Daily special B for 1,000 yen. Today's menu is bacon pilaf, fried chicken, and spaghetti salad. It was almost full even before noon, around 11:40 am on a weekday. The place is always bustling with customers of all ages and genders. I usually go for the daily special A, but since I had ginger pork last time, I felt like having fried chicken more than pilaf this time, so I chose B. The food arrived after a reasonable wait. The portion of pilaf was huge! It was probably equivalent to about 2-3 bowls of fried rice at a Chinese restaurant, maybe a bit too much for women. The meal also included 3 pieces of fried chicken, spaghetti salad, regular salad, miso soup, and cabbage as a palate cleanser. The pilaf was moist and flavorful. But the fried chicken was outstandingly delicious! I usually order fried chicken at ramen shops, but this was on a whole different level of tastiness! The seasoning on the coating was so flavorful that it was more like karaage (Japanese fried chicken) than regular fried chicken. It was truly amazing! Every dish was consistently delicious, and I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a nearby restaurant that is closed on Sundays and has a difficult parking situation. I ordered the daily special set A, which included hamburger, cream croquette, and macaroni salad. The hamburger had a homemade look with uneven shape, the cream croquette tasted like it had cheese in it, and the macaroni salad had a spicy mayonnaise flavor. Each dish was decently delicious. The taste felt more like a traditional Japanese set meal rather than a Western-style restaurant. The restaurant has parking space for four cars at the back, but it can be a bit challenging to park after the third car.

Today's lunch was at "Coffee & Kitchen Karinya" in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto. It is a Western-style restaurant located near Ikeda Higashi Elementary School along the Shin-Nara Highway. The exterior has a brick-like design with a red tent as a focal point. The parking lot is a bit hard to find, but you can enter the building underneath the pilothouse on the left side of the restaurant. There is space for about 5 cars to park. The interior of the restaurant is unconventional, with a counter and tables lined up. They have daily specials, and on this day, the hamburger was sold out. The standard menu includes hamburgers, Western dishes, and curry. The transition from cream croquettes to Western dishes is also noticeable. They also offer a special Western-style bento box at a reasonable price. I ordered the "Special Hamburger & Cream Croquette" for 1200 yen. They serve cold tea in a pitcher. The food is brought on a wooden square plate, consisting of rice, miso soup, and the main plate. The miso soup is piping hot and has a traditional Japanese taste with daikon radish, cabbage, and fried tofu. The rice is sprinkled with sesame seeds. The main plate features the famous hamburger and cream croquette. The salad on the side is finely chopped, and the dressing is unique and tasty. The macaroni is a bit short and difficult to eat, but the taste of the egg is prominent. The hamburger looks bold and thick, but it is tender, juicy, and well-seasoned with demi-glace sauce. The cream croquette is smaller but delicious, with a tomato sauce that complements the creamy filling inside. The cheese adds a nice touch to the sauce. It seems that this authentic Western cuisine is well-loved by the locals and has a lot of quality.

I had the daily special set meal A (shrimp fry + hamburger) for 1,000 yen (tax included). Being Japanese, I first took a sip of miso soup. It was made with white koji miso, with a fragrant aroma of seaweed, and packed with ingredients like carrots, aburaage (fried tofu), tofu, napa cabbage, and green onions. The shrimp fry had a thick coating, but the flavor was well-balanced and delicious. It went really well with the tartar sauce filled with chopped eggs. The hamburger was made with coarsely ground meat, and you could taste the chopped onions as you chewed. Personally, I think it could have been a bit more flavorful. A dash of Worcestershire sauce from the table elevated the taste. The pickled cabbage with salted seaweed and garlic made me feel energized and ready to devour the rice. The macaroni salad was a nice addition too. Thank you for the meal.

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while now. I finally had the chance when I had some business nearby! The daily lunch special was ¥1000 (tax included) and on this day, it was hamburger and shrimp fry. What a hit! The hamburger was incredibly fluffy and the demi-glace sauce was very authentic. The shrimp fry was the real deal! Plenty of homemade tartar sauce too. It's a shop that takes pride in their handcrafted dishes. It was a popular place with a steady stream of customers. They have a parking lot, but it's on a steep slope so parking might be a bit challenging. The food was delicious and I can't wait to go back again soon. Thank you for the meal.

