After live piano performance, there might be one? British-style classic cafe☕∗*゚*Kyoto Matsuo Shrine. *☼*―――――*☼*―――――. Cafe Andante @cafe_andante_. *☼*―――――*☼*―――――. A hidden cafe standing quietly along the stream near Suzumushi Temple and Matsuo Shrine, like a countryside house in England. The interior is also very cute and cozy with British-style furniture and accessories. What we had was Chiffon Cake 600yen, Baked Cheesecake 500yen, Rooibos Tea 650yen, Earl Grey 700yen. The Chiffon Cake comes with seasonal fruits! When I visited some time ago, it was cherries! Sometimes Kurage-chan comes to work here and might play the piano when she's free? You might be familiar with her on SNS @kuragechan_piano. The interaction between the white cat Hak-sama and Kurage-chan is cute, check it out! I want to go back to Andante again, thanks for taking me to the cafe, Pechitan.✽・:..。o¢o。..:・✽・:..。o¢o。..:・✽・:..。o¢o。..:・#CafeAndante 2-613 Matsunomurojikecho, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto, 13:00-18:00, 075-381-4887, Closed on Tuesdays, It's the next station from Arashiyama.✽・:..。o¢o。..:・✽・:..。o¢o。..:・✽・:..。o¢o。..:・#MatsuoShrineCafe #MatsuoShrineGourmet #ArashiyamaCafe #ArashiyamaGourmet

So cute! I got really excited just by looking at the entrance. It's so Instagrammable! They serve tea in big cups and it tastes as good as tea from a specialty tea shop. The Royal Milk Tea is 800 yen. The sweets like cheesecake and chocolate cake seem like something even I could make. The cake set with Ceylon tea is 950 yen. They are usually open until around 5:30 pm. I recommend this cute cafe for those who want to immerse themselves in a non-daily atmosphere. The cafe is run by a female owner alone, so sometimes the cleaning may not keep up.

I stopped for a break on my way from Koke-dera Temple to Matsuo Taisha Shrine! The entrance to the shop was very cute. I was worried it might be crowded since it's a popular place, but there were only two groups of customers, so I was able to sit down. I ordered a Darjeeling tea and a chiffon cake. The chiffon cake that came out looked different from what I was expecting; it had persimmons and grapes on top. The fruits weren't very sweet and the cake's cream overpowered them, so I was a bit disappointed with the taste. The atmosphere was nice though, so I think if I had ordered something else, it would have been better. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to stop by this cafe and found it by chance! When I entered the store, beautiful piano music was playing, and I was able to enjoy a graceful cafe time. I wish I had more time to leisurely enjoy the cakes and scones, but unfortunately, I had to rush this time. If I have the chance to visit nearby again, I would love to revisit this cafe! Thank you for the meal. (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

On the way back from Suzumushi Temple. I always passed by this shop, but today my wife wanted to try it out. I always thought the atmosphere was nice, but the interior of the shop was also very cute and pleasant. We sat at a table by the window and had "Montagne Blue" strawberry-scented tea with scones. The Montagne Blue tea had a lovely fragrance, no bitterness, just delicious. The scones were served with delicious British butter and were fluffy and crispy. The atmosphere was great and very relaxing. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Matsuo Shrine Cafe Dante - I finally revisited a cafe that had left a lasting impression on me a long time ago. Cafe Dante is located near Suzumushi Temple in Kyoto, a British-style cafe situated by the river in a relaxed setting. The landmark is a light blue teapot. The front yard is moist and fresh from the rain. I visited this place a long time ago, about 15 years ago, but the impression remains unchanged. The interior is filled with antiques, with a slightly sweet interior against a light yellow paint. The calming lighting and natural light create a comfortable atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of teas, and you can enjoy pot service as well. The cups are cute. Tea and scones. You can enjoy a leisurely tea time with a traditional cream tea set. The scones have a crisp texture. The jam and clotted cream blend well, following the British standard. The taste is lighter than expected, so you can easily have two scones. I was there for the scones, so I didn't pay attention to other sweets, but I remember the cakes being really delicious, so I might want to try other desserts next time. Thank you for the meal.

