft texture and the addictive sweet-salty taste of salted vanilla.
They also have a "Coffee on Tap" system where you can easily pour your own coffee by choosing your favorite brand and setting it on the tap, allowing you to have a cup of specialty coffee in just 10 seconds! Even when you're busy and short on time, being able to enjoy specialty coffee is delightful~ The cool and delicious coffee was a treat!

It is located in an alley about 5 minutes from Kyoto Station. The selection of coffee goods is more abundant at the affiliated store in Marutamachi, but they do have tap coffee here. It has a local, community-oriented atmosphere. Before 3pm on weekdays, there were several groups of customers already there. The seating is simple, and once it fits 10 people, it's full. Takeout or short visits seem to be the norm here.

Tap Coffee ¥0
I bought a 7th-anniversary tumbler at the Marutamachi store and received a free tap coffee coupon, so I used it. You can choose from two types of coffee. I asked for the one with less acidity, but it was still quite acidic. Not my preference, but it's convenient if you live nearby. The Peach Soda is a limited item only available at this store! It was delicious with a refreshing sweetness. The staff were friendly, and the place feels like a community spot centered around coffee. It's close to Kyoto Station, but it seems to attract more locals than tourists. Despite that, there's no sense of exclusivity, just a great little shop. Thank you for the meal!

The coffee stand is small but welcoming, with a steady stream of customers coming in. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the coffee is delicious as expected. I wanted a strong coffee, even though it was hot summer, so I chose a hot coffee. It was a recommended Okinawan coffee, I believe... It had a rich flavor and was very satisfying. It wasn't too strong, but had a high aroma and just the right amount of bitterness. I also got some cookies to go, which I had later. They were simple but you could really taste the wheat flavor.

Located a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, this restaurant is situated diagonally across from APA Hotel. The owner, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs, has opened this restaurant after gaining various experiences. They also have branches in Singapore and Bangkok. The cute flowers inside and outside the restaurant are charming. Their matcha latte made with Uji matcha has a lovely aroma and is deliciously sweet. They open at 8:00 am, making it a great place to start your day before work or sightseeing!

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, this shop aims to spread coffee culture from Kyoto to the world. There were many foreign customers, perhaps due to its location. I visited around noon on a holiday and it was quite crowded. The cappuccino costs 450 yen and was served in about 5 minutes. There is a small seating area for dining in. The cappuccino was carefully made, with a smooth taste that was easy to drink. They had a variety of unique beans, so I plan to try their hand drip coffee next time.

I visited around 10:30 am on Friday. I was planning to go to a nearby donut shop, so I stopped by. The walls were covered with various coffee goods. The spacious interior made me feel the slow flow of time. When I entered, there were no other customers, but a few groups came in after I placed my order. I was recommended to try the matcha latte and hojicha latte since I had already had coffee in the morning. They use delicious tea from YUGEN. I followed the staff's recommendation and ordered the hojicha latte (550 yen). It took about 5 minutes for it to be served. They seem to make a powder into a syrup-like mixture and mix it with milk. The aroma and taste of hojicha were excellent! I hadn't tried hojicha latte before, but it was so delicious. I had been walking in the warm sunshine, so it was a good time to hydrate and cool down, and I could take a breather. They also recommend using oat milk, so I would like to try oat milk latte next time.

Located near Kyoto Station in Kyoto, this cafe is small but always crowded with people. The majority of customers are foreigners, likely due to being featured in overseas magazines. I had been curious about it, and since there wasn't much of a wait, I decided to visit. The interior has a few seats at the counter and standing space for dining. On the day of my visit, there were many foreign customers, ranging from Europeans to Asians. I placed my order at the counter and chose the matcha latte for its beautiful latte art. As the orders were busy, I waited towards the back of the shop where various coffee-related products were displayed. After about 10 minutes, my order arrived:
- Matcha Espresso Latte (Small) for 500 yen
The green matcha with a white heart-shaped latte art was visually appealing. The taste was overall sweet, but with the addition of espresso, there was a hint of bitterness. The coffee aroma mixed with the matcha flavor was quite enjoyable. If ordered separately, the espresso costs 330 yen. Despite being a popular spot, the prices were more reasonable than expected.

I often see this shop on Google Maps. I pass by this area regularly, but I have never actually been here before, so I find it interesting to visit for the first time. They have a rare light roast coffee from Guatemala and delicious baked goods. The decor is stylish, although not necessarily photo-worthy. The tables and chairs are quite small. It's more of a coffee stand than a coffee shop. I might visit again.

I missed it because I was reading a book facing the opposite way, but the counter with only standing or stool seats is intentionally set low at 8.5 tsubo so that you can feel closer to the barista brewing coffee. The house blend dark is easy to drink.

I entered the shop right when it opened on Saturday and was the first customer. The hojicha latte with latte art was so beautiful that I almost didn't want to drink it. It seemed like the hojicha flavor wasn't very strong, and the milk was the dominant taste. Since they seem to also be particular about their coffee beans, I'd like to try their coffee next time.

