Located in a prime location right in front of the revolving bridge of Amanohashidate, this inn offers a wonderful blend of traditional Japanese style rooms, delicious food, and exceptional hospitality. Many famous figures, including Yosano Akiko, have loved this historic inn. The rooms overlook the revolving bridge (which rotates when boats pass through), providing a unique view of Amanohashidate. Relaxing with a beer in the room while enjoying this picturesque scenery is simply the best. The price for one adult for this stay is 18,700 yen (including two meals and tax). Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is at 11am. You can arrive early and explore the nearby attractions, visit the bathhouse at the sister inn Bunshosou, or enjoy the day-use hot spring next to Amanohashidate Station. Now, let's talk about the dinner menu for the day: Fried walnut tofu, Autumn colors platter, Delicious Echizen shrimp, Steamed sea bream, Grilled Kuwai, Duck sukiyaki, Blackthroat seaperch tempura, Sweet potato rice, Red miso soup, and Dessert of the day. The dinner menu showcases the bounty of the sea and mountains, with autumn flavors infused throughout. The detailed explanations and excellent service add to the overall experience. The tempura blackthroat seaperch was especially delicious. Surrounded by delicious food, it's impossible not to enjoy some drinks. Starting with draft beer, moving on to plum wine on the rocks, and then switching to sake (Joetsu "Ayumasaomune"), it was a fantastic evening. Now, for breakfast: Red sweet potato vinegar from Miyanoue Soy Sauce, Pickled Miyanoue red seaweed, Yosano silk tofu, Miyanoue kettle-boiled whitebait, Miyanoue delicacy pickled mackerel, Today's dried fish from Miyanoue, Famous Miyanoue black fish cake and fish paste, Vegetables from Miyanoue's contracted farmer Wakuta, Egg from the mountain demon with a golden club, Tamba Amanohashidate clams miso soup. Surrounded by delicious seafood and vegetables, the chewy Tamba Amanohashidate rice was irresistible. It's strange how you can eat so much more when traveling compared to at home. The pickled mackerel... as the staff mentioned, just that alone could make you eat 2-3 bowls of rice. Right in front of the revolving bridge, right next to Bunshosan. It's cozy and warm, with a welcoming atmosphere. Amanohashidate has many charming inns, but if I were to revisit, this would definitely be one of the inns I would love to stay at again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
