Located a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Mabushijufan Station, "Yaki Tori Kawashima" offered a stop system course this time. Here is a rundown of the dishes we enjoyed: - Sawaninabe (hot pot) - Assorted sashimi (including chicken sashimi, heart, and thigh meat) - Seseri (chicken neck) - Nagoya Cochin sand liver - White liver - Pate - Breast meat - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Apios - Nagoya Cochin tail meat - Kachokabaro cheese - Land-raised duck - Hasegawa Farm mushrooms - Kuroiwadodori thigh meat - Chicken wing - Chicken soup We started with the Sawaninabe, which was a hot pot with vegetables that warmed us up nicely. The assorted sashimi included chicken red liver, heart, and thigh meat, all of which were delicious. The Seseri was juicy and flavorful, while the Nagoya Cochin sand liver had a rich truffle-like taste. The white liver was creamy and reminiscent of foie gras. The Pate, served with blueberry jam, was a favorite of mine. The breast meat was juicy and had a nice balance of fat. The tsukune was cooked to perfection and had a tender texture. The Apios was sweet and nutritious. The Nagoya Cochin tail meat was fatty and best enjoyed with a squeeze of vinegar. The Kachokabaro cheese was crispy and flavorful. The land-raised duck was tender and meaty. The Hasegawa Farm mushrooms were rich and delicious. The Kuroiwadodori thigh meat was juicy and paired well with the sauce. The chicken wing was satisfying and flavorful. We ended the meal with a comforting chicken soup. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience with a good variety of dishes. I enjoyed every bite and had a great time. This was my first visit in a while, and it did not disappoint.

It's a very popular restaurant. The atmosphere is enjoyable for families and couples alike, not too formal or too casual. The meat is delicious. The skewers may be a matter of personal preference, but I like them. They offer a lineup that includes hearty skewers as well as creative ones using truffles. The minced chicken bowl was very tasty, and the fact that the table next to us also ordered it makes me confident in recommending it.

Cheers with champagne. Pinot Noir-based. I usually ask for the omakase course for 10,000 yen, but this time I decided to try it! Chilled edamame chawanmushi. Unlike the usual watery chawanmushi at other places, this one had a solid edamame texture! Sashimi, chicken heart, black rock chicken shirako, all thinly sliced but with a satisfying bite. Delicious! Nagoya Cochin chicken breast meat is tasty! Bonjiri is big and packed with flavor! Fat! Fresh ginkgo nuts, truffle-flavored pate, black rock chicken meatball with red miso? The crunchy lotus root adds a nice touch. Orange wine for a change. From Slovenia. I was intrigued by everyone else drinking it at another table (laughs). Red eggplant, hot~! I love chicken hearts! Jumbo mushroom, I thought it was shiitake! Lovely aroma✨ Duck with baby greens, minced chicken wings over rice. The bursting aroma of real Sansho pepper! It also comes with chicken soup, so you can make ochazuke by pouring it over halfway through. Delicious pudding! When I feel like eating yakitori, it's nice to be able to drop by here easily! I'm not sure about early hours, but if you go later, you can walk in on the same day. The chef may look intimidating at first glance, but he is incredibly kind and gentle. I've been here several times. I don't want it to get too crowded and lose the spontaneity, so I'd rather keep this place a secret.

I saw a photo somewhere and decided to visit this yakitori restaurant when it opened at 5 pm. I couldn't find the restaurant easily on Google Maps because there wasn't a clear sign. There was one group of customers ahead of me. I sat alone at the end of the counter. The chef seemed intimidating but was actually very friendly. I wasn't very hungry so I chose the ¥6,000 set menu instead of the ¥10,000 omakase course. Each piece of chicken served was carefully selected from different regions, and the grilling was delicate. The ingredients were fresh and served in the best condition possible. I found a new yakitori restaurant that I want to visit again. Next time, I would like to try the omakase course.

This was my first visit. I sat at the end of the L-shaped counter. The food was incredibly delicious. We ordered 12 dishes with a stop system and ended with pudding. The total cost for two people was around 27,000 yen, so the price was reasonable. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it a very enjoyable meal. While there are many great yakitori restaurants in Azabu-Juban, this one is now my favorite. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This shop not only has delicious yakitori, but also a great selection of wines even by the glass. They offer two courses, but if you don't need the meal or dessert, the a la carte option is the best value. I definitely want to visit this shop again soon.