The hamburger and cream croquette cost ¥1000, and the hamburger and shrimp fry cost ¥1200. The portions were huge and I left feeling full. There were many construction worker type customers ordering omurice and something else. I want to try the omurice next time I go. One thing that caught my attention was... the outside of the glass was dirty.

The special hamburger & cream croquette set for 1,000 yen (with salad, rice, and miso soup) was delicious. The hamburger could use a bit more seasoning. There was soy sauce and sauce on the table, but no salt. The cream croquette had a nice crispy texture and good flavor. The rice and miso soup portions were generous, and I ended up feeling quite full. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived around 12:30 on a weekday. Only 2 groups of customers already there. Plenty of seating available. Daily special for 880 yen. Included hamburger, white fish fry, and macaroni. Comes with rice and miso soup. Food was served in less than 10 minutes. Chicken cutlet set is 850 yen. The hamburger was juicy and soft, with a flavorful sauce. The fry seemed freshly made with a crispy coating. Other fried dishes are likely good too. However, the meat portion was not as generous as the coating. The macaroni had a curry flavor, a satisfying amount that doesn't leave you too full. The clientele seemed to be mostly blue-collar workers, perhaps due to nearby construction work.

I heard there was a popular Western-style restaurant along the Tezukuri Street, so I visited it for my friend's birthday. When I arrived, the parking lot was full, showing how popular it is. I ordered the A set meal with chicken sauté and shrimp cream croquette. It came with macaroni salad on one plate. It also included miso soup. It was nice to be able to casually enjoy delicious Western food.

Every year, I go to Daigo-ji Temple for the traditional cherry blossom viewing. The roads around this area are always congested with cars, so I park at Daigo Station's parking lot and walk about 20 minutes on foot from there. Instead of going to the restaurants inside Daigo-ji Temple like I usually do, I decided to stop at a Western-style restaurant called "Karin-ya" on the way. The restaurant is relatively simple, with wooden floors and walls. There are more than 20 seats including table and counter seats, but during lunchtime and being near Daigo-ji Temple, all seats were already taken by 11:30. I ordered the Mixed Fry A with extra rice (1000 yen + 100 yen). The portion of rice was huge, even though the staff asked me if I wanted a normal portion. The set included white fish, shrimp, and cream croquette, all in large sizes. The homemade tartar sauce was creamy and flavorful, perfect with the rice. My wife ordered the Omu-rice, which was also a big portion. The demi-glace sauce on the Omu-rice was light and flavorful. Even though we were stuffed before heading to the cherry blossom viewing, we were very satisfied with the lunch. It was delicious!

Homemade hamburger & tonkatsu for 1000 yen☆ A Western-style restaurant in Daigo, Fushimi-ku. I visited for lunch! It is located along the Shin-Nara Highway, with a parking lot for 4 cars at the back. The new building has a clean and spacious interior. Last order is at 3:30 PM, so it's convenient for a late lunch! There are daily specials on the menu board, and this time I ordered the regular menu of hamburger & tonkatsu. You can choose from 3 types of sauce for the hamburger, and I chose the homemade demi-glace sauce. The homemade demi-glace sauce has a slightly sweet taste, maybe with miso in it? The hamburger, generously coated with this sauce, is a firm and crispy type, reminiscent of a nostalgic home-style hamburger. The portion of the hamburger alone is quite substantial, and it comes with a hearty tonkatsu! The tonkatsu, a thick cutlet, has a good volume! It is made with pork loin and is tender, with a fine and crispy bread crumb coating. It is fried to a crisp! It also had the same sauce as the hamburger. The side dishes include plenty of vegetables and macaroni salad! The macaroni was a bit soft and overcooked on this day. Maybe it was just for that day? Well, let's just accept it. The side dishes also have a good volume! The miso soup is full of ingredients, providing quite a satisfying meal! With this price and this much volume!! I am fully satisfied, my stomach is full! \̏(º̻∇º̻)/̋