Kurasu is located about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. I'm not sure if it's good, but I walked along Isetan & Bic Camera, cut through near Hello Work, and arrived quickly. The photo composition is strange, but it was delicious so I recorded it. You can choose from several types of cold brew coffee, and the one in the picture costs 500 yen. This time, I don't remember the name, but it was a fruity coffee with a strong acidity. It tasted similar to a high-acidity chocolate. I wrote as if I drank everything, but I mainly had hot chocolate and my family had coffee, which I tasted. The hot chocolate was moderately sweet and not too hot, so it was easy to drink even in this season! The shop only has a small counter with 4 seats, so I wonder if takeout is the main option? I was also interested in the ice cream on the menu, so I would like to visit again. Lately, there are more coffee shops near Kyoto Station. It's crowded inside the station, so I think it's wonderful to have a cafe a little further away where you can relax and enjoy.

At a coffee shop near Kyoto Station called Kurasu Kyoto Stand. I had the Indonesia Flores Collective for 500 yen. When you think of Indonesia, you might imagine a dark roast, but this one was a light roast. It didn't have the earthy taste typical of Indonesia, instead it had a fruity acidity that was very easy to drink. I wonder how they achieve this kind of coffee. They carefully hand drip each cup.

At a coffee shop within walking distance from Kyoto Station, I ordered a specialty coffee called "Brazil Caio Pereira (light roast)" and a peach gelato for dine-in. The Brazil Caio Pereira had a fresh and vibrant flavor with a surprising sweet taste that impressed me. The long aftertaste was also delightful. The gelato was delicious with a crunchy cookie on top that was so good, I almost forgot about the gelato itself. I savored the happiness from this morning treat. Will definitely come back for more.

It was delicious, so I had one drink on the way there and another on the way back while taking a walk. I tried the coffee from Ecuador and Ethiopia Nigsegemedamde. I was surprised by the grape juice-like aroma when I took a sip of the coffee. Both were very delicious.

The stylish interior and friendly staff welcomed us warmly, making us feel great. I really liked the medium-roast flavor of the iced latte! Although I was already full this time, I hope to try their desserts next time I visit.

El Salvador 600 yen, Blend Dark 400 yen (100 yen off for a refill). El Salvador coffee is light and slightly thin in color. It reminds me of Ethiopian coffee. The aroma is very floral and lingers. The taste has a mild acidity but is easy to drink. Blend Dark has a deep, dark color and a heavy aroma like a dark roast, but it's not bitter and has a slight acidity. It has a good amount of oil. I personally prefer Blend Dark. I was surprised when they gave me a carton of milk to add as much as I wanted, even though I thought it would cool down the coffee.

Second stop on the Kyoto coffee shop tour. Kurasu, located just a short walk from COYOTE. On this day, all the beans except for decaf were lightly roasted. The Kenya had a vibrant aroma and refreshing taste, while the Costa Rica was fruity with a hint of richness. I preferred the Costa Rica, while my companion enjoyed the Kenya more. The staff were friendly and when we asked for recommendations for other coffee shops in Kyoto, they happily shared some suggestions. After visiting COYOTE and Kurasu, the lingering taste of coffee on my palate was a testament to the delicious coffee we had. I wish I had tried some medium or medium-dark roasted coffee as well.

After enjoying ramen at Kitada, I stopped by here for the first time in a while and ordered a latte size S. While waiting a bit absentmindedly, the friendly sister handed it to me. I also bought a coffee financier made of rice flour. I had a little drink in the shop and then ate the financier in the car on the way back. The financier was bite-sized and had a good taste.

Let's chase spring. After the cherry blossoms fade, the next to visit are the azaleas. The seasonal feeling is still rural, so if you're not careful, it's already here in Kansai. Oh no!! I need to hurry. On holidays, there will likely be more people than flowers, so I decide to head to Kyoto on a weekday to search for the already blooming wisteria. It's such a pleasant season, so I also consider it as a way to save money and decide to stroll from Keihan Shichijo to the waiting area. Along the way, I come across this place in a side street. Since there are not many shops open early in the morning, it seems like a good place to take a break. The open and bright interior is small but has a refreshing feel with its white-based, airy space. I order a cafe latte (400 yen) at the register counter and wait while looking at the coffee beans and miscellaneous goods for sale around the register. I receive the cup and sit at the counter by the window, opening my laptop and relaxing. The latte with warm, creamy foam has a refreshing taste with a bitter aftertaste. The balance between bitterness and creaminess is good, and it feels nice. I stopped by for a little break, but time flies quickly in this quiet space with a relaxed flow of time. I'm not chasing anything, so I guess I don't need to worry about time. After finishing my drink, I start walking again towards my destination. When I arrive, the small wisteria trellis seems to be already past its peak. Yay, I made it in time!! Rating details: 3.42

I found a trendy coffee stand about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. I felt like having coffee, so I didn't hesitate to go in. The small interior had about 4 seats at the counter. There was one customer ahead of me. A young owner seemed to be running the place alone. I ordered the hand drip coffee of the day. The wooden interior gave a calming atmosphere. It had more of a stylish apparel shop vibe than a cafe. The owner has a good sense of style. I sat at the counter and enjoyed my coffee break after walking a lot. There were various coffee tools for sale on the shelf in the back. They were also selling the shop's T-shirts! Before I knew it, a few more customers came in. It seemed like some were from nearby offices, as many were getting their coffee to go. Feeling refreshed, I might buy some souvenirs and head to the Shinkansen. I found a nice place near the station. I'll definitely stop by again next time I visit Kyoto.