The entrance had a sushi restaurant vibe, and the interior had a nice atmosphere with a circular counter seating. We ordered the yakitori course and started with 3 glasses of draft beer because it was extremely hot outside. The yakitori was grilled meticulously and each skewer was incredibly delicious.

Yaki Tori Kawashima, a dinner visit to the first time. The head chef, who trained at "Shirogane Toridama Kagurazaka" is the main feature of this restaurant. Above all, the unique feature of this restaurant is the use of the world's most expensive and rare "Kishu Binchotan" charcoal. Kishu Binchotan is different from other charcoals in that it has strong firepower and a long burning time, making it ideal for grilling delicious yakitori. Due to its limited supply, there are not many yakitori restaurants in Tokyo that use Kishu Binchotan. The course content is relatively standard, without too many pretentious items. Personally, the "Ginger-wrapped pork belly" I had that day was the MVP. It seems to be a staple menu item from the chef's previous workplace, and it was a surprising but delicious combination of pork belly fat and ginger. Despite his tough appearance, the head chef was friendly and approachable, which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Yaki Tori Kawashima This shop has amazing value for money. This time, we asked for the omakase option. The chicken sashimi included liver, heart, and thigh. The liver was especially delicious, with a rich flavor that spread through the mouth. The skewers were also of a very high quality. Putting yuzu pepper on the cartilage, squeezing some kabosu, and taking a bite was so tasty. The chicken wing tips were a new texture for me, sticky and chewy. Lastly, we had oyakodon and chicken broth. The chicken broth was a bit disappointing in terms of quantity for the price of 400 yen. Overall, we were very satisfied. We will definitely come back, and I recommend it for a date. Thank you for the meal.

[Date] Visited with 2 people on a weekday at 7:30 pm. [Reservation] Made a reservation online 2 weeks in advance. The restaurant was almost full, so it's better to make a reservation. [Location] About a 5-minute walk from Azabu-Juban Station. Located in a quiet residential area. [Interior] Only counter seating available. [Order] Started with a toast with enzyme drinks! They have a variety of non-alcoholic options that are unique and hard to find elsewhere. There are two types of courses: a stop system or omakase, and I chose the stop system. As I am pregnant, they served me a liver pate instead of sashimi in the beginning of the course. The liver pate here is incredibly delicious. It's served with bread, dried fruits, and nuts, which complement each other perfectly. If the liver pate is not included in the course, I highly recommend adding it! It's a must-try. The course started with skewers, served with grated radish. The standout was the tsunagi, with a texture similar to liver but with a meaty taste. The pork belly ginger stir-fry had a perfect balance of pork fat and refreshing ginger flavor. Delicious. Thank you for the meal! [Service] The staff were efficient and friendly. [Final Thoughts] Be sure to try the liver pate!

I recently visited a new yakitori restaurant that I had been neglecting! I went to "Yakitori Kawashima" in Azabu-Juban, which was selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in 2022. The chef seemed to be from "Tohgyoku" in Kagurazaka. I made a reservation through a booking site and visited on Wednesday at 5:30 pm. The restaurant is located in Azabu-Juban, about a 5-minute walk from the Namboku Line or a 10-minute walk from the Oedo Line. I started with a Sapporo Black Label 633 to cleanse my palate. I ordered the omakase course, and here are the dishes I had that day: grated lily root, assorted sashimi (chicken breast tataki, Nagoya Cochin chicken liver, heart), grated daikon (palate cleanser), black iwatodori chicken breast, black iwatodori chicken testicles, apios, liver pate, chicken lantern, soft chicken gizzard, lotus root, ginger-wrapped pork belly, boiled snow urui, tsukune, brown mushroom, tsunagi (heart and liver), grilled cheese with Tsugaru jewels (mini tomatoes), black iwatodori chicken thigh meat, Nagoya Cochin chicken wings, oyakodon (finale), chicken soup, homemade vanilla ice cream. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious local chicken dishes, with a focus on black iwatodori chicken. The vegetables were particularly delicious, such as snow urui and brown mushrooms. The tsunagi, liver pate, and assorted sashimi were also outstanding. I enjoyed lemon sour and Japanese sake for drinks, including Akishika Meiyō Junmai Ginjo Nigori Nama Genshu (Osaka), Suiyagura Muroka 1 Fire Junmai Sake (Iwate), and Jyutokuhi Junmai Namazake (Shimane). It was another great meal with delicious sake and dishes. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit again.