There is also a tea house in Kyoto that looks like an English garden! I had been bookmarking this place for a while after hearing about it. My friend also loves tea and nice ambiance, so we decided to visit "IKEYA" after having lunch. There is a famous temple called Suzumushi-dera nearby, so we thought about stopping by, but there was a long line so we decided to just have tea here. Suddenly, an English garden appears in the middle of a residential area. You can immediately tell. The garden is cute, and the atmosphere inside is lovely too! It feels like a charming English house from a movie, with lots of teddy bears on display. A lovely cafe surrounded by cuteness from every angle! We were lucky as there was only one other group of customers when we visited, and we sat at the spacious table in the back. It seems like the place is run by an elderly lady on her own. It's rare in Kyoto to use Mujika tea here. Another happy point♪ There was a great set menu, so I ordered: - Banana and Walnut Cake Set 850 yen My friend ordered: - Baked Cheesecake Set 850 yen Both of us also ordered Ceylon tea. The cakes were homemade and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The cups were cute and different from each other. The "Banana and Walnut Cake" was delicious. It had a rich flavor and a good size, offering a satisfying bite. The sweetness and moistness of the banana paired well with the crunch and aroma of the walnuts. We enjoyed the leisurely atmosphere and the delicious tea so much that we ended up ordering more: - Nuwara Eliya 650 yen - Scone with Clotted Cream & Blueberry Jam 500 yen I also ordered ice cream for my daughter, and my friend ordered more tea and scones. The tea was served in a generous pot with the shop's logo on it. The cups were also cute. We had three cups each. The "Scone with Clotted Cream & Blueberry Jam" was also homemade. It had a nice texture and was slightly softer than traditional scones, making it easy to enjoy with tea. The combination of clotted cream and blueberry jam was perfect. Each order came with two scones, making it a great deal. We ended up spending over two hours at the shop, and I would love to visit this kind of tea house in Kyoto again.

After leaving Suzumushi Temple, I found a sign that said "cafe 100 meters ahead" and decided to check it out. The garden was filled with beautiful hydrangeas and dahlias in full bloom. It's a good idea to check the opening hours before visiting, as I found out the hard way when I arrived at 1 pm and the cafe wasn't open yet. I called and was informed that they would open at 1:30 pm that day. The surrounding area had many shrines and temples, so I was able to pass the time easily with a leisurely walk. The cafe interior was perfect for a relaxing break. While many cafes have a British-style decor, this one had no Japanese language signs or advertisements, which I found refreshing. I enjoyed a slice of banana and walnut cake with a cup of tea set (850 yen). The cake had a gentle flavor with a nice balance of sweetness from the cream. The tea came in a large cup and had a lovely aroma. The payment counter had a cute frame-like design next to the kitchen, and the interior was decorated with knick-knacks and dried flowers, showing the owner's attention to detail. I had a brief chat with the owner, who mentioned they don't serve lunch but the cafe is a nice spot for tea. I plan to go back for scones or chiffon cake next time. Thank you. (The photo was taken with permission from the owner after I arrived at the cafe.)

The shop is located near Suzumushi Temple, along a beautiful river with cherry blossoms in spring. The garden is well-maintained, and I look forward to the rose season. The interior has a nostalgic atmosphere similar to the movies "Whisper of the Heart" and "Howl's Moving Castle" by director Hayao Miyazaki. It is very cute and lovely, with dolls and tableware lined up everywhere. They only serve cakes and drinks, no light meals. They offer over 10 types of tea, served in pots which is nice. This time, I had scones and Earl Grey tea. The scones come with clotted cream, whipped cream, and plenty of strawberry jam. They are toasted and served hot, with a crispy outside and fluffy inside, tasting very nostalgic. The clotted cream and jam are irresistibly delicious. The tea is fragrant and not too bitter, very tasty with enough for 3-4 cups. The shop is moderately quiet, and the staff take care of the garden, creating a relaxing atmosphere. It's hard to find cafes where you can leisurely read these days, but this shop offers a place for me to enjoy my own time. I will continue to visit in the future. Thank you for the meal.

This is a visit from a long time ago. It's a memorable place, so I decided to post about it. A special person took me there. As I walked along the river towards the Bell Cricket Temple, I found the shop. When I opened the door, I was surrounded by lovely roses in a beautiful space. The music playing in the shop was classical, which surprised me as I hadn't mentioned my preferences at all. I realized how well I was being taken care of. I had tea and chiffon cake. The fragrance was delightful, and the homemade chiffon cake was delicious. They served the tea in a lovely pot, and I had three cups. The time spent there with the person, the atmosphere of the shop, and enjoying the food while listening to classical music made me forget about my daily life. The restroom was also very nice, and the shop owner, who was alone, had a gentle demeanor, handled the dishes with care, and wore a lovely apron. Scones looked delicious too. The shop's garden was like one from overseas, and the shop's name may be inspired by Mozart's music. I am grateful to the special person who brought me there and to the shop owner. I would like to go back alone sometime. It was amazing. Thank you for the meal.

