The location near the station is great, and the lunch is reasonably priced and satisfying all year round. The eel bowls, especially the unagi don and unagi liver don, are delicious. The eel sauce is light and not too sweet, and you can add more from the bottles on the table. It's a nice touch that they have a tank of live eels in the restaurant. I haven't had eel liver much before, but it was tasty, like liver. It was a rare experience to be able to eat so much of it. Personally, I prefer this place over the eel restaurants listed in the top 100. The taste is good, the location is convenient, and the atmosphere is calm. It's a great value for money, and I really liked it.

The mixed plate of grilled eel and grilled liver is absolutely irresistible. It's reasonably priced and the portion size is very satisfying. The egg yolk also adds a nice touch of flavor. I enjoyed digging into it heartily and washing it down with a beer. This is the true pleasure of a liver grilled eel bowl, and I was able to fully enjoy it in the scorching heat. Next time, I look forward to trying the premium eel bowl.

A friend and I went to a new restaurant next to the central market, recommended by an acquaintance. The place was very clean and modern, which got us excited. We ordered eel liver bowl and eel and egg bowl, and while waiting for our food, we had eel bone crackers as a complimentary snack. Unfortunately, the crackers were stale and not tasty at all. When our bowls arrived, they were huge and we were impressed. The eel liver was delicious, but the eel itself was overcooked and mushy. The rice portion was also too much. Overall, it was a bit disappointing as we had high expectations. My friend didn't mind the eel and crackers as much as I did.

I came here to overwrite my disappointing eel experience from the supermarket the other day. I made it just in time for the special lunch until 3 o'clock. For 2400 yen excluding tax, I got a whole domestic eel, liver grilled, and liver soup, which was surprising. The taste was excellent. The sauce for the rice was a bit less, but there is a sauce bottle on the table for adjustment. The lunch menu is quite a deal, but even the regular menu is not too expensive. I would like to visit again.

With Mother's Day approaching, I decided to try the eel lunch that I've been curious about for a while. I love the liver-filled eel, while my mother loves tamagoyaki, so we both enjoyed our meals. The portion size was great, and the value for money was impressive. Regular customers even have the option to request less rice, which shows that they really care about their customers. It was also nice to see that they offer udon for my son.

Located inside the hotel, this eel restaurant offers delicious and affordable dishes. I watched a video by Kyoto YouTuber Kotatsu Han and decided to visit. This time, I tried the eel liver bowl, which had a generous amount of eel liver and eel on top. The eel liver was plentiful and had a unique flavor, while the eel itself was soft and rich in fat, making it incredibly delicious. When I cracked an egg over it, the dish became even more mellow and tasty. As a fan of eel liver, I was completely satisfied with this bowl. The liver soup was also delicious with its refined broth.

I visited the eel restaurant on the second floor of Hotel Emion. It was Tuesday, 12:20 pm, cloudy weather, no waiting customers, so I was seated right away. The restaurant was about 70% full. They offer reasonable prices for lunch. I decided to try the thick rolled omelette after seeing it in the menu, so I ordered the large portion of eel and egg bowl (2,310 yen including tax). It was stated that the eel used was domestically produced. The dish arrived in about 15 minutes. I poured the sauce on the table by myself. I also sprinkled a little bit of sansho pepper on it and started eating. The menu showed two pieces of eel, but the actual portion had four pieces for easier eating. The taste was not too heavy, rather light and refreshing. I felt like the portion of eel was not enough, so I wished I had ordered the eel bowl with a whole eel. I also put sauce on the rolled omelette, but I wished there was soy sauce available.

Hotel Emion has a variety of dining options such as an eel restaurant, sushi restaurant, tempura restaurant, and yakiniku restaurant. Some restaurants are popular with many customers, while others are not as busy. I personally enjoyed the crispy grilled eel with my favorite sauce and the delicious broth of the eel hitsumabushi. The price was reasonable and I felt satisfied with the value for money.