It was my first visit to this restaurant. It's about a 5-minute walk from Azabu-Juban Station. It's located in a regular building, so it may be a bit hard to find, but do your best to locate it. The food itself was so delicious that my friend and I couldn't help but keep saying how good it was with every bite. We even found ourselves closing our eyes and saying "mmm" while eating, making conversation difficult. The grilling and seasoning were both excellent, especially the sauce. The only thing to note is that it took quite a long time for the food to come out. We spent 3 hours there, and we could have eaten more, but it was getting late so we had to stop. We wished they could serve the dishes a bit faster, so that most people could finish their meal in about 2 hours and leave satisfied. Despite that, the drinks and yakitori were all delicious, so we will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Stylish yakitori restaurant in the competitive area of Azabu-Juban. Arrived right at 5:00 pm for the first seating on Saturday. Started with a delicious plate of chicken sashimi from Osaka Nosen-cho Akishika, so tasty! The Tokyo jidori chicken was small but packed with flavor. Not only the yakitori, but the pork belly ginger rolls were also delicious. Had three cups of sake after a long time.

I came here to enjoy a delicious meal as a way to end the year and say thank you for all your hard work. I tackled the course menu with an empty stomach, starting with a toast of champagne, followed by sashimi, grilled dishes, and my favorite liver pate and chicken soup as additional orders. I also had Alsatian orange wine for drinks. Since rice dishes were not included in the course, I added a parent-child rice bowl with the chicken soup. I ate until I was about to burst. I made a reservation as soon as the restaurant opened, so I was able to chat with the owner and had a wonderful time. I will definitely come back here when I crave delicious grilled chicken. I went to a restaurant without a reservation as usual, but surprisingly couldn't get in and missed out on eating. I searched online and contacted this place as a last resort, and they let me in! (They said there was plenty of room for late hours!) However, last order was about 30 minutes away. I thought I had to hurry so as not to cause any trouble, but they said, "Take your time and relax!" The restaurant was playing jazz music, and the chef behind the counter had a strong presence! The food was either à la carte or course. That day, I opted for à la carte. I started with a toast with Autumn Deer Mizore sake. It was quite cloudy! First came the sashimi. Heart, Nagoya Cochin liver, breast meat. I like the sweet soy sauce! The salad consisted of baby leaf lettuce, red core radish, yellow carrot, walnuts, mini tomatoes... The seasoning was probably grapefruit? It had a sour taste and a simple feel. Grated daikon radish was ready. The grilled chicken skewers started. They were like small chicken wings. The liver was sweet! The next sake was Kobayashi Takezuru. Ginkgo nuts. Pate with blueberry jam, walnuts, and raisin bread. I love this bread! Yagen nankotsu. Soft chicken heart. Topped with sansho pepper. It had a pudding-like texture! I stopped here. I requested only the tsukune skewer. It's rare to have mustard seeds on tsukune! Lastly, they served chicken soup and tea. The chef seemed intimidating at first, but he was quite flexible and very pleasant. I want to go earlier next time and try the full course menu.

This is the second time I'm writing about it. A nice shop in a quiet area of Azabu-Juban. It has a calm atmosphere and feels like a hidden gem. You can enjoy sitting at the counter and savoring the experience. They offer a variety of drinks such as sake, shochu, and wine, making it perfect for those who want to enjoy alcohol with yakitori. It's also easy to visit alone. They serve a variety of dishes like sashimi, chicken skewers, gizzards, liver, and more, and they keep coming until you say stop. It's hard to stop eating because everything is so delicious. The chicken they serve is Black Iwate Jitokko and Nagoya Cochin. I had ochazuke as the finishing dish, and it was amazing. They mix various parts with a liver miso-like sauce and serve it on rice. You can eat it as is or pour some broth over it. It was really delicious. For dessert, I had a pudding made from free-range fertilized eggs. It could be a good place for a date, even though they don't have private rooms.

First Matsutake mushroom soup was so delicious, it really hit the spot at this amazing yakitori restaurant in Azabu-Juban♡ The course starts with sashimi and then the skewers begin! The ginger wrapped in pork skewer was a pleasant surprise, with the sweet ginger perfectly complementing the pork. The grated daikon radish was also delicious, we couldn't help but ask for seconds!