I saw a photo of a very cute shop and I really wanted to visit even though it was in a place I don't usually go to. It seemed complicated to take the bus, so I took the Hankyu train to Matsuo Taisha-mae station. From there, it was about a 10-minute walk. I crossed the signal right after exiting the station, headed towards Katsura where the train came from. After a while, there was a fork in the road and I went right, following the river until I reached the shop. The shop had irregular hours, so I called in advance. The staff on the phone were nice, so I had high expectations. The atmosphere of the shop was really nice and charming. It's hard to describe, but I envied the neighbors who could see this cute shop every day. The tables and teddy bears inside were cute and everything else was lovely as well. However, I was disappointed to see something dropped by a previous customer not cleaned up. I ordered a chocolate cake and a strawberry-scented tea. The homemade chocolate cake had a tiramisu-like sponge texture with a strong cocoa powder topping. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly delicious either. The tea had a nice aroma and taste, but it became too strong over time since I couldn't remove the tea leaves from the pot. Some customers stayed for a long time, but I couldn't spend too much time there due to these issues. There were other things that bothered me as well. If they address these points, I think the shop could become even more wonderful. It's worth visiting once, but it might be challenging to become a regular due to the location and other factors. I noticed a lot of small things that bothered me in such a lovely shop.

I revisited after a long time. The place is along the guidance of the Suzumushi Temple, drive by car. Park at the coin parking lot just before the bus turnaround, then walk towards the approach where a river flows. Cross the bridge and walk along the river, it will be visible on the left in about 3 minutes. It is covered by trees, so be sure not to overlook it. Today, I had a hot Darjeeling. It came in a white original pot with enough for two cups and antique English cup & saucer. The interior plays classical music, creating a really calming atmosphere. I had it all to myself for about an hour. I got carried away and uploaded more photos than usual. You can leisurely spend time here in the mood of Tasha Tudor. Recommended for those who like antiques and British style.

I went with a friend who visited for sightseeing on the way back from Suzumushi Temple. It was a bit hard to find along the river, and we arrived after getting lost. The garden was a bit natural but truly like Tasha Tudor's world. Although it's a different genre, it's like the level of "Pennen Nennemu" in Osaka. The service is very friendly and soothing. Even though I'm not familiar with tea, I found the Darjeeling tea we had to be fragrant and delicious. Although I didn't order it this time, the classic scones looked delicious too. Recommended for when you want to relax quietly with a small group on the way to and from Suzumushi Temple or Arashiyama. It's closed on Tuesdays but seems to have irregular holidays. Since an elderly lady is running it alone, it's better to call in advance before visiting. Thank you for the meal.

Discovered on the way to Suzumushi Temple in Kyoto ☆ Suddenly, a cafe that feels like a Ghibli world! It stood out from its surroundings. It was so cute that I decided to go in. The interior of the cafe was imported from England, with teddy bears and a piano creating a unique atmosphere. I ordered a cake set for 800 yen, which included a banana and walnut cake and a blended coffee. The cake was homemade and had a peculiar taste. It was slightly heavy and had a vague flavor, but surprisingly it was quite salty. It seemed like something I could make at home. Despite its simplicity, I managed to finish it. The coffee was average and easy to drink. My friend's baked cheesecake had no strong flavors and was simply delicious. They also had chiffon cake and scones that caught my eye. The tea served was Musica. When I asked for milk for my coffee or tea, they brought out ice-cold milk, which ended up cooling down my drink. Despite it being November, the cafe was not heated, so it was very cold inside (many customers kept their coats on). By the time we left, we were feeling quite chilled. Nonetheless, we had a great time chatting in this cute cafe. Overall, it was satisfying, but once was enough.

I found a sign for "cafe ANDANTE" while crossing a bridge on the way to Suzumushi Temple. I followed the arrow and walked past several houses, feeling a bit lost and anxious. Eventually, I arrived at a house surrounded by greenery, with a light blue kettle hanging outside as a sign. The interior looked like a cute knick-knack shop, and it had an open cafe where you could enjoy the natural breeze while surrounded by greenery. I went in for a light snack, but they only had cakes and drinks available. I ordered a scone and a banana cake. The banana cake was a dense pound cake with nuts, so it was quite filling. I was able to relax and enjoy tea while gazing at the lovely garden, and it truly helped me unwind from the fatigue of sightseeing.