This was our first time visiting for lunch with three people. We ordered the regular and premium eel bowls from the lunch menu. I had the premium eel bowl and found the rice to be much better than last time when it was too hard. We were all satisfied with our meals. It was reassuring to know that this is a direct-operated eel farm from Kagoshima. The eel came with wasabi and green onions, but we weren't served tea or a teapot, so it would have been helpful to have some instructions on how to eat these accompaniments.

I finally went to the popular Chisato Unagi restaurant that I had been curious about. I arrived before opening time and found that it was already full, just 8 minutes after opening. I tried the lunch special "Jou Unadon" which had a piece of eel and grilled liver on top. The eel was thin but well grilled over charcoal, with a delicious sweet and savory sauce. The skin part wasn't crispy enough for my liking, but that could be a matter of preference. The eel was light to eat due to its thinness, but the grilled liver made up for it. The rice had only a little sauce, so adjusting with the "secret sauce" on the table is recommended. Overall, for the price, the meal was satisfying and it's easy to see why it's so popular. I also noticed a menu item called "Seiroju" that I'd like to try next time.

I went to the restaurant called Senri Unagi, which I had heard was delicious. I arrived 10 minutes before opening time as I heard there could be a long line. I was the 5th in line on the waiting list. After the opening, we were guided inside in order. We quickly placed our order as we had already decided on what to order. I ordered the Seirojuu (steamed eel bowl) with noodles (3520 yen tax included) and my wife ordered the Unagi Tamadon (eel and egg bowl) (1980 yen). The Seirojuu took a bit of time to arrive. The eel was tender and delicious. The rice was piping hot. I wondered if it was freshly cooked or due to the way it was steamed in the seiro. Either way, it was delicious. The sauce was also tasty, and the noodles were enjoyable. My wife's rice was also piping hot, so it must have been freshly cooked. I tried a bite of the egg, and it was delicious. Considering the price, we were satisfied and full.

For those staying at Hotel Emion, there are about four restaurants on the second floor, making it convenient for guests. However, it seems that locals use the restaurants more than travelers. It had a casual atmosphere, almost like a family restaurant, with regular customers chatting with the staff. The eel dish, as others have mentioned, is a good value. I tried a bowl with tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) on top, which you don't see often in the Kanto region. It was delicious. The eel skin was thicker than what I'm used to in Kanto, probably because it's grilled here. I left feeling full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I entered the restaurant about 15 minutes after it opened at 11 am on a regular weekday, and it was about 30% full. My order arrived in about 15 minutes, so they must have started cooking in anticipation of the lunch rush. The eel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and for the price of 2,200 yen for one eel, it was quite a bargain. The eel was slightly thin, but still satisfying. The sauce was a bit on the watery side, but it had a nice rich flavor. You can get a large portion of rice, so even those with a big appetite will feel satisfied. By the time I left at noon, the restaurant was full of elderly women. I would definitely like to visit again. It's a good idea to go right after they open at 11 am on weekdays. This is one of the benefits of being self-employed.

I waited for about 30 minutes for lunch on a regular day. I ordered the premium eel bowl (1 eel) for ¥2200, and it seemed like many people were ordering the same. I was worried if I could finish the portion, so I opted for the premium one. Sometimes I feel like food in pictures can be deceiving, but here, the eel was really big. If you pay a bit more, you might get even softer eel and maybe even tastier, but since this is not something you can eat every day, the amount and taste for ¥2200 was really cheap and worth it! I was completely satisfied and my eel cravings were totally fulfilled. The eel liver that came with it was crunchy and delicious, without any unpleasant smell. As for the eel and egg bowl, the egg was just a regular dashimaki tamago, not particularly tasty. If you're going to order that, I think the eel liver bowl would be a better choice!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I took a bus to get there. It was during the Bon holidays, so I decided to have eel bowl and beer for lunch! Feeling excited, I arrived 10 minutes before the opening time, and there were already about 5 groups' names written on the name board. Alright, I should be able to get in on the first round with no problem! Eventually, I was called in to sit at a large table, which made me feel a bit awkward. I ordered the domestic eel bowl with 1.5 pieces of eel, liver grill, and liver sashimi, all for 2970 yen including tax. It's cheap! Cheap!! The waiting time didn't bother me much. At eel restaurants, you sometimes have to wait a long time, but here it wasn't the case. The amount of eel in the eel bowl was slightly overwhelming. However, compared to high-end eel restaurants, the flesh was a bit thin and the fat content was moderate. Let's eat! I devoured the eel, the rice, and there's still more to go! I kept eating. The liver grill and liver sashimi had a standard taste. Personally, I prefer them a bit more well-done. But if the eel is delicious, it's not a problem. I noticed that I hadn't sprinkled any "sansho" (Japanese pepper) on my eel bowl. I sprinkled some on and it was also delicious. However, when the eel is really amazing, I always end up forgetting to sprinkle it. It's probably because "that eel is delicious even without sansho." I managed to remember to sprinkle some towards the end of this meal. I was full from the eel and satisfied, but then I realized something. "I forgot to order beer!" Why did I even come here by bus!?... I left the restaurant and bought a 350cc Super Dry beer (which I don't usually drink) at the convenience store next door. I walked to Ume-Koji Kyoto Nishi Station, which was a 3-minute walk away, and finished it in no time!

