I sat at the designated counter seat and ordered the service set with red miso soup. It arrived in just a few minutes! The lunch was indeed luxurious with delicious whitebait and alfonsino. The fact that there were many elderly people in line made sense. It's more about quality than quantity. The sushi was made well. Overall, I thought it was quite good.

I returned to BIVI Nijo Station at an odd time and decided to visit "Sankyuu" for the first time for dinner. The menu was reasonably priced, with two pieces of sushi at a good price. I started with bonito tataki, tempura of conger eel, and grilled salted salmon belly, enjoying them with beer and sake. The sushi selection included conger eel, eel, ark shell, whelk, fatty tuna, sea urchin, salmon roe, seared tuna roll, and grilled conger eel. The taste was excellent, especially the seared tuna roll. The sea urchin had no unpleasant smell. It's a great place for a casual drink and bite to eat. The miso soup was also very good in both portion size and taste.

There was an option to upgrade hand rolls to thin rolls for an additional fee, so I started with a delicious shinko roll. I really liked the shinko with perilla leaves! I enjoyed it so much that I ended with a salad roll and an eel roll. However, the eel roll turned out to be a regular-sized roll, not a thin roll!! It was a huge amount for a final dish. Tuna, squid, egg, battleship, bora?, raw shrimp, bonito tataki, salmon, octopus, and tekka maki. The sushi pieces are small, and the rice is even smaller considering the size of the toppings. Some restaurants make the rice larger to ensure customers are full without compromising the quality of the toppings, but this restaurant doesn't seem to follow that approach. The tuna sushi is made with bluefin tuna, and the tekka maki seems to be made with skipjack tuna. The tekka maki has cut-off ends placed on top. The squid is sliced like somen noodles with additional cuts made horizontally. The battleship sushi is made with cut-off pieces mixed with eggs. I thought it was tuna, but it has a different texture and a rich flavor, making it hard to distinguish. The udon noodles are likely frozen, and the broth is made with kombu. The restaurant uses good ingredients and pays attention to detail, yet the satisfaction level is not very high for some reason. What could be missing?
