This is a cafe right in front of the Torokko Saga Station. I used it to pass the time while waiting for the Torokko train. The shop was not crowded, so it was just right for adjusting the waiting time. The matcha latte was not too sweet and had just the right flavor. Recommended for adjusting the waiting time for the Torokko train!

Arashiyama seems to have a lot of tourists returning already! When I visited after a long time, it was packed with people! Next month, during the autumn foliage season, it seems like there will be even more people, and if inbound tourism increases in the future, it is likely to become even more popular as a tourist destination. Even places that were already popular are now seeing long lines returning, with waits of up to an hour at cafes becoming the norm. While enjoying Arashiyama as a tourist spot once again, I realized that I had never ridden the trolley train, so I came to this station. As you get closer to this station, the number of shops decreases and there are fewer people, making it easier to enter shops. I found this shop and decided to order from the takeout window at the entrance. It's convenient to order from a takeout window like this to avoid crowding inside when there are many people using the indoor seating. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, so I was relieved even with the takeout option.

I made a detour to quench my dry throat and tried the shaved ice with yuzu flavor at the last stop. The name of the shop was revealed through the miniature rickshaw that appeared with the shaved ice - it seems like the rickshaw driver is serving it! The fluffy ice with yuzu flavor was unexpectedly delicious, as I was not expecting it to be so good. It was just the right amount in terms of quantity and price, unlike the overly large and expensive shaved ice that is often served. It cooled me down instantly and lowered my body temperature. I feel recharged and ready to head back home!

After riding the Sagano Torokko train and feeling cold, we went to the nearby Rickshaw Cafe. I had a Kyoto matcha latte while my husband and kids had ice cream matcha lattes! It was so interesting. It warmed us up. Wishing everyone a happy new year. #RickshawCafe #MatchaLatte #KyotoCafe #StylishCafe #KyotoSweets

Near Arashiyama Station, there is a cafe called Rickshaw Cafe opened by a female rickshaw driver. The cafe is decorated with rickshaw-themed objects, including a rickshaw inside the store. Despite the initial impression of being a concept-driven cafe, the coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Located right near JR Saga Arashiyama Station and Torokko Saga Station. I stopped by for a break after exploring Arashiyama and walking around. The cafe has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere with free WiFi and outlets available.
I ordered the Kyoto Hojicha Latte made with hojicha tea from Wazuka-cho, the main production area of Uji matcha. It has a subtle sweetness and allows you to enjoy the aroma of hojicha tea along with steamed milk. The drink comes with a cute rickshaw drink holder, making it irresistible not to take a photo.

I visited the rickshaw cafe in Arashiyama. It was stylish and had a great atmosphere! The rickshaw-shaped drink holder was cute ✔️ I had Caramel Latte / ¥650, Matcha Shaved Ice Soft Serve / ¥750, and Houjicha Shaved Ice Soft Serve / ¥750. The Caramel Latte was deliciously sweet. The shaved ice soft serve was also very tasty. Ebisuke-kun in front of the shop changes outfits depending on the weather, which was interesting. Definitely check it out when you visit Arashiyama!

In the still hot Kyoto, I took a break at a cafe located in a rickshaw shop called Ebisuya. The cafe offers a luxurious Mango Shaved Ice with ice cream and milk ice inside. They also have a Hojicha Shaved Ice Soft Serve made with Kyoto-produced ingredients. The cafe serves authentic iced coffee, and the garden with a water harp adds to the Kyoto charm. They even have a cute rickshaw named Ebisuke waiting outside. This cafe is recommended for those visiting Arashiyama. Takeout is available too. Check out the rickshaws in Arashiyama when you visit! #IcedCoffee #Hojicha #WazukaTown #SoftServe #Miyama #Yatsuhashi #rickshawcafe #rickshawcafearashiyama #RickshawCafe #Ebisyuya #Rickshaw #Kyoto #KyotoCafe #Arashiyama #Cafe #Japan #KyotoSightseeing #KyotoStyle #ArashiyamaSightseeing #ShavedIce #Espresso #Strawberry #IceCream #Mango

It was right next to Saga Arashiyama Station. I ordered a short size hot cafe latte and it was quite a generous portion. It cost 600 yen. I wish it was a little cheaper... Personally, I prefer Arabica coffee.

I had thought that the place that had been vacant for a while was just a café by Ebisu-ya near the JR station, and a rickshaw parking lot had been set up, maybe for tourists? However, when my friend invited me, I decided to give it a try. The prices for drinks were not too high, and there were magazines that could be useful for Arashiyama sightseeing. It was a café that was very convenient for tourists. My friend and I sat at a table, sipping our drinks and chatting. Most of the people around us were tourists, with the occasional local person. There was a foreign couple at the table next to us, and the staff were speaking fluent English, making it easy for foreign tourists to use the shop. The restroom was clean (the whole shop was still new), and the staff were very friendly, almost like the rickshaw drivers from Ebisu-ya. It made me think that it must be the company's culture (laughs).

I came to Arashiyama to see beautiful rose flowers. I enjoyed cake and coffee while looking at roses at Lavian Rose, and then had pasta at Arashiyama Yu, just a few minutes away on foot. I didn't order coffee at "Arashiyama Yu" because I was curious about this cafe where a rickshaw was parked. The cafe had about 5 customers when I entered. After confirming that there were available seats, I ordered at the counter. The bright space with sunlight coming in through the large windows. The window side has counter seats, and there are sofa seats along the wall. Cafe Latte (S) 500 yen. The latte art was beautiful, and the smooth latte made me feel relaxed. There were a few Japanese customers and one family from overseas in the cafe. It was a comforting space where I could relax. There was a staff member who was fluent in English, chatting with the family from the UK and offering to take their family photo. The cafe is called "Rickshaw Cafe," and the rickshaw parked in front serves as a landmark.

[Visit on May 2, 2019] Location: Located about a 1-minute walk from Saga Arashiyama Station. It seems like this shop just opened on March 29, 2019. I visited around 2 pm during Golden Week. It was a bit hot that day, so I bought a soft serve ice cream for 400 yen while taking a walk. The shop seems to have a spacious interior where you can also enjoy coffee. You can place orders from inside the shop or from outside. It was quite crowded due to Golden Week. Thank you for the meal.

A new cafe opened by a rickshaw company in a great location in front of JR Saga Arashiyama Station. They serve cafe latte and soft serve ice cream. It was a bit disappointing that they use paper cups. The soft serve ice cream was quite delicious, made with milk from Ujiyama. They seemed a bit inexperienced at first, but I'm curious if they have improved their customer service now. I might go back soon. The pudding also caught my attention. Thank you for the meal!

After soaking in the Arashiyama Onsen, I headed to this place near the JR station as Nakanoshima was crowded. The prices here are a bit high for a tourist spot. The milk-rich dish I had was delicious. The outdoor bath had cherry blossom leaves, but if I had gone the day before, I might have been able to bathe in the midst of cherry blossom petals.

When I visited during lunchtime on a regular day, there was only one other group of customers. You can enjoy a matcha latte for 600 yen. They bring it to you with a rickshaw, allowing you to feel the essence of Kyoto. The taste was not too sweet and easy to drink.

I went to Arashiyama the other day. I had some time before catching the trolley train, so I decided to stop by this cute and stylish restaurant with unexpected menu items. I highly recommend it to everyone. Check it out!