The "Domestic Eel Deluxe Eel Bowl with 1.5 Eels (with liver)" priced at 2970 yen including tax seems to have good value for money. I ordered it with extra rice (110 yen including tax). Although the eel was slightly falling apart, it allowed me to taste the original umami flavor of domestic eel. The cost performance was also good. It was a popular restaurant with some waiting time.

I visited for lunch in May 2022. The place is located at Hotel Emion. They open at 11 am and I arrived at 11 am and was able to get a table for the first seating. I ordered the special eel bowl (with a large eel) for 2200 yen, liver with ponzu sauce for 700 yen, somen noodles for 250 yen, Asahi beer for 750 yen, and Junmai sake Gohyakumangoku for 800 yen. I was happy that I could order an additional serving of somen noodles for 250 yen. The eel bowl was tender, fragrant, and delicious. The liver with ponzu sauce was refreshing, and the somen noodles were reasonably priced and tasty. The beer and sake were chilled, and the glasses were also cold. The service was pleasant, and I would like to visit this restaurant again. It is only one stop from Kyoto Station to Ume-Koji. I highly recommend it.

I ordered the eel lunch set until 3 o'clock. I had to wait about 20 minutes, so I had a drink while waiting. When the dish arrived, the eel was overflowing from the bowl. The sauce was not too sweet and very tasty. It seemed to be the portion of one eel, and although it wasn't a very large eel, it was a sufficient amount. Considering it was only 2200 yen, the cost performance was very good. I plan to visit again in July, this time with my wife.

I ended up at "Senri Unagi" as the original restaurant I wanted to go to was too crowded. The restaurant had tables for four people, and there was a tank at the entrance with live eels swimming inside. The children with me were fascinated by it. I was interested in all the menu items, but I was drawn to the "limited lunch" phrase and ordered the "special eel bowl". It was only ¥2,000 for a whole eel on top of the rice, which was a great deal! The thick eel pieces on top of the rice made the dish very satisfying. The soup was eel liver soup, with a light and comforting taste, and the pickles paired well with the sweet sauce of the eel bowl. The eel liver was a luxurious touch, and I felt truly indulged.

I came to a restaurant specializing in eel on the second floor of the hotel for dinner. There are aquariums and railway museums around, but there are no houses or shopping malls, so at night, most places are quiet due to the influence of the coronavirus. The restaurant has a spacious interior with more than 10 tables, and there were two groups of customers before us. The staff, consisting of two people handling cooking and serving, managed well. I ordered hitsumabushi (eel over rice) and unaju (eel over rice in a lacquered box). Since there were a lot of live eels in the tank, we had to wait for about 15 minutes for them to be grilled properly. The eel was slightly bold in flavor, with a nice crispy texture and a fragrant aroma. The sauce was sweet with a slightly sharp taste, not overly sweet. The rice was slightly firm and paired well with the flavorful eel tea poured over it, making it delicious. Overall, the unaju was also delicious, and I was satisfied with the reasonable prices.
